Anypoint Exchange: Prebuilt Connectors That Speed Up Integrations

  • April 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Anypoint Exchange is a game changer — having thousands of pre built connectors and templates means we can integrate new systems in days rather than months saving enormous amounts of development time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing cost is a significant barrier — MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is one of the priciest integration solutions on the market and the total cost of ownership including infrastructure and skilled resources can be very hard to justify for smaller organizations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New integrations that previously took months to build now take days or weeks — the pre built connectors in Anypoint Exchange and reusable API templates dramatically accelerated our development timelines and reduced costs

Clean End-to-End Platform with a Strong Three-Layer API Architecture

  • April 17, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It gives me an end-to-end platform in one place, along with a clean three-layer architecture using system, process, and experience APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be very expensive, depending on the size of your organization. It can also be difficult to learn, and training new employees to use it can be time-consuming and costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s helping me integrate from one system into another, and it’s making the whole process more efficient.

Efficient in Governance and Organization of APIs

  • April 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the structured way of cataloging and discovering APIs in the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This helps to have visibility of existing APIs and allows the creation of new flows quickly, without having to rely on an API management team to tell if there is already an API I need or that needs to be built. Furthermore, I find the initial setup process of the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
The DataWeave language and the use of Java, I would like to have other options for building APIs and flows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to address the lack of governance and control in APIs, improving visibility and facilitating the rapid creation of new flows without service duplication.

Flexible Platform for API Integrations

  • April 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of making integrations with very little use of code and also the flexibility that the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform has to use code to develop custom connectors. It was simple overall, and I learned very quickly how to do the configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
that the content and training for the general community could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to facilitate my API integrations and centralize the governance of integrations in a single platform. I like the simplicity in integrations with little code usage and the flexibility to develop custom connectors.

Well-Structured Integration with Minor Startup Lag

  • April 16, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find MuleSoft Anypoint Platform well structured and secure. The Application Manager, Marketplace, and URL Tester are particularly valuable for me, as without them I would not be able to connect the system effectively or efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Just starting the service takes a little bit long. It's about forty-five seconds, and the log comes a little bit behind.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to connect my Salesforce with other applications like SFTP servers and Google Active Directory, preventing silos in communication.

Streamlined API Management with Minor Resource Hiccups

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is easy to deploy, monitor, and govern. I find it valuable that we can apply a uniform set of policies to all APIs without having to code them or discover them every single time. This convenience makes the platform really effective for managing our API operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Batch processing of large datasets consumes a lot of resources and isn't really efficient. Also, on the AI front, new products are getting launched but there's not enough documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MuleSoft Anypoint Platform solves issues with real-time integration, reliability, and latency. It offers easy deployment, monitoring, and governance. I can uniformly apply policies to all APIs without coding or rediscovering them each time.

The Enterprise Heavyweight: Power at a Premium

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MuleSoft is a high recommendation for enterprise-scale needs, but a cautious one for smaller projects.
The Verdict
• Recommend if: You are working at an enterprise level, need to manage a massive API lifecycle, or require deep, high-performance integration with Salesforce.
• Avoid if: You have a limited budget, a small team, or only need simple point-to-point automations.
The Trade-off
You're trading simplicity and cost for unmatched power and scalability. It’s the "gold standard," but only if you have the infrastructure and expertise to fuel it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Main Drawbacks
• Prohibitive Cost: The "vCore" pricing model makes scaling expensive, especially for sandboxes and non-production environments.
• Specialized Talent: You need developers who know DataWeave and Mule-specific architecture; you can't just plug in a generalist coder.
• Resource Heavy: The runtime has high memory overhead, making it "overkill" and sluggish for simple, lightweight tasks.
• Clunky IDE: Anypoint Studio (Eclipse-based) is notoriously slow and memory-hungry compared to modern editors like VS Code.
• Vendor Lock-in: The proprietary nature of the configurations makes it very difficult to migrate away once you've committed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Silos: Eliminates "spaghetti code" by creating a central hub for disconnected systems (Salesforce, SAP, AWS).
• Fragility: Replaces brittle, point-to-point connections with modular, reusable APIs that don't break during system updates.
• Security Chaos: Provides one "control plane" to manage access and compliance across all integrations.
How It Benefits You (Salesforce Focus)
• Speed: Pre-built connectors allow you to link systems to Salesforce in clicks, not months of coding.
• Cleaner Orgs: Keeps your Salesforce instance "lean" by moving complex integration logic out of Apex and into MuleSoft.
• Reliability: Ensures the data you see in Salesforce is a real-time, accurate "single source of truth" from across the enterprise.

Efficient and Easy-to-Use Platform, but with Implementation Challenges

  • April 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that MuleSoft Anypoint Platform is easy to implement and use. I find it valuable that it can practically connect with any information source, as long as the correct key codes are identified.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the initial setup, it is necessary to have prior knowledge. It was necessary to contact an external provider who had the knowledge to implement it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to connect different platforms and homogenize information from various sources, which reduces time and errors.
