The zero-setup, interactive in-browser coding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hand-holding; lacks open-ended projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataCamp solves learning friction by removing software setup and forcing you to actively code rather than passively watch videos. This benefits you by rapidly building muscle memory and syntax confidence without the usual tech headaches.

Gamified learning opportunities

What do you like best about the product?
The way you can learn and gamify challenges and that you literally have to pay attention and get certificates that will carry value to your personal and private, as well as your work carreer and make your persona more interesting for HR. Classes are simple, smooth and seem that is very much up to date. I get it for free trough my employment benefit so i can't comment about it. I don't like the AI application of it, i rather have real teachers but is too expensive i guess.
What do you dislike about the product?
Has to be "company" related and can't be linkedin adding your certificates, but the website itself can be more 'smoother" and less aggresive colours and let you chose what you can see and want to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My knowledge barrier about Python and coding. Is benefiting me because i can look more attractive to my bossees and more smart around adding real value and solutions to problems they carry.

Interactive, Structured Learning for Real-World Data & AI Skills
Reviewed on Jun 11, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
DataCamp has a clean and user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate courses, tracks, and assessments. The platform is well organized, and the bite-sized lesson format helps learners stay engaged without feeling overloaded. The interactive coding environment is one of its biggest strengths because it allows you to practice immediately while learning. DataCamp is most helpful for people who want a practical, accessible, and structured way to learn data and AI skills. Its biggest upsides are the interactive learning experience, clean interface, and strong focus on real-world technical skills. It is especially valuable for learners who prefer guided progression and hands-on practice over purely theoretical content.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I find least helpful about DataCamp is that, although it’s very strong for structured learning and guided practice, it can sometimes feel too controlled, overly simplified, or not fully reflective of real-world working environments. It’s useful for building foundational skills, but there are drawbacks depending on what a learner or organization needs, especially if they’re looking for something that feels closer to day-to-day work. DataCamp can create a comfortable learning experience without always preparing users for the ambiguity and complexity of real-world work. Its downsides are most noticeable for advanced learners, teams needing stronger integration, or users looking for highly current and deeply applied AI content. It is still a useful platform, but it often works best as one part of a broader learning strategy rather than a complete solution on its own.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataCamp solves the problem of making technical learning more accessible, structured, and practical, especially for people who want to build skills in data, analytics, SQL, Python, BI, and AI without having to figure everything out on their own.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that DataCamp provides tasks to learn as you go instead of being just video-based like LinkedIn Learning. Their presentations and cheat sheets are great, as they are well-structured and well-presented. I also found the initial setup to be very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be good to see what courses other people are doing in your organization and also tracks made for my role would be good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use DataCamp to learn new tools like PowerBI and Python. It supported me in learning AI courses, like the OpenAI API, which helped me create a tool benefiting my business.

What do you dislike about the product?
Dopamine shots given by short practices and point.

Easy-to-Follow Lessons with AI Help That Keeps Learning Sticking
Reviewed on Jun 05, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Datacamp is that I can apply what I learn right away before moving on to the next lesson. I also like the AI feature, which helps me a lot when I get stuck. This makes it easier to retain a lot of what I’ve learned before leaving the platform, and the content is very easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about DataCamp is that when I’m trying to submit a project, if I’ve unfortunately opened too many DataCamp tabs, I can’t submit my project until I close all of those tabs. It took me a while to understand what was happening, and I spent a lot of time making changes and deleting parts of my project because I thought the problem was with my solution. That’s what I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem DataCamp is solving, at least for me, is retaining what you learn in online courses. I’ve spent a lot of time taking online courses, and most of them spend 30 minutes to an hour explaining things before they let you practice. Before you know it, you’re overwhelmed and you forget a lot of what you just learned. DataCamp has helped me a lot because it made me realize that the issue isn’t always me it’s often how those courses are designed and the videos are very short but with a lot of practical exercises.

Hands-On Learning with Instant Feedback - DataCamp Builds Real Skills Fast
Reviewed on Jun 03, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about DataCamp is that it is very hands-on and practical, so you can build real data skills quite fast. Instead of long theory lessons, you directly write code in the browser and get instant feedback. This helps a lot to understand faster and remember better.
One of the most useful things is the built-in coding environment. You don’t need to install anything or prepare data. You can start practicing SQL, Python or analysis immediately. This really saves time and makes the learning smoother.
I also like the career and skill tracks. They give clear direction, so you don’t waste time thinking what to learn next. It is very helpful to follow a structured path step by step.
The platform is also very easy to use. The UI is clean and simple, and lessons are short with exercises after. This makes it easier to learn even when you have a busy schedule.
Another good point is the real projects and workspace (DataLab). You can practice with more realistic cases, similar to real work. This helps to connect theory with real use cases and be more ready for the job.
In terms of value, DataCamp gives good ROI because you get many courses (data, analytics, AI) for a reasonable price. Also, the AI features like explanations and help to fix errors make learning easier and faster.
For integrations, it supports tools like Slack, Teams, LMS, and SSO, so it is easy to use in a company environment and connect learning with daily work.
Performance is also very good. It is fully browser-based, so it is fast and stable, and you don’t lose time with setup or technical issues.
About onboarding and support, it is very quick to start. The platform guides you step by step, gives recommendations, and feedback is included in the exercises. Because of this, you can learn by yourself without needing a lot of external help.
Overall, DataCamp is very strong because it combines easy usage, practical learning, and clear structure, so you can learn skills that you can apply directly in your daily work.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I don’t like so much about DataCamp is that sometimes the content can feel a bit too basic or not deep enough, especially for more advanced topics. It is very good for learning fundamentals, but when you want to go deeper, it can feel a bit limited.
Also, many exercises are very guided, so you follow instructions step by step. This is good at the beginning, but sometimes it feels like you are not thinking a lot by yourself. It would be better to have more open practice.
Another point is that the projects could be more realistic or complex. They are useful, but sometimes still a bit simple compared to real work scenarios.
Regarding content, even if there are many courses, the platform is quite focused only on data topics, so it is not ideal if you want to learn other areas like software engineering or broader IT topics.
From a pricing perspective, the subscription model can feel expensive if you are not using the platform regularly. Also, a big part of the content is behind paywall, so the free version is quite limited.
Another downside is that sometimes it is not very clear which course to take next, especially if you don’t follow a track. This can be a bit confusing for new users.
Finally, the certificates are useful but not enough alone to get a job. You still need real projects or experience outside the platform.
Overall, DataCamp is very good to start and practice, but it is not enough by itself for advanced level, so you usually need to complement it with other resources.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DataCamp is mainly solving the problem of how to learn data skills in a practical and efficient way, without spending too much time on setup or only theory.
In my case, one big problem it solves is that usually learning data topics (like SQL or Python) takes a lot of time to install tools, prepare data, and understand where to start. With DataCamp, everything is already prepared in the browser, so I can focus only on learning and practicing. This helps me save time and be more productive.
Another problem it solves is the gap between theory and real work. Many platforms are very theoretical, but DataCamp makes you practice immediately. This benefits me because I can apply what I learn directly in my daily work, for example improving queries or structuring analysis better.
It also solves the issue of not knowing what to learn next. The career tracks give a clear path, so I don’t waste time searching or guessing. This helps me stay more focused and consistent.
Another benefit is around continuous learning. Since the lessons are short and easy to follow, I can learn in small sessions even during busy days. This makes it easier to build a habit and progress little by little.
Finally, it helps with keeping skills up to date, especially in areas like analytics and AI. Instead of searching in many different sources, I can find structured and practical content in one place.
Overall, DataCamp helps me learn faster, practice more, and apply skills directly in my work, which makes it very valuable for my role as a data analyst.
