What is our primary use case?

CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages is typically used as an IoT platform for the pre-production testing server.

How has it helped my organization?

CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages helps with my application deployment process in general, and I get more productivity with it.

I measure this productivity by the earlier build time with another OS, which was 32 minutes; with CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages, we are able to achieve the build time of around 14 to 16 minutes, down from an earlier 32 to 36 minutes.

I am using performance metrics to evaluate the impact on computing, and basically, where we were using the VPS server for all these things, when we migrated to CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages and containerization, we have observed nearly a 22%, or 20 to 25% drop in tickets.

    What is most valuable?

The biggest advantage of CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages is the additional security layer which it can provide and the configuration with an additional security layer.

I am using container management in CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages, and when we talk about container management, the container generation is quick compared to the other tiers we have evaluated.

The support for DevOps features in CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages helps with my workflow, and when I talk about containerization, we can test the multiple features in parallel and deploy them together, so it makes integration seamless.

We have not seen a measurable difference in compatibility with databases and with other solutions by using CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages, but most of the databases and most of the other systems were readily available for it, so whatever was necessary for us was quite valuable to us.

The security framework in CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages helps to protect sensitive data from cyber threats.

    What needs improvement?

One disadvantage I feel is specifically when I am working with something involving a GUI or GUI-based scenario; they need to improve their GUI slightly. When I am using a standalone system independently, that's one thing, but I can clearly see the lag in CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages. The support system is not very much up to the mark as we have with Ubuntu, and definitely, with respect to CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages, the help or support forum needs to be more comprehensive so that for many issues we need not reinvent the wheel.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience with CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages for around nine to ten months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages is 99% stable and reliable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages is definitely scalable, and I have not encountered limitations in scalability yet.

How are customer service and support?

I would give CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages a rating of six out of ten points for technical support.

As I mentioned earlier, the support forum and all those things are not very accessible and it's a little closed group compared to other operating systems such as Ubuntu or some other forums.

    How was the initial setup?

The installation of CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages is quite straightforward.

    What was our ROI?

I can see value for money with CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

For CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages, I feel the price is affordable, but it can be further optimized, and the price could be reduced.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages is different from other competitors such as Ubuntu because they have gone only for the enterprise module; the latest updates are not very open and the project branching and merging is creating a lot of confusion of late.

What other advice do I have?

My deployment model is a hybrid one, and I have it in a hybrid environment.

I usually work with some other cloud providers; we have created our own cloud with CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages, and we provide the services to our local and hybrid cloud model.

I have not purchased anything from the AWS marketplace because their pricing model is very tricky and we are quite concerned about their billing, so that's why we are avoiding AWS.

I can give CentOS 9 (centos 9) | Support by SupportedImages a rating of eight overall.
