What do you like best about the product?

What I like most about Flexera One is how naturally it connects traditional software asset management with the rapidly evolving world of SaaS. The SaaS Management capabilities make it easy to understand subscriptions, usage, and optimization opportunities, while still giving ITAM professionals the ability to manage traditional licensing and entitlement data within the same broader strategy. For me, that combination is what makes Flexera One so valuable. It gives ITAM teams a practical way to organize complex data, understand different licensing models, and manage the transition from traditional software licensing to modern subscription and consumption based environments.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area I believe Flexera One could improve is the automation of financial and contractual data in SaaS Management. Pricing, subscription costs, and contract start and end dates should be imported automatically whenever possible, rather than requiring manual entry. Reducing this administrative work would improve data accuracy, save time, and allow ITAM teams to focus more on optimization, governance, and strategic analysis.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Flexera One helps solve the challenge of managing fragmented IT asset, software licensing, and SaaS data across different environments. It provides a centralized view of entitlements, consumption, applications, and subscriptions, which makes it easier to identify compliance risks, unused licenses, and optimization opportunities. The main benefit for me is having better visibility and more reliable data to support reconciliation, cost optimization, renewals, and strategic ITAM decisions.

What do you like best about the product?

I like Flexera One for its centralized visibility and ease of use. It brings everything together into a single dashboard, which means I don't have to spend time looking at multiple units. It helps provide better visibility into resource usage and reduces compliance risk.

What do you dislike about the product?

I feel some improvement is needed in report customization.

I use Flexera One to manage software licenses, IT assets, and cloud spend. It provides better visibility into resource usage, reduces compliance risk, and brings everything together into a single dashboard, saving time and effort.

Technopedia helps in providing the 3 lakhs SKU which in turn helps in doing license compliance

Its flexera policy template language syntax is somewhat old and slow to process during large data

The CCO dashboard is intuitive and highly flexible, giving us the ability to customize views and drill down into cost data in a way that fits our specific reporting needs. It's made it significantly easier for our teams to track cloud spend and identify optimization opportunities without needing heavy manual effort.

Beyond the product itself, the level of support we've received through our TAM has been a real differentiator. Over time, this collaboration has translated into tangible, measurable improvements across several key metrics:

What do you dislike about the product?

The scheduled power operations feature has not performed as expected. We've run into instances where scheduled start/stop actions didn't execute reliably, which required manual intervention and reduced our confidence in relying on it for automated cost-saving schedules. Having said that, Flexera team has taken into consideration and they are working on improved solution altogether.

We'd like to see this stabilized, as it's a valuable feature when it works consistently. And I m sure, Flexera will deliver it as they have been doing it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps in providing cost savign recommendation for our internal and client cloud spends which greatly saves lot of cost. Flexera One has evolved to great extent as a product and it has become robust to deliver multiple features with great confidence.

What do you like best about the product?

It is very helpful and SAM Professional. “The value generally matches what I'm paying. AI is very useful for drafting content, organizing information, and generating ideas, but there are times when I need to verify its responses or make significant edits. Overall, it provides enough benefit to justify the cost.”

What do you dislike about the product?

No, I don’t think it has any problems. Overall, it’s very good.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Discovery Module is very good and works well for what I need.

What do you like best about the product?

The most striking thing to me is the speed at which we could transition from “guesswork” to making data-driven decisions. Instead of spending time wondering if a product was in use and if more licenses were required, we could base our decisions on real usage and asset information, which would help us optimize cost and compliance readiness. The Flexera tool helped us align the infrastructure, procurement, and engineering departments since everybody was looking at the same data. In a particular instance, when our infrastructure team, procurement team, and engineering management were evaluating the same renewal but using different systems for the numbers, there used to be a lot of debate regarding whose numbers were right. Once Flexera became the source of truth, that debate became unnecessary since everyone was on the same page.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is an obvious learning curve involved in the use of this platform, particularly for those who are unfamiliar with SAM or ITAM.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

In past instances, our renewal procedures were based on assumptions and also had the need for tracking manually. Flexera One has enabled us to track the utilization of our license and ensure that any license that is under-utilized is noted.

It is specifically designed to optimize our renewals by identifying under-used licenses and engaging in constructive conversations with the vendors.

In the past, obtaining our licensing information was a very demanding process for all concerned. However, now we are able to have a reasonable idea of our software and licensing position.

What do you like best about the product?

Having everything in one place made things a lot easier for me. I mostly used it to check software usage and see which licenses weren't really being used. The dashboards were helpful too, especially when I needed to find something quickly without going through a bunch of reports.

What do you dislike about the product?

It took me a little while to get used to where everything was in the platform. Nothing major though, after using it for a bit the navigation became much easier.

It helped us keep track of software usage and licenses without having to check everything manually. It was especially useful for spotting licenses that weren't being used much, so we had a better idea of where we could cut unnecessary costs.

Flexera One provides powerful visibility into IT assets, software, and usage from a single platform.
I especially like its reporting and analytics capabilities, which help identify gaps and drive better asset management decisions. Flexera One provides good value for the cost, particularly for improving asset visibility, data accuracy, inventory management, and integration with ServiceNow.

What do you dislike about the product?

Limited customization and reporting flexibility can make some workflows harder to manage.
The user interface can also feel complex when navigating between different modules and data views.

Flexera One helps us identify gaps in asset data, warranty, and inventory accuracy, reducing manual effort and improving data quality.
It gives us better visibility and control over assets, enabling faster decisions and more efficient HAM operations.

What do you like best about the product?

Flexera One IT Visibility helps us keep track of hardware and software sprawl. Reporting allows us to review obsolete end of life software in order for us to develop a remediation plan. Reporting metrics allows to identify to our management via graphical reports and board on progress being made and new instances that show up over time.

What do you dislike about the product?

Building custom reports can feel daunting. An AI bot would be helpful for assisting with creating the data presentations we need. One area for improvement would be better integration with our management platform, NinjaOne. We also don’t use a lower-tier package because of the pricing of the more inclusive packages. Onboarding was difficult at the beginning, especially when working with support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has helped us eliminate the manual tracking process we previously had in place using spreadsheets fed from other systems. The user interface makes it easy to get to the data sets we need quickly. Reports are generated very quickly and can be modified for specific tasks by cloning them. We can now easily provide our regulators with evidence of sprawl history and demonstrate our active efforts to rectify items.
