What do you like best about the product?
I like how Bloomreach connects data with real action, making it more than just a place to store customer information. The level of personalization is impressive, allowing us to tailor content, product recommendations, and campaigns based on real customer behavior, making interactions feel more relevant. I really value the automation and flexibility; once journeys and triggers are set up, they run reliably in the background, saving manual effort. I also appreciate having a single, unified view of the customer, which makes decision-making faster and more confident. Overall, Bloomreach feels like a platform that scales with our needs; the more we use it, the more value we extract from it.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Bloomreach delivers a lot of value, there are a few areas where it could be better. One challenge is the learning curve. The platform is powerful, but that also means it can feel complex at first. New users need time and proper onboarding to become comfortable, especially with advanced features like journey orchestration and data modeling. The interface can sometimes feel busy, particularly when working across multiple modules. Certain workflows require several steps, and some actions aren’t always as intuitive as they could be, which can slow things down for day-to-day users. Reporting and analytics are useful, but there’s room for improvement. Creating custom reports or getting very specific insights sometimes takes extra configuration, and it would be helpful if more ready-to-use dashboards were available. Lastly, documentation and examples could be more detailed. While support is responsive, having clearer guides and real-world use cases would make it easier for teams to fully adopt and maximize the platform on their own.

It improves on-site search and product discovery, cutting manual effort and increasing engagement. The automation and a unified customer view enhance decision-making and efficiency, shifting from generic to data-driven interactions.
Great Support and Intuitive Email Builder, But Reporting Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Access to real time customer support. The email builder is also easy and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Weblayers could be easier to build (like the visual builder for email) and reporting definitely takes a while to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using segmentation we are able to better target and personalise our communications and content which is seeing uplifts in engagement from where we were before.

Costly Surprises Overcame Solid Personalization
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Bloomreach offers dynamic recommendations based on the user, utilizing different algorithms. It's pretty okay for personalization, recommending products based on the data you provide.
What do you dislike about the product?
From a usability standpoint, it's very technical, and you will need to hire a technical consultant from Bloomreach to develop the scenarios, which is an extra cost. Initially, during negotiations, they will underestimate the number of processed events you actually need to lure you in with a lower investment. Once you are signed up, they will insist you are far below the processed events you require. They even pushed us to upgrade six tiers above our initial quote. Another big extra cost.

In general, the main advantages are enhanced customer relevance, quicker campaign execution without the need for extensive developer involvement, and data-driven decision-making that leads to better engagement and higher conversion rates.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find challenging about Bloomreach is the steep learning curve, particularly for teams that are new to digital experience platforms. One of the less helpful aspects is that some of the more advanced features demand significant configuration or assistance from users with more experience, which can delay progress. In general, the primary drawbacks are the considerable time and resources required at the outset to make full use of all its capabilities, as well as the occasional complexity involved in managing certain integrations or customizations.

Bloomreach addresses challenges related to customer relevance, engagement, and conversion by supporting personalization, enhancing product discovery, and enabling data-driven optimization. What I like best about Bloomreach is how intuitive and easy it is to work with, especially considering how powerful the platform is. We are still relatively new to Bloomreach at Mester Grønn, but so far it already covers all of our core use cases within CRM, campaigns, and customer activation.
The user interface makes it easy to move quickly from insight to action, without unnecessary complexity. At the same time, the flexibility and possibilities in the platform give us room to scale and mature our setup over time.

As we are still fairly new to Bloomreach, there is not much we actively dislike so far. That said, the event-based model is still relatively new to us and has a learning curve, especially when it comes to fully understanding and structuring events in a scalable way.
In addition, estimating and planning around event usage can be somewhat challenging from a cost perspective early on, before we have enough experience and historical data. This is something we expect will become clearer as we gain more hands-on experience with the platform over time.

I like Bloomreach's fast data imports and its ability to provide a holistic overview of a customer. I also appreciate the good recommendations for what customers will buy. The platform helps us with customer conversion by allowing us to better understand and target customer needs, which offers great insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their documentation leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the guides are vague or do not actually explain how to best structure data for best results. A clearer guide about what fields would be most beneficial to populate, and with what values is needed. Examples on how to import different data types like Booleans would be helpful. The strong recommendation to have two catalogs was not in the documentation.

I use Bloomreach for tracking customer site usage, email open rates, and recommending products in emails. It provides a holistic overview of customers and offers great insights, enhancing our ability to understand and target customers effectively for better conversion rates.
Empowers Targeted Marketing, But Requires Technical Know-How
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Bloomreach makes it easier to create segments and target the right customers at the right times. It's also great that there is almost nothing you can't do with Bloomreach as it combines content management, flow organizing, and data analysis all in one. We can create intelligent flows that cater to our target groups, analyze data, and tweak and adjust for the best results. I also find it helpful to use the integration to connect with Facebook for retargeting campaigns that target the right customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's no doubt that it's very technical and you need to take their courses to understand the setup. So I would say that you have to make an effort to understand the logic behind the site and setup.
