    Effortless Setup and Robust Integration

    Reviewed on Aug 05, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I do enjoy the Terraform integration with Control Plane, as it provides direct infrastructure as code integration, which is the reason I chose it over competitors like Railway. I also appreciate the MCP for debugging stuff. Additionally, the initial setup was extremely easy, making the onboarding process smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find logging challenging to get right or sift through.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control Plane simplifies the complexity of our infrastructure by handling containers without images or networking. I chose it for its direct infrastructure-as-code integration, especially appreciating the Terraform integration and MCP for debugging.

    "self"-managed infra w/ ControlPlane

    Reviewed on Aug 04, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Control Plane makes it very easy for us to have multi-regional, scaled deployments for infrastructure within in our own managed AWS account. We were able to achieve mostly automated infrastructure deployments in a much shorter period of time than we could have managed alone. Additionally, the support team is responsive, competent, and patient. I liked that they didn't charge us a lot upfront, making it easy to get started and experiment with their tool. It was important for us to have control over our infrastructure, and Control Plane allows us to maintain that ownership while enabling rapid modernization.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were definitely some road bumps in the beginning with Control Plane, which I can attribute to us being one of their first customers. While the initial experience with setting up was a bit tough, I think the Control Plane team has worked hard to make it a smoother experience now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a small team with no dedicated infrastructure engineers. ControlPlane helps us achieve the mature infrastructure that we need as a healthcare and regulated medical device product without the time and effort.

What do you like best about the product?
ControlPlane has simplified our entire workload deployment process. ControlPlane also helped us reduce costs and made cost management much easier overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. We had some performance issues when using the connection agent with high frequency database connections, but we could work around the problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In AWS deployments, management of workloads and management of users, access and permissions is complicated. ControlPlane simplifies it.

Simplified Our Infrastructure with Great Support

    Reviewed on Jul 29, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It has significantly simplified our infrastructure, letting us spend more time building instead of doing DevOps. Support has also been great, both in the onboarding phase, and during normal operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggled a bit to combine our Prometheus metrics from our application with metrics coming from other infrastructure, like serverless compute.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It manages everything related to k8s for us, so we can focus on building software instead of spending time managing the platform.

Flexible, Resilient, and Fast: Control Plane Delivers

    Reviewed on Jul 24, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Control Plane gives us the flexibility we need without compromising speed or resiliency. It helped us achieve a six-nines SLA, which is huge for us. Support is stellar when we need it and the pricing is fair. Amazing solution for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything that I dislike about control plane
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control Plane solves the infrastructure complexity behind running reliable workloads at scale, especially across multiple clouds. We get the resilience of a multi-cloud setup without having to build and maintain all the orchestration ourselves. Less vendor lock-in, easier failover and no massive operational mess when a provider or region has issues.

It also gives us a lot more flexibility around where workloads run and how they scale. We can optimise for performance, availability or cost depending on the workload, and react quickly when demand changes. That helps us cut infrastructure spend and avoids needing a large platform team just to manage cloud plumbing.

In practice, we get better reliability and scalability, while the engineering team spends more time building the product instead of maintaining infrastructure.

The platform I bring to every company I join

    Reviewed on Jul 22, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I've been a Control Plane customer across multiple companies, and it's the platform I bring with me wherever I go. The portal's UI is clean and intuitive enough that my team can manage complex, multi-cloud workloads without deep specialization in each provider, which means I can run more services with fewer engineers. That's real ROI, not marketing speak.

Integrations are a major strength. It fits cleanly into our existing stack, from our CI/CD pipelines and IaC tooling to observability and secrets management, so adopting it didn't mean ripping anything out. It sits on top of the major cloud providers and abstracts the differences away.

Performance and reliability have been consistently excellent. Deployments are fast and the platform just works, so I spend far less time firefighting than with any other provider I've used.

The standout is their customer support, hands down the most comprehensive and on-point of any vendor in my stack. Fast responses from actual engineers, and a roadmap visibly driven by customer needs, including the intelligent automation they keep layering into the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main limitation is cloud and hardware coverage. Control Plane supports the major providers well, but with new neoclouds popping up constantly, it's hard for them to stay current, and they don't carry all the GPU types available on the market today. To their credit, their "Bring Your Own Kubernetes" feature is a solid workaround. We use it to integrate servers with GPUs they don't carry directly into our GVC and allocate workloads to them, so we're never actually blocked. Still, native support for more neoclouds and GPU SKUs would remove that extra step. Beyond that, the pace of new features occasionally means documentation lags what's in the portal. Minor issues relative to the value we get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control Plane is the backbone of our entire development environment. We have a tightly coupled pipeline, GitHub to GitHub Actions to Control Plane, giving us fully automated CI/CD and a comprehensive dev environment without a dedicated platform team to babysit it. Before, running this level of infrastructure would have required more headcount; with Control Plane I run more complicated technology services with a smaller staff, which is measurable ROI for us as a growing company.

The GVC model and Bring Your Own Kubernetes also solve GPU access for us. We integrate servers with GPU types not natively carried and schedule workloads to them alongside everything else, one pane of glass regardless of where compute lives.

We haven't stood up production yet, but Control Plane's SOC 2 Type II compliance means we can extend our footprint to production as we grow without re-platforming or fighting a compliance battle. That derisks our roadmap significantly.
