Feature-Rich Testing with Great AI Reporting, but UI and Integrations Need Work
What do you like best about the product?
It offers a vast variety of features and different types of testing under the same hood. Katalon’s record-and-play feature is really helpful, and it allows users with minimal coding knowledge to perform automation testing as well. The reporting is really good, and the AI features, including the self-healing insights, are a real game changer. On top of that, the support and turnaround time are really good. The UI, although very simple, is quite user-friendly too. The pricing is very competitive as well compared to others in market
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Katalon is the UI, which I feel could be improved. It also has very limited support for other integrations, like Playwright or other tools in the market. The API testing is also not up to the mark. I feel the documentation is another area that needs to be updated with more practical examples. It also becomes laggy when executing a large number of test cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables testers with minimal coding knowledge to carry out automation testing. It also helps address the problem of flaky XPaths and reduces the time a tester spends developing test suites.

What do you like best about the product?
Katalon is very easy to get started with and significantly reduces the ramp-up time for test automation. I like that it supports web, mobile, and API testing in one platform. The combination of keyword-driven testing and scripting with Groovy makes it accessible for both non-technical testers and more advanced automation engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance can sometimes be an issue in large or complex projects. Dependency management and upgrades could be smoother, and advanced use cases are not always well covered in the documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Katalon helps reduce manual testing effort, especially for regression testing, and speeds up test execution cycles. It enables teams with different skill levels to contribute to automation and improves overall test coverage for web applications and APIs.

A little heavy to use, the computer slows down a bit;

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Support more junior quality teams, that don't have implementations skills, like Java, and implement test cases really fast.
Powerful Automation Platform That Saves Testing Time
What do you like best about the product?
I would like in katalon studio still i noticed personally it's very speed execution with best quality and it's saving our more time and efficiency , over all great experience
What do you dislike about the product?
For example : I have noticed one thing during running test cases in between failed the specific test cases there showing in logs only elements not found but actual why that case failed details logs and video attachment is missing , i suggest better add video attachment too it will help to understand the where test case failed and why test case failed.

Auto-Captures Test Data and XPaths Effortlessly
What do you like best about the product?
I liked that it automatically captures the data we enter in the testing window. It auto-captures everything required, including the XPaths and the input data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It becomes difficult to check results when I have to go through each test case one by one, and I disliked this about Katalon, especially when there is a very high number of test cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets you quickly automate test cases: after you record them once, it automatically captures the steps for future runs.
Katalon Makes Automation Easy, Maintainable, and CI/CD-Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I am Selenium guy and learnt to code in traditional way. Recently started exploring some other tool which can reduce my maintenance over the time and also designing an automation for new use case is easy. That's where I find Katalon very useful. Its super easy to automate new scenarios, and maintain the existing one if there are changes in the application. Not just that, It's super easy to start with, you can start using it quickly without a deep learning. The community support is great, It works with our existing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if we get few more premium features in free version
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved my requirements that designing a new script for new use cases and maintain those with less efforts in longer run. Katalon helped me achieving all these.
Record Playback Makes It Easy to Review Sessions
What do you like best about the product?
Record playback, and there’s also a community where I can search and find answers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is still not very user-friendly, and sometimes it crashes when I open my project.

when I have issues, I try to search in community page and sometimes get the answers i want
Low-Code Test Automation with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like Katalon Platform's low code automation because I don't need to be a full programmer to create test cases, which speeds up test creation. The interface is easy to use, making it more accessible. Setting it up is also easy compared to other tools, as we can run a setup file or download the release from Git. Katalon Platform supports mobile automation and API testing, which was a key reason for switching from Playwright and Cypress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Katalon should let you open multiple projects, just like developers do with different windows. The code merge feature should work perfectly, and the Git integration could use some improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Katalon Platform solves regression testing issues in mobile apps and supports mobile, API, and web testing. I like that it doesn't require full programming skills, speeds up test creation, and has an easy-to-use interface with a simpler setup compared to other tools.

Katalon is a great testing tool nowadays because it has everything a quality engineers need for complete automation projects, even the free version is having very useful features.
It's super easy to pick up, you can start using it quickly without a deep learning curve. The community support is excellent, so getting help with any problem is fast and simple. It works seamlessly with our existing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
