What do you dislike about the product?
- If the text entered in certain fields contains remains of any previous format, the text is not interpreted correctly. If this problem were solved, hours of revision would be saved.
- It could incorporate the use of AI for translations so that the user only has to fill the inputs in one language and the rest of the languages are filled in automatically.

With contentful for 5 Years now - build an ecommerce shop + cms for multiple platforms on it
What do you like best about the product?
a headless cms with an awesome UI to configure content types that does not struggle on a larger scale. Good APIs for an easy integration in web, very good availability, no noticable service interruptions in all those years. EU company (berlin based) which in the beginning made negotiations and contact easy (no time zone difference, understanding for our market ...)
What do you dislike about the product?
Some important features for us got added late and through apps instead of a more in depth implementation, during those 5 years we have the 5th customer success manager and 3rd sales contact. All of them were and are great but as a customer you wonder about the fluctuation of employees in that regard. It seems that management has shifted to the US during the last couple of years with less understanding and interest for our market (tourism) in the EU.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributing content accross multiple platforms (web, ios, android) on a larger scale and storing lots of content in Contentful like ecommerce data and much more.
One of the better CMS I've used
What do you like best about the product?
Having all our content managed outside our codebase but structured in a way that most folks can easily navigate to make changes is a timesaving benefit. Managing content in this way takes stress off the dev team and allows others to have control on when content gets published.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's definitely a learning curve for most people, technical and non-technical alike. There's only a draft and published state, which is a bit limiting because sometimes we want to archive something but we'd haev to revert it to draft form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful helps us manage content development and deployment for our website without engaging the engineering team or waiting on new releases. That keeps our dev team focused and keeps our non-technical team happy to have some control on when their content gets refreshed.

- Contentful can act as source of truth for contents for whole online shop
- There is Locale support which allows having content in multiple languages
- Third party apps are easy to install in contentful
- Its very easy to create content models that suits the needs from the Contentful Web UI
- Unpublished contents can be accessed using the preview api
- Content models changes can be experimented in different environments

What do you dislike about the product?
- It's a bit tricky to get an overview of the content tree
- There is no grouping for Content models. If the usecase requires certain type of content models to fall under a group, grouping needs to be hacked using naming conventions that would mimic grouping
- Experimental features sometime go thorugh breaking pages which would make upgrades tricky. One of the example is Compose. There were some content model changes for page and page settings which made upgrade to next version a bit tricky

Contentful serves as a source of truth for all contents of a web application. We have integrated our Translations Management System (TMS) to Contentful. This allows us to dynamically trigger an translations in TMS when new contents are added to Contentful and eventually export the translated content to Contentful. Once all the content is place we preview the content using preview API, and once happy with the preview we publish the content to make available in the main website.
One platform to rule them all
What do you like best about the product?
We picked Contenful over other headless CMS for a number of reasons, flexibility and integration options being the main ones. We had to cater for a very specific scenario presenting complexity around single sign on, multi-tennanted data architecture and integration with other data APIs, all with the goal of allowing the final users to handle all of their web and mobile contents from one place. That's where Contenful and it's framework(s) really shine!
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model could be improved in order to allow access to the full functionality during development stage without impacting the financial side too much, especially for startups or prototype-stage projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing one unified place where customers of our platform can login and manage all aspects of their content and sales lifecycle, in a seamlessly integrated workflow and UI.

What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve: Contentful's data modeling approach and the use of the GraphQL API can be challenging for teams without prior experience in these areas. This can lead to a slower adoption rate and potentially longer project timelines.
Complexity errors in GraphQL API: When having deeply nested data, you will definitely get that 11000 GraphQL complexity error. We had to spend a lot of time working around that error.
When it comes to GraphQL, you are on your own.
Pricing: For smaller teams or organizations with limited budgets, Contentful's pricing model may be a barrier to adoption.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful is designed to address various challenges faced by organizations in managing and delivering digital content across multiple platforms. We had a slow performance since understanding that new mindset is challenging.
A modern CMS, full of potential
What do you like best about the product?
Coming from an older stagnant CMS, Contenful is a modern headless CMS that's easy to use. In the few short months that I've been using it, I've already seen more improvements and new features added behind the scenes than our past CMS provided in a MAJOR update.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have run into issues with updating content, leaving it as a draft and not publishing, "session bugs" as one dev described it. Though I feel confident that this and other problems won't be very long-lived as I've seen issues fixed since I began using Contentful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a modern, adaptive headless CMS that was easy enough for anyone to contribute to. The ease of use has allowed stakeholders to contribute without concern over system breakage.
Empowers marketing teams to publish content w/o web developers
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who is not able to code, I enjoy being able to leverage standard templates through Contentful to publish content quickly and efficiently. I typically use contentful to publish blogs, product updates, webinar registration pages, documents, and more - all without the incremental help of the already extremely busy web team that supports the marketing org.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Contentful continues to improve, I desire more standardized templates that I can use to create new web pages in an agile manner. I also desire the ability to change text and images on existing webpages without affecting the structure of the layout.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful makes it easy for non--technical users to publish content to the web using standardized templates. As a result, I, the user benefit from the ability to publish content to the web without the help of the web team.
I consider it very organized and intuitive.
What do you like best about the product?
It is effortless to understand how it works; it is pretty helpful that you can filter the multiple functions and parts of the website, so you can easily find the components and modify them.
What do you dislike about the product?
In my personal experience, one of the things that I dislike is that if you don't have the newest version, there are many things that you can't do. Another thing is that when you upload an image, it can lose its quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my personal opinion, one of the things that it solves for the company I work for is that whenever we have to update a promotion or present a temporary benefit for our clients, and we eventually have to go back to our traditional advertising, we have a record of the versions that mention the time it was last updated and we can quickly go back to it.
Great headless, API-led CMS
What do you like best about the product?
The level of flexibility regarding what is possible within Contentful via APIs and the supporting documentation, the ease of making and pushing content changes for both the global and regional business teams, Strong architectural support during the onboarding process
What do you dislike about the product?
There need to be more templates available that teams can take advantage of since it is such a different approach for many people who are used to legacy CMS' systems. The process to push content changes to a staging environment first to test and then out to production could be more seamless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pushing content to our headless react application which lives both on our website globally as well as in our in-store retail application to help customers pick the right product for themselves. The benefit is the speed in which updates can be made and the flexibility of how each regional business team can make updates per region.
