What do you like best about the product?
I find Fingerprint easy to use, especially when navigating the UI. I like the charts and the accuracy of its signals. The signals help me build strong rules to block bad customers without impacting good customers, and Fingerprint helps me collect and understand data about my users so I can prevent fraudulent users from abusing my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I occasionally see an inconsistent signal or error.

What do you like best about the product?
Fingerprint provides a very detailed device fingerprinting response.
After looking at a ton of providers, we’ve found that we usually get the most value from raw data. With Fingerprint, we also get superb machine-learning-derived scores, and they work great for us.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, we haven’t had any bad experiences with Fingerprint so far. That said, we might be missing some specific markers that would help us dig deeper into particular fingerprinting features, like WebGL, web fonts, sounds, and similar signals.
It might be specific to our front-end but the integration was a bit time-consuming, although supported all the way using the documentation.
The consumer-facing UI is super simple and useful at moments, although, beware it takes a bit more getting used to than your typical plug-and-play SAAS.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fingerprint offers very friendly pricing, which means we can integrate it into more touchpoints across the customer journey without racking up excessive spend. That’s mission-critical for, first, protecting customers against ATOs, and also for validating the decisions we make during initial registrations—where the most in-depth fingerprinting typically happens in many decision flows.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and the quality of detection stand out. Since implementation, our fraud prevention detection has improved significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
For our company’s use, there are some features that aren’t relevant to us, yet they’re still included in the price. It would be helpful if you could look into tailoring the product more specifically for each industry, so customers aren’t paying for functionality they don’t need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementation, we weren’t relying on such detailed network data. After implementation, we gained much more insight into what’s going on with our product. Since then, our fraud detection has improved significantly, and we’re saving a big chunk of cash because fraud is being discovered and detected.

Powerful Device-Level Identification That Stops Repeat Signups

What do you like best about the product?
Fingerprint gives us a device-level identifier we can't get from IP or email alone. We run it at signup and domain verification and feed the visitor ID and risk signals into our automated blocking rules. It's how we catch bad actors who get blocked and come straight back with a new free account which is a massive help to our team. The signals are also useful for manual investigations if we need them.
What do you dislike about the product?
On the pro plan we have sometimes had rate limit issues during spikes. We're aware this is resolved with enterprise but we aren't ready to move to enterprise just yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We run an email API with a free tier, so spammers often create multiple accounts, rotate cards and re-register after being blocked. Fingerprint lets us link devices across accounts and block at signup before any email is sent. That cuts manual review for a small trust and safety team and protects deliverability for legitimate customers.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Fingerprint for its ease of use and accuracy, which are important for my work in identification of participations in the Evolu platform. The dashboard UI is very nice, making it a pleasant experience to navigate through the features. The initial setup was very easy, which was a big plus for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the paid plan for Fingerprint could use some improvement. The limit before having to transition to a paid use should be bigger, especially for web. It would be helpful to have a more generous number of identifications included in the plan.

Fingerprint helps with bot detection, device detection, and fraud prevention, all while being easy to use and accurate.

What do you like best about the product?
The accuracy of visitor identification is unmatched. Even when users switch to incognito mode, use VPNs, or clear their cookies/browser storage, Fingerprint consistently recognizes returning users with high accuracy. The 99.5%+ identification stability makes a massive difference for our platform security.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can scale up quickly, especially during traffic spikes or bot attacks. Because you pay per API request, high volumes of garbage traffic or malicious attempts can drive up operational costs, effectively forcing you to pay to identify traffic you ultimately want to discard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fingerprint solves the problem of bad actors trying to hide behind VPNs, incognito mode, or cleared cookies to bypass security. It lets us spot bots, trial abuse, and account takeovers in real time without throwing annoying CAPTCHAs or friction in front of legitimate users.

What do you like best about the product?
It has helped us catch malicious actors and duplicate accounts. It is doing a lot of complex work behind the scenes, but it was simple to set up on our end with AI-assisted development.
The scoring process is very thorough though it becomes a bit obscure and hard to follow for a single individual handling all other tech responsibilities.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not clear to me how to operate separate environments (e.g. prod vs. sandbox). At least it was not on first implementation.
The price also grows very quickly with traffic and with increased boting this can be a problem in future. The UX/UI has not been easy to navigate for non-technical members.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Help catch malicious actors and repeat offenders that we have blocked based on fingerprint. Also, helps risk score certain users that are taking advantage of temporary emails and other methods to obscure their identity. Fingerprint is a key part of our member safety flow

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Fingerprint works without any issues and provides us with the necessary value for user identification. Its dashboard offers valuable information to review various things and they are clear in communicating the changes we need to make.
What do you dislike about the product?
The integration with Fingerprint was a challenge because we use Terraform while they use CloudFormation. We cannot manage two different systems to handle architecture as code, so we had to do a practically manual integration. Although generally, it doesn't need to be touched afterward, if the integration were as simple as a click with CloudFormation, but for Terraform, it would be great. Additionally, integrating Fingerprint within the company required a lot of engineering time, which made it complicated at the beginning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fingerprint helps us identify device patterns and correlate fraud cases, adding security to our service. It allows us to evaluate risk signals and detect anomalous behaviors, which significantly improves our user identification and fraud protection.
