Mendix is a cloud-native, full-stack, enterprise-grade, low-code platform. It helps your professional developers and business technologists build tens or even hundreds of enterprise-grade web and mobile apps at speed and scale, all running on a single platform. It makes app development up to 10x faster, which means you can build more apps and keep up with business demand, but it also encourages more business-IT collaboration, which leads to better apps with higher user adoption and better business outcomes. Mendix and Siemens Mendix is used by 4000+ customers across all industries - from banking, financial services  and insurance  to public sector  and retail  - but also has a strong focus on manufacturing  since it was acquired by Siemens in 2019. Mendix is the low-code platform of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and comes with pre-built integrations to other Xcelerator products, like Teamcenter PLM, Opcenter MES and Insights Hub IoT (formerly known as MindSphere). Interestingly, after the acquisition, Siemens also started using Mendix internally. Four years later, they now have 580+ apps in production - all running on AWS - with 300+ more on the way. Mendix and AWS Mendix is fully cloud-native, with containerized apps that can be deployed in a public cloud, private cloud, on premise and even on edge devices. The cloud deployment options  include a highly automated and fully managed public cloud, called Mendix Cloud, which has run on AWS since 2016. Customers who prefer to deploy apps in their own AWS account can do that with the Mendix on Amazon EKS Reference Deployment . Over 75% of Mendix customers run their apps on Mendix Cloud, their AWS private cloud or a combination of both. As a Siemens business, Mendix is also a key part of the Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA)  Siemens signed with AWS in 2021. As a result, Mendix now has a dedicated AWS development team, which aims to make Mendix the fastest and easiest way to build apps on AWS. This has resulted in a rich set of Mendix connectors to 20+ AWS services  and an AWS Workshop , which teaches AWS builders how to use them and get started with Mendix for free. To do this, they will need the Mendix IDE, called Studio Pro. Normally, developers download it on their own machines, but they can also use the Studio Pro AMI  to run it on Amazon EC2. Mendix for SAP Mendix has been SAP's main partner for low-code development since 2017, and that partnership continues to this day. Many customers use Mendix as an innovation layer on top of multiple SAP instances, as well as non-SAP systems, rather than customizing SAP itself. Some are still on SAP ECC and preparing to migrate to cloud and/or SAP S/4HANA. Others are already on S/4HANA and using Mendix to "keep the core clean". Common use cases for Mendix are things which are typically hard to do in SAP, like native mobile apps with offline capability and apps for external business partners, like customers, suppliers and logistics service providers. Mendix supports the latest SAP Fiori design theme, called SAP Horizon, but for external users, customers often prefer to use their own, company-branded design system. In short, Mendix is often used to make SAP more accessible and user-friendly. Mendix can co-exist with SAP's own development technologies, such as SAP Build, Fiori, CAP and RAP, but it has three important benefits as a separate innovation layer on top of SAP. Firstly, it's an all-in-one platform, covering all use cases and DevOps activities in a single platform instead of a collection of tools with varying levels of integration. Secondly, it's all low-code, rather than a mix of low-code tools with high-code tools, which will still be needed for many use cases. Lastly, it's ideal for SAP and non-SAP alike, without (the perception of) being opinionated towards one at the expense of the other. More on Mendix for SAP

Pricing Mendix pricing is designed to be simple, fair, transparent and predictable. The main pricing metric is the number of end users in production apps. There are different user types for internal and external users and users can be licensed on a "single app" or "unlimited apps" basis. This listing shows a sample pricing for unlimited apps, but it's not intended for public offers. Effortless Setup, Optimizes Manufacturing Processes

    Reviewed on Aug 16, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Tecnomatix is very easy to use, and the initial setup was straightforward, which made getting started simple. Also, the process speed and lead time for new products have improved significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
    Nothing specific
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tecnomatix helps us simulate the manufacturing process and see results, speeding up the process and reducing lead time for new products.

Practical Digital Process Visibility in Tecnomatix, Once You Learn the Workflow

    Reviewed on Aug 15, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I find Tecnomatix most valuable when I need to understand how a manufacturing change might behave before anything is physically altered. Instead of relying only on assumptions or manual trials, I can create and examine a digital version of the process. That makes it simply pleasant to study production sequences and potential bottlenecks. The performance has also been good during simulations and process analysis. Having this level of visibility makes our planning much more practical. Once the workflow becomes familiar, the software gives me a practical way to explore different manufacturing scenarios.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think they could improve the onboarding system, since it’s really helpful for new users before they can work confidently with the more advanced functions. Aside from that one issue, everything else has been working well so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I see the main practical benefit of Tecnomatix when a manufacturing team is considering a change but does not want to discover its consequences through trial and error on the shop floor. We can recreate the proposed process digitally, adjust different variables, and examine possible bottlenecks before anything is physically changed. The UX takes some familiarity, but it gives us access to detailed process information once we understand the workflow. Reliable performance also matters because simulations need to respond well when we are comparing multiple scenarios.

Copilot Integration Streamlines Process Simulation and Hemming Operations

    Reviewed on Aug 05, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Copilot is integrated into the process simulation and the hemming operation tab.
What do you dislike about the product?
One challenge we’ve heard is that when the CAD design changes significantly, engineers may have to update or even recreate the kinematics, and then revalidate the simulation from scratch.

It’s easy to use while running simulations, and it also offers deep, feature-rich capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The 3D model output could be more effective and visually appealing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using simulation, we were able to predict where our manufacturing line was choking and identify the bottlenecks more clearly.
