Wonderful Tool To Help Refine Your Writing
What do you like best about the product?
I use Grammarly in both my personal and professional work.
Grammarly helped me during the editing stages of a book I wrote for my son about a year ago. I'm using it again for a second book I'm writing for his birthday this year.
I also like to leave online reviews for products I buy. I always run my content through Grammarly to ensure I have the most coherent, accurate version before submitting.
I like that you can choose the style and tone that you want for your writing. Plus, if you need to adhere to specific guidelines like APA or MLA, you can have Grammarly ensure you stay on course.
Grammarly will give you suggestions on how to improve your writing, but you don't have to take every suggestion. That's a nice feature because only I know exactly how I want my writing to come across.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the suggestions that Grammarly offers aren't always better. I will use a specific word because it fits the tone of what I'm trying to describe in my writing, but Grammarly will suggest an alternative that doesn't always match the dynamic I'm going for.
One of the main things I dislike about Grammarly is its newer format. I almost always use the "classic doc" feature when writing because it feels more user-friendly to me.

When I post a review online or write a journal entry for my son, I want it to be grammatically correct. While I try my best to achieve perfection on my own, it's nice to have a tool I can go to to check my work. Grammarly is best used as just that: a tool to utilize, not something to make you sound like a better writer than you actually are.

The tone detection and plagiarism checker are significant advantages—it reliably prevents embarrassing mistakes and makes my writing process much faster.

The free version offers only basic features, and I find that the premium suggestions are sometimes too cautious or miss the mark, particularly when I'm working on creative or technical writing. The weekly emails and stats can come across as a bit pushy. Additionally, the software occasionally causes slowdowns when handling large documents or web forms.

I find Grammarly really helpful for fixing grammatical errors and rephrasing. When I send emails to customers, it helps me set my tone, fix errors, and rephrase efficiently. I love that it integrates easily, and I don't have to execute many clicks or keystrokes. I also enjoy the more keyboard shortcuts available, as well as the consistency when using these shortcuts. The initial setup was easy and straightforward.

Sometimes, the extension takes some time to load or it needs a refresh.

I love the integration into our OS and iOS devices making it easy to incorporate no matter where we are working from.

I think the lack of a native app. Having to log in online instead of a native app for iOS devices.

We write content daily, and having a reliable output assistant is very helpful. Also, the tone tools are excellent for consistency. Other than that, the Writing Assistance is helpful with day-to-day business emailing.
