CrowdIn is allowing me to participate in the translation of the UI of our organization's software into the language my teammates use most.

Great Value Pricing for Strong Results

    Reviewed on Aug 31, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The pricing compared to other tools for the outcome is pretty good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having proper version history to change back and when a new file is uploaded it just simply overwrites everything without multi confirming and cautionary steps
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The localization management got easier although it could still get more intuitive e.g. showing languages and source text in columns based on same strings or topics or wordings for easier cross check and consistency

Clear Translator/Approver Roles with Fantastic Task Tracking

    Reviewed on Aug 24, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The distinct roles between the translator and the approver are cool. The way it tracks the tasks of the two different roles is fantastic. I would say what we have been paying to crowdin is worth it.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you assign two approvers, the fact that one can override the approval of the other is something that needs to be managed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been localizing a software tool for the Ethiopian widely spoken languages and that helped our users a lot.

    Essential for Collaborative Localization

    Reviewed on Aug 20, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Crowdin for its ability to facilitate collaboration on localization projects, enabling a large amount of work to be completed without overburdening one person. I like seeing the percentage progress on translation strings or documents because it's an easy way to know which areas to focus on. The initial setup was also straightforward; I was simply invited and created an account, making it pretty easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't put my finger on why, but the interface can get overwhelming sometimes. I wish, for example, that there was a way to sort the list of tasks by percentage progress as soon as I open the project and see all the progress bars. If it is a large project, I have to scroll and visually seek the one I can work on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps me collaborate effectively on localization projects and get a big amount of work done without burdening one person. The percentage progress feature helps me easily know the areas to focus on.

High-Quality Native Translations, but Syncing Can Overwrite Missing Keys

    Reviewed on Aug 20, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the high-quality translations produced by native speakers, paired with solid programmatic implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
We ran into an issue where we sometimes had to create our own translations because an official one wasn’t available yet. However, our syncing process would then open a PR that ended up erasing those custom translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Matching native speakers with translation needs for app development.

Easy Translation Editing and Clear Contributor Tracking

    Reviewed on Aug 20, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Since our project had several contributors, Crowdin made it easy for me to see who contributed which translated string on what date. The platform also made the editing and approval process exceptionally easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found some aspects of the interface not very intuitive. Had I discovered the filters feature earlier, I would have saved myself considerable time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin solved the problem of having multiple versions of the same working document circulating around. Instead, all the work was focused on the same document at different times and by different people.
    Translation and Localization

    Powerful, flexible, and very practical

    Reviewed on Aug 17, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I currently use Crowdin as a volunteer localization contributor on a large multilingual software project with several thousand strings. I work directly in the editor to translate and review interface strings, check existing translations, communicate with other team members and follow the progress of the localization.
I really like having so much in one place. Progress is easy to follow, communication with teammates happens right inside the project, and I find the right-hand panel especially useful for comparing translations in other languages.
I’m also a big fan of the reporting tools. Being able to track the time spent on a project and turn it into a concrete cost based on an hourly rate is genuinely useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are two things I’d really love to see.
For very large projects, I’d like an option to display many more strings — ideally a whole file — in one continuous list. Going through page after page gets repetitive when you’re working with thousands of strings, and being able to select or copy a large block at once would be very useful.
The feature I miss most is a true review mode for translations. I’d like to make a second pass through every string and simply mark it as “reviewed”, whether I changed it or not, with its own progress indicator. Approval is useful, but it isn’t quite the same thing. If I review 50 strings and only 35 need changes, I still want a clear way to know that all 50 have actually been checked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin makes a very large localization project much easier to manage. With thousands of strings to work through, having everything organized in one place makes a real difference. I can easily see how the project is progressing, work with other team members, and keep translation, communication, reporting and AI tools together. It saves me a lot of time and, most importantly, helps me keep the localization consistent across such a large project.

Effortless Translations with Seamless Team Collaboration

    Reviewed on Aug 13, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use Crowdin for translations of text into apps or pages. It's quite fast to communicate with my international team, and I like that it gives me AI suggestions and older translations of similar texts. It's very easy to navigate. The initial setup was quite easy; I received access pretty fast and got a special meeting about how it works. I like working with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
    Nothing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin speeds up communication with my international team and provides AI and older translation suggestions, making the process efficient and user-friendly.
    Translation and Localization

Review of Crowdin by volunteer translator.

    Reviewed on Aug 12, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is the localization tool our organization has chosen to use. It's helpful to see the localizations in many other languages even though I don't speak them. It's helpful for managing multiple localizations of a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting started with Crowdin seemed much more difficult than it needed to be. There wasn't any help in the invitation email for navigating the nine or so different login options. Then once logged in and making changes to the strings or adding new ones it wasn't obvious how to save them. The interface is a bit complicated to begin with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps us to manage both the volunteers who are localizing the software and the translated strings. It looks like it allows people to use many different authentication methods like Google, Github and other ID providers.
