Great product, extremely easy to use and meets our needs
What do you like best about the product?
I have never experience such a good pre and post sales support in the other products we had used before, like NX from Siemens and Solidworks from Dassault. PTC considered me as a top client since the beginning, making me feel comfortable during onboarding and when we need technical support.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issues are related to small differences between Onshape and the previous CAD systems I was using. Some are a question of habit, some are addressable changing the way I work. A few features I miss I am sure PTC will implement in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing data with clients and managing versions are much easier now.
Onshape is the Future of CAD - And the Future is Now
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Onshape is collaboration. Seemlessly working together with your team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some very particular use cases that I find SolidWorks or another software does slightly better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration and data management. With SolidWorks, these two things are costly and time consuming. With Onshape, these two things are a breeze.
biomedical device design solutions with cost effective and real-time collaboration in start ups
What do you like best about the product?
The impressive feature i found about onshpe is that its cloud based real time collaboration in which multiple peope can work on the same design which is good thing for start ups and group projects where multiple intervention is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the demerit what i felt is like the dependency of internet for working since its a cloud based platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onshapes helps to solve issues like disjoined collaboration , version control issues by the realtime cloud based design acess and also it will accelarte the product development
Amazing CAD experience
What do you like best about the product?
Being in the cloud, uncluttered, simple user interface, ability to use other user's designs, custom features
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to annotate Part Studio sketches (with text and color, which is needed when creating conceptual layout sketches); drawing annotation, absence of drawing symbols such as base circle diameter for a circular array of holes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyze 3D models
Onshape is a huge time and money saver.
What do you like best about the product?
May top 3 features of Onshape are. Braching, no IT costs, and works on any compter with no need to laod software.
What do you dislike about the product?
My two biggest dislike are importing SolidWorks files and remaking drawings. I

An integrated PLM system with no IT cost is a massive win for me.
Easy to use and functional
What do you like best about the product?
I really love using OnShape for 2D and 3D modeling. I like having the ability to use OnShape for more than just a CAD design software. The 2D sketch features give me the opportunity to create DXF and DWG drawings for 2D CAD programing. The 3D features in OnShape are very intuitive and and easy to learn if you're new to OnShape.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes OnShape is too smart for its own good and it tries to guess which feature face you are trying to select. It is sometimes difficult to select 3D faces that are intricate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed user friendly software that allowed us to create 3D and 2D models as well as detailed Machine Drawings for our suppliers.
Perfect tool for team work in CAD design
What do you like best about the product?
versioning: history of all the changes and possibilities to go back on previoius versions of a part are keys for a clean product design
What do you dislike about the product?
drawings are sometimes awfull to work with. the drawing module is really late in ter of performance compared to opther CAD softwares
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy access on protected links for CAD sharing with organisation members
a lot of support when I have issues and bugs (also means I have a lot more issues and bugs than on other softwares, but they are solved quickly)

Good experiences after switching from Solidworks
What do you like best about the product?
It is very stable, enables easy collaboration with collegues, has a good learning center and has regular additions of usable features.
The file system and revision control is also great.
Their customer support is also very helpful when we have had needed a workaround for missing features.
We switched from Solidworks and have found it very easy to switch. We have used it daily for about a year with two licenses.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's still a few features missing, such as some symbols used for complete tolerancing according to ISO standards. Their sheet metal features also have some annoying limitations in adding fillets near bends.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to design our products and make the drawings needed to get things manufactured.
Easy to use CAD
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things is that you are always using the most up-to-date version. You never need to install a new version. Everyone is using the same version globally.
Being able to colaborate over distance is a major plus as I work remotely but can still work on things that the people in the shop are looking at and referencing.
Customer support is A+! I have used other CAD systems that wanted to charge me hourly tech support to solve issues with the program. Onshape is very quick to respond to any emails sent and either show what I've missed or offer a solution to the problem. Also, several of the things that I have mentioned as 'nice to have' features have been implemented in updates so it is very encouraging to have the product growing in response to user feedback.

There are still some things that Onshape doesn't have that other CAD programs have had but every program seems to have something that others don't and it appears to just be a matter of time before Onshape will have added all the shortcuts that I was used to in other programs.
The Android version of Onshape is a bit underwelming but the fact that I can show things on my phone is pretty great!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onshape is the primary CAD program that my company uses. It allows for easy collaboration between remote employees and head office. As well as multiple users working on the same projects.
An extremely capable, easy to use, affordable cloud based CAD platform.
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive functionality is supported by a comprehensive library of courses which allowed me to teach myself CAD from scratch and design complex prototype parts ready for 3D printing and injection moulding. This is truely a program suitable for experts without the barriers for non-experts to develop their skills and produce fantastic results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I have had to go back into the training courses a couple of times to get my head round a couple of the more complex functions - but I think that is to be expected when you have such a broad and complex software package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed me to access a high quality CAD package from my Chromebook - with which most packages are not compatible. I could design highly complex parts, without much experience of CAD and no formal training and was also able to generate patent drawings using the system. It has been crucial for both designing parts and communicating designs to manufacturers and industrial partners.
