Great alternative to VPNs with strong security and smooth access

  • October 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Zscaler Private Access is that it completely removes the hassle of using a traditional VPN. Once it’s set up, users can securely access internal apps from anywhere without worrying about connecting to the corporate network. The zero-trust approach feels much safer because access is given only to what’s needed. It also integrates nicely with identity providers like Okta or Azure AD, which makes user management simple and one more advantage is it is noticing each and every ethernet connections.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I am being honest, the setup can be tricky at first, especially if you’re new to Zscaler or zero-trust concepts. Some of the policies take a bit of trial and error to get right, and the documentation could be clearer in a few areas. I’ve also noticed occasional delays with authentication when multiple integrations are active. The reporting dashboard is good but could use a few more customization options for deeper visibility
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Private Access has helped us move away from traditional VPNs, which were often slow, hard to manage, and required users to connect to the entire corporate network just to access one app. With ZPA, our users can securely connect to internal applications from anywhere without worrying about network configurations or slow connections

This is a reliable service that provides strong security for enterprise networks. In particular, Zscaler's zero trust model offers a high level of protection, ensuring your network remains secure.

Zscaler Private Access implements a Zero Trust networking model, which helps protect your applications and data by prioritizing security, privacy, and data loss prevention.

Using Zscaler

  • October 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about Zscaler Private Access is how easy it makes remote access without relying on a traditional VPN. You don’t have to connect to a full network—ZPA gives you access only to the specific applications you need, which keeps everything more secure and limits potential risks.

It’s also much smoother for users. You can switch between networks without losing your connection or having to constantly log back in. The performance is noticeably faster too, since traffic doesn’t have to go through a single VPN gateway.

From an IT and security perspective, it’s a huge win. It simplifies access management, reduces infrastructure costs, and helps maintain a true zero-trust environment. Overall, ZPA provides a secure, reliable, and user-friendly way to connect people to the resources they need, no matter where they’re working.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Zscaler Private Access is great for security, it can be a little frustrating at times. The biggest issue I’ve noticed is that it sometimes blocks legitimate sites that really shouldn’t be restricted — for example, Yahoo Sports, which I use for fantasy leagues. It feels like the filtering can be a bit too aggressive.

Performance can also be inconsistent. Sometimes it slows things down or drops the connection unexpectedly, especially when switching between networks. And when something doesn’t work, it’s not always clear why — the troubleshooting process can be confusing.

Overall, ZPA does a good job keeping things secure, but I wish it were a little more flexible and user-friendly. A few tweaks to performance and site access would make it much better to use every day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The program effectively protects our network from hackers and unauthorized access. It makes us all feel safe since we deal with sensitive and personal information

Enterprise Solution for Application and Web Access

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can block access to non-approved applications and websites. I like that Zscaler has preset groupings of sites and applications that makes blocking categories of applications and sites easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Zscaler agent service on my local computer often disconnects at random times and sometimes requires a restart of my computer to re-connect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler prevents our users from connecting to suspicious or malicious applications and websites and prevents them from downloading suspicious files.

A great solution for managing communication and access at administrative level

  • October 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In the company where I work is used to allow or deny communications of the equipment with the local network, it also maintains filters so that navigation is safe and is kept within the allowed parameters
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is complex, not at all intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem is information security, high levels of security are maintained in the information that is handled and it must be totally safe to open pages with data and prevent pages, people or companies from wanting to access valuable information

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Starts with boot, and auto login. does not prompt repeatedly for passwords. works silently in the background.
What do you dislike about the product?
The installation of Zscaler has made the systems extremely laggy and slow.
most of the times the system freezes. perhaps our systems hardware is to be blamed, as they are 4 year old, and 8 gb systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used over trellix to monitor and restrict any unwanted breach of security of operational limits of intranet based network.

Best ZTNA solution to achieve digital transformation

  • July 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy Integration with multiple identity providers, including Microsoft AD, Entra ID, Google, Okta, and Ping. And it supports both SAML and SCIM provisioning methods.
Quick Connectivity through the Client connector and multiple data centres available in different regions, we can select the nearest based on user and Application availability.
Some features, like Source IP Anchoring(SIPA) and Nano log Streaming Services, will really help to address special use cases.
We can raise a support case from the tenant, and the response from the TAC team is timely and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is expensive to compare with a VPN solution, and it requires an additional subscription to utilise some features like NSS and SIPA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No complexity to connect apps- Private applications are hosted in differnt on-prem datacenters and clound environments, without doing any changes in network architecture, easily connect applications via App connectors.
Secure way of connect- Application & datacenter network details are not publicly accesble/hosted, there is no direct connectivity between end device and Applications. Appications connected with App connectors, and App connectors accessble via Client connector only.
IP requirement- In some use cases, client applications only accessble via corporate public Ip, by deploying SIPA, we have access client application via our own IP not through Zscaler cloud IP.

Secure access without VPN hassles

  • July 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Zscaler Private Access provides fast, secure access to internal apps without using a traditional VPN. It improves productivity and ensures strict access control through its Zero Trust model, which is essential for maintaining client data security.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, Zscaler Private Access feels more like an extra step than a benefit. When internal apps don’t load properly or access is denied for no clear reason, it disrupts my workflow. The tool doesn't always feel helpful in day-to-day tasks, especially when working on low-risk or routine activities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Private Access solves the problem of secure remote access to internal apps without using a VPN. It improves data protection, reduces access delays, and helps maintain client security compliance in my role

ZPA in Action: A Deep Dive into Zscaler’s Zero Trust Solution

  • June 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ZPA doesn’t rely on traditional VPNs. Instead, it connects users directly to applications—not the network—minimizing lateral movement and reducing the attack surface.
What do you dislike about the product?
Figuring out why something isn’t working can be confusing. If your internet is down, you can’t access your apps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditional VPNs give users full access to the network, which can be a security risk and often slows things down but ZPA provide application base networking which does not slow my system down.
