What do you like best about the product?

Synthesia has drastically changed the way we create learning content, the feature PDF to video is so handy and makes the process very easy to use. It also gives full control over the content and the learner experience.

What do you dislike about the product?

The new credit based feature use has limited a few options for us, that's something we are trying to negotiate, apart from that I'd like a bit more control on the pace of the video.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

For us, Synthesia has made it possible to create professional, engaging training in house with a very small team. It also gives us full control over the content, making it easier to refine, update, and modify whenever needed.

What do you like best about the product?

I like the interactive, intuitive avatar and the straightforward way to create videos, whether by using prompts or importing PowerPoints integration, several AI tools helps us to make videos easily. My organization uses Synthesia for most of our use cases, especially for presentations and how-to videos. The support agent is intelligent enough to give related links regarding any issue.

What do you dislike about the product?

Limitations in Personal avatar sharing across workspace & self-contained video export for LMS.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I struggled to integrate SCORM into the LMS. It was pulling the video from Synthesia, which ended up being challenging for viewers.

What do you like best about the product?

The UI is user-friendly and easy to navigate. Video creation is consistently quick and reliable, no matter how big the ask is.

What do you dislike about the product?

I had to play around with the pronunciation at first, but it does get easier over time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Video production time is so much quicker.

What do you like best about the product?

I use Synthesia to develop training videos and materials more efficiently and quickly, with little effort. Our training team can create the videos on its own without needing resources from teams like graphic design or voiceover artists. I like that Synthesia consistently adds features and listens to customer feedback. Our videos have become more realistic and look very professional. The added features let us rely more on Synthesia and cut some of our other subscriptions. Setup was very easy through the website, and Synthesia’s wealth of resources helped me get up and running quickly. I’m very happy with Synthesia.

What do you dislike about the product?

Since we upload all of our SYnthesia video's into the LMS for internal tracking, some functionality does not work consistently if we are not linking straight from the website.

I use Synthesia to develop training products more efficiently and quickly with low effort. Our training team can create videos on its own without needing resources from graphic designers, voiceover artists, or other teams.

What do you like best about the product?

The best thing about Synthesia is how quickly it helps us turn ideas into professional, engaging video content. As an e-learning developer, I’ve used it for onboarding, safety training, benefits communications, and multilingual learning experiences—without the time and expense that usually come with traditional video production.

I also appreciate how easy it is to update videos when processes change, create content in multiple languages, and maintain a consistent presenter experience across different projects. Overall, it’s helped us deliver training and communications to a mobile-first workforce more efficiently, while also improving the learner experience.

What do you dislike about the product?

My biggest wish is for more advanced image-editing capabilities within the platform. I often have to rely on Photoshop or other design tools to tweak images before importing them into Synthesia. If Synthesia offered more built-in editing options, it would streamline my workflow and make content creation even faster and more efficient.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Synthesia helps us bridge the gap between the information employees need and the time and resources traditionally required to produce high-quality video content. With it, we can quickly create onboarding, safety, and benefits communications that are engaging, accessible to a diverse workforce, and simple to update as things change. As a result, we develop content faster, see stronger learner engagement, and can deliver important information more consistently across the organization.

What do you like best about the product?

I really like the time savings Synthesia offers me, which is a big help when creating videos or teaching materials. I appreciate the ability to express my creativity with the various tools available and the new ones being added. I also enjoy how I can edit elements as I would in PowerPoint or other art programs, making it fully customizable from every angle.

What do you dislike about the product?

When I use the chat field, it doesn't always complete the task that it says it completed. I felt like we kind of went into it blind without much help during the initial setup.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how user-friendly and intuitive the Synthesia interface is. It's great that I don't have to leave the platform to get assets like video clips, music, or images, which makes my work so much smoother. I appreciate the pre-made templates too; they help speed up course development by letting me plug in information and make quick adjustments. The AI avatar feature is a big win for me, especially as the avatars get less robotic and now even use hand gestures that match the context. Synthesia's animations have also improved, adding another layer of ease to video creation without needing external apps unlike before. The audio clip generation is valuable, as it lets me use my voice or script with AI-generated voices, saving me tons of time. Plus, I can create, embed, and download videos seamlessly. This platform definitely makes my role as an instructional designer and marketing support easier and faster.

What do you dislike about the product?

When it comes to studio-quality video editing, Synthesia isn't quite on par with tools like the Adobe Creative Suite. For in-depth editing features, I still find Adobe tools superior. Synthesia can be a bit limited if a project needs studio-caliber production, although it's a good alternative for quicker turnarounds and less complex projects.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Synthesia to speed up course development, consolidating asset creation within one platform. It eliminates dependency on others' schedules by generating realistic avatars and voices, making video production faster and more efficient for training and marketing content.

What do you like best about the product?

I think Synthesia is great because their speed of evolution and innovation is amazing. They release new content and functionality so frequently that we can hardly keep up. I really find the platform super user-friendly, making it easy for anyone who's made a slide deck to get into video creation. We're especially thankful for the localization tools that made it transformative for our training and certification organization. I also love how Synthesia allows us to maintain and create more evergreen content quickly. Setting up Synthesia was very easy, with only the branding and templates requiring some decision-making. And yeah, I can't forget that they are fantastic business partners for us.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think one of the challenges that we've had is with reporting. They have really robust reporting on each video, but if I want to get an overview of a series of videos or our entire library, I have to get data exports personally from my customer success manager and then do the analysis on my side. So, I think they know that and we've been asking for either API functionality to bring it into our dashboards or just have a more comprehensive dashboard.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Synthesia lets us create professional content 75% faster than traditional methods, involving content experts in scripting and creation. It helps maintain evergreen content quickly, and the platform's localization tools make video content transformative for our training and certification org.

What do you like best about the product?

I like the polished and professional look I can create. Yes I do use a combination of tools to get to the finished product, Synthesia is the final product to get that polished look. I especially like the motion graphics created based on my content.

What do you dislike about the product?

The requirement to have an enterprise license to publish and be able to use all of the interactivity. Our enterprise has to publish to MP4s and publish to a Kaltura video site which decreases the amount of hotspots and interactivity I can build into each video.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Making our messaging clear and easy to digest for a very broad audience. This tool is allowing us to scale and repeat messages we'd otherwise have to be in meetings for. Our tools are complex and the vendor's videos are too long and don't use relevant examples and the speaker is normally very hard to understand. This allows me to use relevant data and images.

What do you like best about the product?

I like the simplicity in getting started with Synthesia. It was possible to simply jump right in and begin creating my first video, without receiving any type of training. Creating scenes (whether new or based on a template), editing them, adding a script, and previewing them (including with narration) is quite intuitive. It's actually simpler than creating a PowerPoint slide, with a more interactive and engaging deliverable.

Their AI avatar features are also quite impressive, especially when it comes to selecting and editing an avatar to match the tone, guidelines, and needs of a client brand.

Additionally, customer support is also top notch. They're very kind, patient, and do not stop until your challenge is resolved.

Finally, the ROI in terms of hours saved is unparalleled. As a designer for over 15 years (including video design), the ease of use and quality of work that can be generated in a short period of time allow me to focus more on video strategy and objectives, rather than on the mechanics of designing videos.

What do you dislike about the product?

New features can sometimes take a moment to figure out. An example is saving avatars for future use, or determining how to create specific animations within a scene.

Generating the final video is an extremely simple process to initiate, however generation times for the final video can sometimes be (not always) a bit laggy. The final video itself has always been perfect in terms of resolution and performance, though.

Pricing can feel a bit high if you're using Synthesia sparingly or want to access some of the higher tier features (e.g., adding interactive quizzes to your final video). However, if you or your team are creating videos regularly or in high volume, Synthesia would be a great tool (with a low barrier to entry) to add to your stack to quickly onboard active designers and non-technical users alike.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Synthesia allows me to quickly create relevant, impactful videos for a wide range of needs - tutorials and trainings, courses, introductory videos, presentations, analysis, plus, solution videos.

Rather than focusing on designing every element of a video myself, I've been able to create a video creation framework that takes me from concept to complete video in sometimes less than an hour.
