What do you like best about the product?

Good feature set across most IDAM capability/problem-spaces. Powerful and flexible to meet most configuration setups. Multiple integration options. Saviynt is approachable and offers good support and comprehensive documentation, good community of users.

What do you dislike about the product?

Saviynt require you go via an implementation partner rather than working directly with them, which can create a triangle of blame-shifting and obfuscation. Closed source and SaaS, so difficult to self-manage if you're used to an on-premise mentality. Configuration and UI is clunky via e.g. pasting blocks of JSON into tiny text areas on lengthy web forms. Writing your own automated tests against your own environment configuration is not supported, due to the "no-code" approach. The accessibility of web interfaces is generally below industry standards. No low-level access as with most SaaS products, and you can't delete data or configuration yourself you must raise a ticket which can take time to process. This makes experimentation difficult. Saviynt have gone all-in on AI, as a response to the general use of AI across the industry, but also as a shortcut method of making their system (which is naturally complex due to the problem it is trying to solve) "easier" to configure, which may be to the detriment of working to just making their core product easier to use/understand. The SC2 client hides manual networking allow-list config in AWS which must be configured by Saviynt support and is hidden to the end users, which can make initial setup frustrating.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Moving away from legacy IDAM platform, making configuration more accessible to wider parts of the organisation, allowing more modern IDAM capabilities to be brought into use

Intuitive gui and the way forward with its ai functionality / Zuma offerings look solid

The audit history isn’t quite as good as sailpoint

What do you like best about the product?

What I like best about Saviynt is its ability to bring identity governance, lifecycle management and access controls together in a single platform. From our experience, it provides a strong foundation for automating joiner, mover and leaver processes, improving visibility of access across the organisation, and supporting a more robust approach to governance and compliance.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area where I believe Saviynt could continue to evolve is support for organisations with complex identity relationships, such as universities. In our environment, individuals can hold multiple concurrent affiliations and responsibilities, for example being both a member of staff and a student at the same time, or having multiple organisational roles. Managing these scenarios can be challenging, and I would welcome stronger support for a single identity model that can accommodate multiple personas, affiliations and role assignments simultaneously. Enhancements in this area would help organisations with complex structures implement identity governance in a more intuitive and efficient way.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saviynt is helping us address a number of challenges associated with managing identity and access at scale. Historically, many access management activities have been manual, time-consuming and difficult to govern consistently. Saviynt provides a platform to automate key identity lifecycle processes, improve visibility of who has access to what, and strengthen access governance across the organisation. The benefits for us include reduced manual effort, more consistent joiner, mover and leaver processes, improved auditability, and greater confidence that users have appropriate access based on their role and responsibilities. It is also helping us establish stronger foundations for role-based access control and access certifications, which will support both operational efficiency and security in the longer term.

What do you like best about the product?

Its flexibility, strong IGA capabilities, and ability to integrate with a wide range of applications and systems. I also like the level of automation it provides for identity lifecycle and access governance.

What do you dislike about the product?

The main area for improvement is platform performance for large data volumes and some long-running jobs. Troubleshooting can also sometimes be challenging due to limited visibility into the underlying processing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saviynt helps centralise identity and access management, automate joiner-mover-leaver processes, and improve access governance and compliance. This reduces manual effort, improves visibility of user access, and makes managing identities and entitlements across multiple applications more efficient.

What do you like best about the product?

I really like Saviynt's modern UI and customizable logic. The modern UI makes training easier for staff during user acceptance testing and deployment, which is a big plus for us.

What do you dislike about the product?

We have run into a number of product limitations that we've raised as "ideas," and it's frustrating to see similar issues submitted by others that are multiple years old with no solutions yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saviynt helps us manage a large number of identities and subgroups like staff, students, and academics in higher education, ensuring security and easing the transition to UAT and deployment with its modern UI and customizable logic.

Zuma looks interesting

What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate that Saviynt is a cross-platform tool, which is great for ensuring compatibility and flexibility across different systems. I also find the AI discussion and presentation aspects valuable, as they enhance the overall experience of using the software. Additionally, the benefits related to ZUMA seem worthwhile, though I'm exploring them further.

What do you dislike about the product?

I find Saviynt a bit complex, which can make navigating it a challenge. Also, I'm still working on the setup, so it doesn't feel very straightforward or intuitive to me yet.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saviynt solves audit and mitigation issues with human accounts, helps with identity and access management, and offers cross-platform compatibility.

What do you like best about the product?

It’s a forward thinking company and is laser focused on delivering the frontier problems of access management and identity today.

What do you dislike about the product?

Not very much, I would have suggested UX improvements and there’s still work to do here but I can see in the new releases this becoming an Improvement

Automating JML

I like Saviynt because it provides one solution for automating the identity lifecycle and its governance, and it implements a Just-In-Time (JIT) model of Privileged Access Management (PAM).

What do you dislike about the product?

The back-end interface of Saviynt looks a bit dated, and I'd like it to be more visually appealing.

Synergy between different tools
