SingleStore is a great solution to help build data-intensive, cloud-based applications.
What do you like best about the product?
My experience was good. The concept of a super-fast, cloud-native ACID database is of course very attractive, and I think the implementation is adequate for the most part.
The innovations brought to the table with SingleStore's Codegen Architecture and Universal Storage. I experimented with the sample databases provided, and the queries were indeed very fast and responsive, even when I deliberately made then very awkard and convoluted. Setting up the AWS cluster was also very easy and straight-forward. The support team was also cordial and helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
My main concern is with the documentation and user experience. The docs and articles are a bit outdated and the examples provided do not work as intended. For example, the process to set up a data pipeline described here (https://developers.singlestore.com/blog/how-to-load-100-billion-rows-of-data-ultrafast/?utm_source=upwork&utm_medium=psm&utm_campaign=7014x000002ltsdqak&utm_content=fastapps) does not work. Besides, many pages still refer to SingleStore as MemSQL.
I also found it a bit hard to locate the access point for SingleStore Studio.
Query errors could be more explicit. When I input an invalid query, the error message is some variant of (ERROR 1064 ER_PARSE_ERROR: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near), which is a bit cryptic and not very helpful.
If I could, I'd allow more SQL flavours to be used, as not everyone is familiar with MySQL's peculiarities. I also would open source as many key database developments as possible, to make new discoveries more accesible to the world.

The need for SingleStore DB system arises whenever you would need a way to quickly setup and manage a huge database (more than 1B rows). I think the product correctly combines the advantages of ACID guarantees with cloud-based scalability
I'd definetly consider using SingleStore if I had to build a data-intensive web application.
Running things on the cloud can be a little tricky and expenses can pile up if you're not careful. However, doing it correctly will get rid of a lot of headaches in SWE and make your product better for developers and consumers.

A high performance tool
What do you like best about the product?
The load performance! I have used other tools in my projects and the delay that was caused due to the data load had a huge impact on the data migration and the project itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some documentation (videos_ are not up to date, there are still references to the former tool MemSQL which may confuse, but this is compensated with the great customer service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data migrations in general, we can use this tool as the end solution or as a middle stage in the ETL. Since the data can be loaded fast, it helps us to find data issues quicker

SingleStore's success is based on the widespread adoption of HTAP, which does not have a large following at this time.

Overall I had swift experience with the platform, starting from configuration to data ingestion, which was so straightforward with minimal efforts for the entire operation and that scaled up so fast.
The real-time process for the nodes was really helped in the estimation n required instances for computing the huge data
I believe the most amazing thing is it does not require high technical expertise to work with the SingleStore platform it does all complex tasks for us.

So far I don't have a dislikeable point, but one thing that can be improved upon on Data Visualization for estimation, computing cost, forecasting, etc.
Also Nice to have a BI product or integration in the same manner, simple, and created in a few clicks, imagine that real-time analytics for common business problems, etc

To solve ad-hock business requirements to process huge data for analysis and decision making and a SingleStore makes life easy, with its platform to handle such a task, it is also easy and fast to configure, and spin up at any scale

I am used to "create new" buttons but in some processes, i couldn't find.

I uploaded 1M rows to test rates. It is really fast and run some select queries. deployment is easy and also fast.

The user experience is great. everything is 100% clear and well guided.

great for the customers who are looking for cloud managed services that gives great user experience and amazing performance over data and are suitable for any domain (telco, banking, health etc..) including data analytics.

What do you like best about the product?
SingleStore is a really awesome and fast technology. Its fast-loading and fast data retrieval won my heart.
It supports multiple sources just like CSV, JSON, and so on.

As a new user, it was a bit difficult to understand, but it became more and more logical over time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The basic problem of data loading was solved by SingleStore service. Raw Data loading takes a lot of time after which I need to transform the loaded data. SingleStore made my job easier, what I used to do in a day, now I can do it in a few minutes
Efficient and Scalable Data Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I quite like the seemless integration with AWS. In just a couple of commands, I was able to pull in data from S3 into SQL and create a pipeline. The scalable parallel ingestion and live de-dupe mechanism is quite awesome.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess it would be pricing. I used S-16 cluster and exhausted $500 credit after finishing with 1billion rows load. But I think price vs performance compromise would exist in every solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making real-time transactional data available for analytics without any lag. Improving data ingestion pipeline for large amount of data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a scalable business or expect your business to have lots of data in the near future, it would be a very good idea to explore SingleStore's solution. As name suggests, its a single store database providing a consolidated solution for all the data at a super-fast speed.

Loads a billion rows a minute!
What do you like best about the product?
Calculating analytics on ever-larger datasets has been slowing us down and making us look outside SQL Server for answers. Options on AWS require massive re-engineering efforts. This solution seems very promising with it's lightning fast table loads and query execution times
What do you dislike about the product?
Has a learning curve like any other product. Query tool is quite basic and at least on the surface lacked ability to script out tables, administration etc. Some guidance on choosing the correct cluster instance size might also help?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Calculate analytics as fast as possible... on data increasing by a TB every year...using SQL so we don't have to undertake a massive re-engineering effort. We have been looking into multiple options, this one looks promising.
