What do you like best about the product?

One of the best features is the way it asks questions that keep the conversation going and help dig deeper.

What do you dislike about the product?

The free version has a bit of a limitation on how long you can use it for searches.

I do research for clients, and it’s a very robust tool. The results are consistently great, and the sources it provides are legitimate.

that it's checking real time data and it giving mostly accurate info

that for pro you don't have available at least limited credits for use of computer

it have a clear citation for reference of the information I’m searching for, so I can verify where it comes from and trust its source.

The tool isn’t universal for everyday tasks, and sometimes it hallucinates.

It helps me authenticate and validate references so I can find more accurate information.

I like how easily I can do proper research on a topic. I usually start with a basic question, then find something interesting in the AI follow-up suggestions and ask about it to explore that particular angle further. Overall, it feels more like having a research assistant...

What do you dislike about the product?

Nothing major—just that I wish it did a better job distinguishing genuinely useful findings from information that’s only loosely related to the question. Also, some answers take a bit longer than I’d like.

It saves me from spending hours jumping between tabs when I'm researching a new industry or trying to understand a competitor. I can get the basic picture, identify interesting angles and then investigate the important details myself.

What do you like best about the product?

I like how Perplexity makes research faster by combining AI-generated answers with web search and citations. It helps me quickly understand complex topics, verify information, and find useful sources without having to open dozens of websites.

What do you dislike about the product?

Perplexity is very useful for research, but there are a few areas where I think it could improve. During longer research sessions, the interface can start to feel a bit cluttered, which makes it harder to stay focused. I’d also like to see deeper integrations with the tools I already use as part of my workflow.

Performance is generally fast, though more complex searches can sometimes take noticeably longer. Pricing is another sticking point for me, because it’s harder to justify paying for advanced features when I only need them occasionally. Onboarding and support could also be clearer, especially when it comes to more advanced use cases.

My biggest concern is that Perplexity can sound very confident even when the sources are limited or unclear. Stronger source checking and more explicit uncertainty would make the answers feel much more trustworthy.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Perplexity mainly saves me time when I need to research something. Instead of bouncing between a bunch of different websites and trying to figure out what information is reliable, I can usually get a solid starting point with the sources included right there. I use it for market research, competitor research, technical topics, and for checking out new tools or ideas. It’s especially helpful when I’m trying to understand something I’m not familiar with, because I can get up to speed much faster and make decisions without spending hours searching.

What do you like best about the product?

It saves me a lot of research browsing before I start designing. The AI models sources citations is so necessary for me. If I'm researching a design pattern or looking at how competitors structure something, I can actually open the sources and see where the information came from..The pricing is pretty affordable too.

What do you dislike about the product?

Sometimes the research is still too text-heavy for design work. If I'm researching visual patterns, I want to see more actual interfaces and examples rather than just descriptions of them. and its a bit slower to answer..

I use it to explore different UI patterns, compare how products structure their pages, and even ask for alternative ways to solve the same UX problem. It saves me a lot of research time... and its very good to find out great relevant answers for me..

Its natural search UI and the ability to tee up interesting options off what we've been discussing is good

What do you dislike about the product?

Its ludicrously unreliable. And whilst it started off its now idiotically expensive burning through $1,500 in two days whilst achieving next to nothing. Support are chocolate tea pots these days when they were responsive at first. The guardrails are non existent despite how many times you reiterate it. Has led to numerous GDPR disasters. Avoid like the plague

Very clean and easy to work with. The deep research is also pretty fast and accurate. For market research, I don’t want random answers, and Perplexity gives me the source right next to the information so I can open the report, article, or company page and verify it myself. That makes the research much more usable and trustworthy for my needs...

What do you dislike about the product?

When I’m researching industry numbers, I still have to check original sources since different reports often use completely different definitions. Perplexity is helpful for pulling those numbers but it doesn’t resolve conflicts between them or make inconsistent data line up. The paid plans feel a little expensive, but they make more sense if you’re doing this kind of work every day and need deeper research.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The biggest one is research time. If I'm working with a new industry, I can ask about the market, major players, recent changes, customer pain points and competitors without doing 20 separate searches. It gives me somewhere to start, then I go deeper into the useful sources.
