We use SMS API for event promotion (every quarter), and always delivered

  • November 14, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I personally like the ease of use. The interface is really up to date and intuitive, therefore the set up process was fast and easy, even the first time. We never used customer support, but seems easy to contact and ready to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally do not understand why the SMS API cost per message is higher compared to the Messages API. We need to use SMS mostly because not all of our customers use Whatsapp (US customers), therefore we like to keep it simple with just SMS. But we have to sacrifice features like "read" that could be useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use Vonage to remind our customers the day prior to our event. This ensure that the attendance rate is high, and we deliver a personalized message, which can feel more premium.

We have also used it for promoting our events in the past.

Great Phone Service System

What do you like best about the product?
I like the functions of being able to screen share when I am dialing a colleague, I do like the smooth feature of the online video conferencing how it allows out to 99 users at a time for huge companies that has meetings. The auto correct for example is another I find handy especially when sending a quick message I noticed that that system automatically corrects it and sends the message anyways. When it comes to calling the other party is clear and can understand me no static or voice delays which I find to be be really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the colors are limited I do wish there was more fun themes to change the colors when using the system. When it does come to 3 way calls there may be a sudden error where the connection can drop when adding the 3 participant into call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I believe they are solving the quality to ensure that the calling process is better and better performance for utilization.

Mediocre experience with Vonage

  • July 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The PaaS model of the company that allows people to use their features using programmable APIs. The app also allows to share video and audio across region with cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
The prices are on the higher side. While Vonage is top the the line, other competitors like Notilify and Twilio give more affordable plans with similar quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped me replace RestAPI.

A bold new idea in a boring old industry !

  • July 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-The fact that they are not afraid to change and move away from there old self to shine even more amongst their competition.
-the customer support from what i have heard has been amazing and quick,
-it being easily implemented and used among any age groups
-it has the potential to be frequently used
ease of use makes it outstanding at the end of the day.
What do you dislike about the product?
its not what i dislike but i would like them to have a couple of things that will make them stand out from the competetion :
-ease of integeration onto older systems as so many call centers espeacially still use old laptops and pc's for their CSR's
-its number of features not being too heavy on the ram of pc's as we run multiple programs simuntaneosly to run our business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helping customers in problem solving and connecting them with the proper clients

Nice Alternative to REST API

  • July 13, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I felt was the ease of inegration and ease of use. I was quite simple for me to extend the api in the existing piece of code.
What do you dislike about the product?
The starting of the api. The initial learning curve is what bugged me the most about the api.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was troubled to understand the integration and utility with Generative AI. As right now all the API should be Gen AI friendly or they should aspire to be friendly. This api has a long way to go that side.
