Eases Data Management with Flexibility and Speed

  • March 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that IBM watsonx.data integration provides a 60% speed increase on projects and offers real-world benefits this year. The use of Iceberg allows for flexibility in using any tools, which is a big advantage. I also appreciate the focus on cost control and the capability for faster compliance audits due to effective data governance. The hybrid cloud access is beneficial, along with features like unstructured ingestion, multi-engine execution, and automation lineage. I find the zero-copy feature particularly helpful as it eliminates waiting for data migration. Setup time is reduced to minutes, data latency is brought to real-time, and storage costs are optimized to a single source, with low maintenance required. The SaaS management aspect makes it easy to use, and the AI-driven enhancements, such as AI-powered assistants, are noteworthy.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Steep learning curve for non-IBM experts. 2. Complex hybrid cloud network. 3. UI & UX could be faster for a more intuitive browser experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM watsonx.data integration solves data silos, scales traditional warehouses, and uses Iceberg for flexibility. It accelerates projects and offers cost control and governance for quicker compliance audits.

Powerful ETL Tool with a Steep Learning Curve

  • March 26, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that IBM watsonx.data integration automates complex data pipelines with minimal manual effort. It's scalable and reliable, which makes integrating multiple data sources easy. It also integrates well with backend systems to ensure smooth data flow for analytics and reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
While IBM watsonx.data integration is powerful, the learning curve can be a bit steep for new users, and initial setup/configuration can take time. The initial setup could be improved with more guided onboarding, such as step-by-step setup wizards and clearer documentation for common use cases. Preconfigured templates for typical ETL pipelines would also help reduce setup time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use IBM watsonx.data integration to automate ETL workflows, solving data silos and manual processing issues. It integrates multiple data sources effortlessly into a centralized system, improving data consistency and scalability.

Streamlines Data Analysis, Overwhelming UI

  • March 12, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I found IBM watsonx.data integration helpful when using DB2 because I could query data where it exists without having to move or copy it. I also liked how I didn't have to jump between different apps to find a piece of data; I could just locate it within IBM watsonx.data integration and look into tables.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes overwhelming with a cluttered UI and so many features in one place. The infrastructure manager and the query workspace are especially overwhelming. Personalization or customization could make navigation easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IBM watsonx.data integration helped me solve issues with data analysis projects and allowed me to query data in DB2 without moving or copying it. I liked not having to switch apps to find data, as everything was accessible within IBM watsonx.data.
