Catchpoint Synthetic Monitoring and Digital Experience
What do you like best about the product?
We primarily rely on Catchpoint for synthetic monitoring for both our internal and externally facing applications. It offers tremendous flexibility for both our operations teams and devops teams. Software aside, the level of support we receive from Catchpoint is always excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
No specific issues or dislikes come to mind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Early detection of degraded user experience is critical to our business. Catchpoint synthetic monitoring plays a key role in reducing our time to restore service and/or maintaining a consistent level of service delivery.

What do you like best about the product?
It has all the features and nodes I need and their support is fantastic and addressing my issues or creating new features for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything that I dislike on their platform.

We are monitoring our site for performance and availability, as well as testing performance.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool is very user - friendly and straightforward with all the functionalities that individuals wish to have in a synthetic monitoring tool. This tool is very user - friendly and straightforward with all the functionalities that individuals wish to have in a synthetic monitoring tool. The support team for this tool rocks. They generally respond within a minute to calls / chats and are very savvy / abled to support L1 staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool should expose more relevant information such as alerts and contacts through the API, for instance the REST API library could be updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization uses the tool for executing synthetic monitoring from both inside and outside our organization against most of our top tier apps. Catchpoint generally helps us pinpoint anticipated root causes such as those of problems with networks, data centers, etc.

I could easily set alerts and monitoring in CatchPoint which help to check our service health from time to time

So far everything works fine for us, and I could not name a disliked item

What do you like best about the product?
Catchpoint has more than 500 testing nodes around the world that making it a good choice for global businesses. It has a comprehensive view which combines efficiently with real user monitoring and synthetic monitoring. Applications can easily be tested behind firewall.
What do you dislike about the product?
To start a free trial and get the setup you have to work with their sales rep. Last mile testing is not available for everyone. It is currently available for internet service providers in certain geographical locations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to analyze trends to identify where you have improved or degraded over time. The visualizations are excellent and extremely customizable.

The solution encompasses all monitoring features that a monitoring engineer would look for. Our company has an enterprise system. Catchpoint works very well for us

The user interface and some navigation methods can be improved.

Outstanding product and customer support!
What do you like best about the product?
The Catchpoint product is very easy to use and intuitive and has all the features I look for in a synthetic monitoring tool. And their customer support is out of this world. They typically answer calls/chats within a minute and the L1 support staff are very knowledgeable/capable. They follow up on a frequent basis for issues that cannot be resolved right away, and Catchpoint is always willing and eager to join ongoing incident calls if needed to help us troubleshoot issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am very happy with the product, but if there was one area I would like to see it improved, I would say the REST API could be updated to expose more information such as alerts and contacts through the API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are executing synthetic monitoring against most of our top tier apps from both inside and outside of our organization. Catchpoint generally helps us narrow down on potential root cause such as network issues, data center issues, etc... very quickly. Catchpoint has very robust analysis capabilities to help slice and dic the data.
Best product for synthetic monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of features to choose from, provide details that were not available with Dynatrace and the response time of the UI is very good, a huge list of location agents to choose from.
What do you dislike about the product?
As they have a lot of features, learning could take some time but you can get started very quickly as they would help you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using it for performance monitoring of our applications.

The product is very good and will fit with most companies budgets.

What do you like best about the product?
IT HELPS BUSINESSES FIX & DETECT ISSUES FAST. IT HELPS DISCOVER THE AREAS THAT NEED THE MOST IMPROVEMENT. THEY ARE A TRUE PARTNER AND HAS A LOT OF CUSTOMER SUCCESS. THEY ARE TRULY PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT THEY DO.
What do you dislike about the product?
I DO NOT LIKE THAT IT IS DIFFICULT TO GET AHOLD OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT FIXED AND DETECTS ISSUES WITH THE BUSINESS FAST. IT HAS A GOOD INTERFACE. IT HELPS WITH CUSTOMER CRITICAL SERVICES. IT IS BUILT FOR THE DIGITAL ERA. WORKS WELL WITH THE CLOUD.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
THEY ARE EAGER TO HELP WHEN NEEDED. THEYRE ANALYTICS ARE FAST. THE DATA GETS ANALYZED FASTER, IT CAN DETECT AND DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND COME UP WITH A SOLUTION.
