What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataCamp solves learning friction by removing software setup and forcing you to actively code rather than passively watch videos. This benefits you by rapidly building muscle memory and syntax confidence without the usual tech headaches.

What do you like best about the product?

The way you can learn and gamify challenges and that you literally have to pay attention and get certificates that will carry value to your personal and private, as well as your work carreer and make your persona more interesting for HR. Classes are simple, smooth and seem that is very much up to date. I get it for free trough my employment benefit so i can't comment about it. I don't like the AI application of it, i rather have real teachers but is too expensive i guess.

What do you dislike about the product?

Has to be "company" related and can't be linkedin adding your certificates, but the website itself can be more 'smoother" and less aggresive colours and let you chose what you can see and want to see.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

My knowledge barrier about Python and coding. Is benefiting me because i can look more attractive to my bossees and more smart around adding real value and solutions to problems they carry.

What I find least helpful about DataCamp is that, although it’s very strong for structured learning and guided practice, it can sometimes feel too controlled, overly simplified, or not fully reflective of real-world working environments. It’s useful for building foundational skills, but there are drawbacks depending on what a learner or organization needs, especially if they’re looking for something that feels closer to day-to-day work. DataCamp can create a comfortable learning experience without always preparing users for the ambiguity and complexity of real-world work. Its downsides are most noticeable for advanced learners, teams needing stronger integration, or users looking for highly current and deeply applied AI content. It is still a useful platform, but it often works best as one part of a broader learning strategy rather than a complete solution on its own.

DataCamp solves the problem of making technical learning more accessible, structured, and practical, especially for people who want to build skills in data, analytics, SQL, Python, BI, and AI without having to figure everything out on their own.

Short units with practice examples enable entertaining learning.

The design of the presentations could be more lively.

I love that it’s teaching me everything from square one. I previously had no experience learning data, and Data Camp has helped me understand it in a very digestible way.

The app sometimes glitches on my iPad and doesn’t go full-screen, but that’s my only complaint.

Its helping me close my education gap and will help jumpstart my career as a data analyst

I like that DataCamp provides tasks to learn as you go instead of being just video-based like LinkedIn Learning. Their presentations and cheat sheets are great, as they are well-structured and well-presented. I also found the initial setup to be very easy.

I think it would be good to see what courses other people are doing in your organization and also tracks made for my role would be good.

I use DataCamp to learn new tools like PowerBI and Python. It supported me in learning AI courses, like the OpenAI API, which helped me create a tool benefiting my business.

Streaks keep me motivated. Leaderboard gives a dose of dopamine and it makes me want to learn more and more. Short videos help with understending. I've never tried a learning platform like this one before.

What I like most about Datacamp is that I can apply what I learn right away before moving on to the next lesson. I also like the AI feature, which helps me a lot when I get stuck. This makes it easier to retain a lot of what I’ve learned before leaving the platform, and the content is very easy to follow.

What I dislike about DataCamp is that when I’m trying to submit a project, if I’ve unfortunately opened too many DataCamp tabs, I can’t submit my project until I close all of those tabs. It took me a while to understand what was happening, and I spent a lot of time making changes and deleting parts of my project because I thought the problem was with my solution. That’s what I dislike.

The problem DataCamp is solving, at least for me, is retaining what you learn in online courses. I’ve spent a lot of time taking online courses, and most of them spend 30 minutes to an hour explaining things before they let you practice. Before you know it, you’re overwhelmed and you forget a lot of what you just learned. DataCamp has helped me a lot because it made me realize that the issue isn’t always me it’s often how those courses are designed and the videos are very short but with a lot of practical exercises.

What I like most about DataCamp is that it is very hands-on and practical, so you can build real data skills quite fast. Instead of long theory lessons, you directly write code in the browser and get instant feedback. This helps a lot to understand faster and remember better.

One of the most useful things is the built-in coding environment. You don’t need to install anything or prepare data. You can start practicing SQL, Python or analysis immediately. This really saves time and makes the learning smoother.

I also like the career and skill tracks. They give clear direction, so you don’t waste time thinking what to learn next. It is very helpful to follow a structured path step by step.

What I don’t like so much about DataCamp is that sometimes the content can feel a bit too basic or not deep enough, especially for more advanced topics. It is very good for learning fundamentals, but when you want to go deeper, it can feel a bit limited.

Also, many exercises are very guided, so you follow instructions step by step. This is good at the beginning, but sometimes it feels like you are not thinking a lot by yourself. It would be better to have more open practice.

Another point is that the projects could be more realistic or complex. They are useful, but sometimes still a bit simple compared to real work scenarios.

Regarding content, even if there are many courses, the platform is quite focused only on data topics, so it is not ideal if you want to learn other areas like software engineering or broader IT topics.

From a pricing perspective, the subscription model can feel expensive if you are not using the platform regularly. Also, a big part of the content is behind paywall, so the free version is quite limited.
