What do you like best about the product?

I appreciate that Tecnomatix is very easy to use, and the initial setup was straightforward, which made getting started simple. Also, the process speed and lead time for new products have improved significantly.

Tecnomatix helps us simulate the manufacturing process and see results, speeding up the process and reducing lead time for new products.

What do you like best about the product?

I find Tecnomatix most valuable when I need to understand how a manufacturing change might behave before anything is physically altered. Instead of relying only on assumptions or manual trials, I can create and examine a digital version of the process. That makes it simply pleasant to study production sequences and potential bottlenecks. The performance has also been good during simulations and process analysis. Having this level of visibility makes our planning much more practical. Once the workflow becomes familiar, the software gives me a practical way to explore different manufacturing scenarios.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think they could improve the onboarding system, since it’s really helpful for new users before they can work confidently with the more advanced functions. Aside from that one issue, everything else has been working well so far.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

I see the main practical benefit of Tecnomatix when a manufacturing team is considering a change but does not want to discover its consequences through trial and error on the shop floor. We can recreate the proposed process digitally, adjust different variables, and examine possible bottlenecks before anything is physically changed. The UX takes some familiarity, but it gives us access to detailed process information once we understand the workflow. Reliable performance also matters because simulations need to respond well when we are comparing multiple scenarios.

What do you like best about the product?

Copilot is integrated into the process simulation and the hemming operation tab.

What do you dislike about the product?

One challenge we’ve heard is that when the CAD design changes significantly, engineers may have to update or even recreate the kinematics, and then revalidate the simulation from scratch.

It’s easy to use while running simulations, and it also offers deep, feature-rich capabilities.

The 3D model output could be more effective and visually appealing.

Using simulation, we were able to predict where our manufacturing line was choking and identify the bottlenecks more clearly.

I’m using it for validating the sequences that are created by aps and it’s benifitting for validation

I really enjoy Tecnomatix for its integration with motion capture systems like Accent, which makes my experience very smooth. The integration optimizes timing and research time by allowing real-time streaming of human movement data. This has significantly boosted my productivity. I also like how well it handles workstation optimization, and have used it for multiple iterations and designs without any issues. It's so smooth and offers valid data with the biomechanical models, providing real-time insights and enhancing process evaluation and optimization.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think there are a few areas where Tecnomatix could improve. Our customers mentioned they wanted more elaborative training aspects. Having combined workshops or training sessions that integrate Tecnomatix with other systems like Accents would be a very good initiative. It would reduce a lot of time and provide valuable insights, especially from workshops. Also, the initial setup was a bit difficult because there wasn't proper training or a walkthrough. It took us about six months to a year to get accustomed to the software. It would really help if there were shortcuts or suggested ways to better use the software, so the actual usage time is minimized, and new users can benefit from the technology more efficiently.

I use Tecnomatix for workstation optimization. It's smooth and efficient, especially with its integration with the motion capture system. I can stream real-time human movement data, which optimizes research time and provides valuable insights for process evaluation.

Using it for automotive solutions where we can use it for digital valuation

Integration and synchronisation updates with external 3rd party softwares

It’s all about digital validation before we can develop prototypes.

It's a user friendly way to simulate a very wide varierty. I have been able to model many different systems regard the manufacturing industry and logitstics processes.

It can be a bit daunting at first for new users.

Mostly throughput, OEE, scheduling, resource planning problems

Flexibility in model set up and variability of processes that can be captured with the tool.

Hard to learn. So this makes it sometimes difficult to let new people use the models.

Design problems: so for example making sure you are making the right design choiches and preventing mistakes in design.
