    Online faxing has replaced my fax machine and supports long term document workflows

    What is our primary use case?

    My main use case for eFax is receiving faxes.

    A specific example of a situation where I used eFax to receive a fax is a copy of a contract being sent to me.

    I also use eFax to receive copies of my EIN from the IRS and other documents from the IRS.

    How has it helped my organization?

    eFax has positively impacted my organization by allowing us to receive faxes since we don't have a fax machine.

    This has helped reduce costs by not having to go to a third party at a physical location to receive a fax.

    What is most valuable?

    In my opinion, the best features eFax offers are that it is easy to use and cost-effective.

    From an ease-of-use standpoint, eFax is simple to log in to and receive faxes. I have also used it to send faxes and the interface is simple and browser-based, at least what I use. From a cost-effective standpoint, I haven't compared it to other competitors recently, so I cannot speak to how it compares today versus previously.

    What needs improvement?

    I don't know how eFax can be improved as nothing comes to mind. It's pretty good the way it is.

    For how long have I used the solution?

    I have been using eFax for probably ten to fifteen years.

    What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    eFax is stable.

    What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

    eFax's scalability is probably fine. I have not had to scale, so I don't really know since I'm a small shop.

    How are customer service and support?

    I have never used eFax's customer support.

    Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

    I did not previously use a different solution before eFax.

    How was the initial setup?

    I have been using eFax for a long time, so I honestly don't remember my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing. I think it was probably fine and probably pretty easy to set up and run, but I just honestly don't remember.

    What was our ROI?

    I wouldn't say that I have looked at the ROI at all. It's something we just needed to have, and so we have it.

    Which other solutions did I evaluate?

    I probably looked at some others before choosing eFax, but again, it's been over ten years, so I don't remember what they were.

    What other advice do I have?

    I would advise others looking into using eFax to consider it and have a look at it since it's worked great for me. eFax is definitely one of the solutions I would look at if I was searching for a new solution.

    Unprofessional Sales Experience Undermined Confidence in eFax

    What do you dislike about the product?
    I own a drug testing and occupational health business, so secure and reliable fax communication is extremely important due to the sensitive personal and medical information we send to and from physicians and other healthcare-related entities.

    I contacted eFax regarding an issue and was initially interested in potentially upgrading my service plan. Unfortunately, my experience with Cheyenne was extremely disappointing. She was rude, dismissive, and unwilling to assist me appropriately. I politely requested to be transferred to another salesperson, but instead she repeatedly insisted on transferring me back to support. After requesting again to speak with someone else in sales, she still transferred me to support anyway.

    As a business owner, professionalism and customer service matter. The interaction felt disrespectful and unhelpful, especially considering I was exploring expanding my services with the company. This situation should be addressed seriously.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    This does not matter when customer service is poor.

    What do you like best about the product?
    What I like most about eFax is the convenience of securely sending and receiving faxes from anywhere without needing a physical fax machine. The platform is easy to use on both desktop and mobile devices, and features like cloud storage, electronic signatures, searchable PDFs, AI-powered document management, and integrations with email and other business applications help streamline workflow efficiency. I also appreciate the reliable document delivery, enhanced security features, and HIPAA-compliant options for managing sensitive information securely.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    One of the biggest downsides people mention about eFax is the pricing and billing experience. Users frequently complain about expensive monthly plans, extra charges, and difficulty canceling subscriptions. Customer support and the outdated interface also get criticized fairly often.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    eFax addresses the need for outdated physical fax machines when sending important documents. Rather than printing, scanning, and relying on a phone line, I can send faxes directly from email, a desktop computer, or a mobile device.

    What do you like best about the product?
    It is very easy to send in forms to the IRS or other organizations and they receive it right away.

    There are no downsides to using eFax online

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like that it’s easy to route forms and information to where they need to go. At my organization, we appreciate being able to use different user emails, which helps us differentiate who sent what and who is receiving what. I also like the folder feature, since it helps me sort what’s specific to my role versus my coworkers’ roles.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I dislike the fax preview feature. Because the preview is typically just a generic confidential cover page, I still have to open every single fax and then mark it as unread if it doesn’t pertain to me. I also dislike that I can’t download fax confirmations to add to employee files as proof/documentation for critical items. As far as performance goes, the main issue for me is the bugginess when viewing faxes. My system often glitches in and out when I’m trying to open new faxes, mark them read/unread, or move them to a different folder.
    What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    eFax Online is helping us save on fax costs. By using eFax, we’ve been able to reduce the expenses tied to paper faxes and using a manual printer. Moreover, eFax provides a solid, centralized hub for our HR team to work from.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like the simplicity of eFax Online Fax Service, and how easily manageable it is. The ability to sort faxes into folders is really helpful, as it allows others to quickly view folders to find legitimate faxes from random ones. Assigning tabs also helps. Additionally, the initial setup was very simple.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    It would be helpful if eFax Online Fax Service could identify spam faxes and have a designated folder for such.

    I use eFax Online Fax Service to receive referrals and clinical authorizations. Its simplicity and folder organization make it easy to manage and sort faxes, helping others quickly find legitimate ones among random faxes.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like eFax Online Fax Service for its speed and accuracy, along with its availability. The user-friendly inbox makes it easy to see everything in one spot, which is perfect for our needs at a small law firm. I also love that I can fax directly from my email, specifically from Outlook, which adds a lot of convenience for outgoing faxes. The feature of being able to fax hundreds of pages electronically solves the problem of fax size for us.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I don't like that I have to go through a few steps to preview an incoming fax prior to downloading. I wish there was a preview in the inbox without downloading.

    Easy to read and print faxes. It's also easy to send a fax.

    I wish it had an easier way to receive billing statements via email rather than logging in each time. It would be helpful for accounts payable to have a way to do that.

    What do you like best about the product?
    I like that I can see fax history from years ago with eFax Online Fax Service. This feature is great for keeping records in case I ever lose the physical copy. I also find the initial setup to be pretty easy. I called customer support a while ago, and they helped me quickly.
    What do you dislike about the product?
    I wish eFax Online Fax Service was capable of letting us see pending faxes, and the process that it is currently going through. I send big faxes often, and it is a bit annoying to not know whether or not it sent or failed.

    eFax Online Fax Service provides a secure communication method, required by some recipients, and offers fax history, useful for keeping records if I lose physical copies.
