Streamlined Multi-Site Management with Collaborative Power
What do you like best about the product?
I like managing multi-site content from a single CMS dashboard with Brightspot. I appreciate the automation of manual content approval with approval chains and notifications. I also value the strong collaboration feature that lets multiple team members work on content together. Plus, the initial setup was fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Brightspot could improve by adding more built-in templates for faster website and page creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Brightspot to manage multi-site content from a single CMS dashboard. It solves manual content approval with automated approval chains and notifications.
User-Friendly Platform for Centralized Content Management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the user-friendly content editing interface in Brightspot, which makes it easier for writers and editors to publish content quickly. Additionally, the initial setup of Brightspot was smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the user interface could be simplified to make it easier for non-technical content creators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot centralizes all website content, solving disorganized content storage. Its user-friendly interface allows writers and editors to publish content quickly.
Brightspot’s DAM and Drag-and-Drop Builder Make Publishing a Breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, I think the DAM (digital asset management) is what brings me back to use Brightspot - searching for images, editing their metadata, dropping them into a page without having to open 4 windows/tab is just useful, period. The drag-and-drop page-building is also solid once your developers have set up the components, then non-tech folks can build landing pages without bothering anyone else. It's noisy at the coffee shop today and I was still able to publish 3 pages without going crazy. Managing multiple regional sites in one place used to be a complete nightmare and Brightspot at least makes it NOT THAT BAD.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to create ANYTHING even remotely outside the template options, you're basically just stuck waiting on a developer, which is frustrating when it's something relatively small. When lots of users are working at the same time, the Authoring Interface becomes unresponsive/laggy and that's a pet peeve of mine I'll take to my grave.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously had different teams using different tools and NOTHING MATCHED - our brand was consistently represented differently everywhere, assets were stored in 5 different places, and getting a single piece of content published was always a long process. For teams managing content across many countries and/or languages, it actually scales well, which not all solutions do.
Good and reliable platform for coordinated campaign rollouts
What do you like best about the product?
I find the stability of Radware Cloud WAF in our business as the best aspect of it. I make use of it on a daily basis, particularly when there is a promotion push on, and the amount of features dedicated to preventing automated abuse shows. The implementation was arranged and customer support remained engaged when all was ventured right. Due to that, I do not need to worry as much that sudden rise in traffic will negatively affect conversions.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the negative experiences I have had with Brightspot is that some of its configurations are reliant on the technical resources. It meant implementation time on the part of developers that was not thoroughly planned. As powerful as it is, it is limiting to make rapid structural modifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot addresses our problem of ensuring stringent brand and legal protection of high volumes of digital content. The messaging risks were caused by non-uniform approvals before adopting it. I have now been using it often to impose ordered reviewing procedures and documented publishing procedures. The amount of features that can assist in governance enhances our compliance posture. The customer care also provides suggestions on changes in policy, and this is useful in marketing and legal departments.
We can finally effectively manage content across multiple channels
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature of Brightspot is that the content creation process is well organized and collaborative. My job is in the digital publishing and I am able to delegate tasks to writers, control the media items and track the article development under one roof with the amount of features. Due to the level of usage, it has become a part of our everyday routine. I also like the ease with which version history allows me to compare the changes, review and undo them when necessary.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the challenges that I observed is that page structure customizing consumes more time. It has numerous features that are handy but could be confusing to new contributors, and they make unpleasant minor errors on some occasions. These minor inconveniences can be observed because the platform is being used at any time of the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot helps to address the issue of unstructured content flows. We had been using spreadsheets and email to track assignments and media before using it, and even created deadlines and duplicated work because of the method. Today, articles, pictures and videos are put in their place, monitored, and officially published every day and on a systematic basis. It has enhanced the process of coordination between editors and writers, minimized error and enabled my team to concentrate on quality content production as opposed to being involved in administrative duties.
Brightspot is great for brand consistency and approval processes
What do you like best about the product?
The thing that I like most about Brightspots is that there is a powerful governance of content roles and approval chains. As Digital Content Director in e-commerce, the frequency of use is high, since the updates should be reviewed and approved every day. The fact that it has many features to support the multi-step approvals and scheduled publishing assists us to uphold brand standards in both web and mobile. This implementation involved the need to liaise with our internal stakeholders, and it produced clarity in accountability during marketing and product departments on accountability once in action.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my problems with Brightspot is that I am dependent on development teams when it comes to some structural changes. The implementation helped to cover our key objectives, and additional cooperation was needed to change its main aspects. These limitations affect my day-to-day planning since I use it most of the time. Despite the fact that the features are many, a few backend activities require technical skills, which puts strain during peak marketing times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of uneven standards of publishing between marketing, editorial and product teams is resolved by Brightspot. Prior to its use, there was version confusion and overlapping edits which led to errors. Our teams have well defined approval channels after an organized implementation and consistent frequency of usage. The variety of features devoted to version control and release plans minimizes the repetitive work and enhances the traditions of inner discipline, the ability to work on the strategic development rather than to eliminate some avoidable errors.
Customizable, Efficient, Yet Imperfect for Unique Needs
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how Brightspot is responsive and works well for users. As an administrator, I appreciate the self-service nature of most of the customization tools. I can edit workflows, user types, document UI elements, and dashboards without needing any developer inputs, which allows us to evolve our working practices easily without time or cost constraints. It's particularly valuable that we can adjust these things on the fly. The ability to review and change document fields is really valuable for driving continuous improvement and efficiency for users. I find it super easy to introduce new user types, like when we needed a new persona to both author and review content. The initial setup was excellent, and I've found Brightspot to be among the best and most engaged external development organizations I've worked with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a few frustrations with Brightspot, mostly due to our unique setup. Our external DAM integration isn't as smooth as it could be, but that's partly because we chose an outside tool instead of Brightspot's DAM. Users often accidentally click the edit button for collections, causing collapses or corruption of folders, which stops work until an admin fixes it. This happens about once a week and affects everyone until resolved. The revisions tool can be unreliable, with mixed-up or abandoned revisions occurring frequently. There are also some quirks with our custom Maps and Topics that get frustrating, but I think that's down to our specific configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot allows users to quickly find, create, and update documents collaboratively. It supports our legacy publishing while enabling permissions-based workflows. Customization tools let us adjust workflows, document views, and user roles without developer input, enhancing user efficiency and supporting our evolving business needs.
Very flexible and adaptable
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of features available for administrators to control what users can see, along with flexible UI forms and permission settings. The platform is also highly adaptable for developers, making it easy to implement and extend feature sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance can occasionally be problematic, and there are times when SOLR issues arise unexpectedly. Additionally, users have mentioned that completing simple tasks often requires too many clicks, which can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Headless CMS for NPR and flexible for less tech savvy station users.
Brightspot is a powerful CMS
What do you like best about the product?
I love how straight forward it is to build models in Brightspot and how those models connect to the database making it much easier to implement what is needed for our websites. The Brightspot people who work with us are super knowledgable and helpful when I have questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current UI feels a little clunky and confusing when you are new to Brightspot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brightspot is making it a lot easier to build a complete end-to-end system all the way from storing data to rendering a webpage or mobile app.
Dynamic and Informative
What do you like best about the product?
Brightspot is a great CMS tool for the Economist Intelligence Unit. Our prior content management system had so many limitations that the BSP CMS is incredibly refreshing and allows so much more leniency. It's allowed our analysts a lot more freedom to create articles while at the same time offering easy features. This has helped our analysts and subedit team to process and publish so much quicker but still quite efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm on the Operations side of the house and am an Admin on the tool. I've sometimes found it a bit difficult to create and set limited roles. Other than that, the tool is great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of content creation, collaboration and publishing for our analysts.
