What do you dislike about the product?
Support Communication and customer service are not right there for customers
No Prices visible on the price plan page
No images nor downloadable demos for the product, even though it's made for On-premise solutions
Firewalls are great for providing access and monitoring over networks and using DNS feature to apply that might affect the speed, reliability and functionality of the DNS actual function
Technology for having a private DNS or managed DNS is already applicable by multiple OSs and Cloud Service providers, why create a project out of that except for Premise Clients

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every Operating system has the capability of having a self-managed DNS Server, it decreases the effort for a company, offering more traffic control or monitoring, yet it might cause other issues for being standalone and not publicly having DNS records databases; it could be best used as mentioned for Private on-premise companies if they are luxurious enough to buy such service, but I believe it would be more beneficial to get a higher standard service for fastest DNS, Secured DNS, not a manageable one or a one that is capable of traffic monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
Manager DNS, Deducated DNS and traffic steering
What do you dislike about the product?
Traffic querying using Manager DNS does not meet the maximum requirement
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Best security solution
What do you like best about the product?
It's quite efficient to use and superior to other solutions or products in the market within the same price range with many free courses provided by IBM on their website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well it's not the easiest to use but has many tech notes online and the interface could be more user friendly with a different color scheme but not very bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's great for network agility and hybrid cloud environments as everyone is heading to digitalization and migration to the cloud
Well developed GUI and API
What do you like best about the product?
What really impressed me about NS1 is its robust API. Not only can you easily add/delete/modify DNS entries, it also handles complex configurations and user management. Using the API we are able to make hundreds of DNS changes daily on over 1000 domains. It's low latency and high reliability gives us the peace of mind so that DNS is not something we need to worry about.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside i've seen is the GUI doesn't always update after a lot of usage. I would like to see a little more granularity in the changelog API to filter on a zone or user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of thousands of zone files with hundreds of updates every day. Being able to view our statistics down to the individual entry and advanced features like geo-fencing and Aliasing.
Easy and hassle-free DNS service
What do you like best about the product?
It's rock-stable, very fast and easy to use. In addition it has a very flexible api which you can use to do almost anything with a REST call and automate the service depending on your needs. Also, you can give very granular permissions on users.
Pricing is also very attractive
Pricing is also very attractive
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, actions in the GUI are seem unneccesarily complicated and can lead to confusion. Some UX improvements would be needed to fix these. It probably depends a bit on user expections though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the availability and performacne issues we had for our external (customer facing) DNS in the past. We switched over to NS1 for that part and never looked back.
NS1 has provided our company great management of our domains!
What do you like best about the product?
We have really enjoyed NS1's smart application control that is applied to our domains. As a large company, we have multiple domains and the ability to align the settings and DNS across each is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall we have really enjoyed the NS1 platform and it gets the job done, but at times it seems the platform is outdated or does not always meet the visual needs or metrics we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They are solving the DNS and traffic configuration policies we want to ensure consistency across the board. It allows consistent security policies and ease of management for global changes.
NS1 experience from DynDNS
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface. Logically laid out and solid API interface with through documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is a little on the higher side especially if you're unable to leverage all of the features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing externally facing DNS and offloading vanity domain redirections outside of our datacenter
Easy to use and fits both small and large businesses
What do you like best about the product?
We were initially worried about using NS1 as we expected the price to be too much for a business that is not yet focusing attention on its DNS. NS1 was able to come around and provide an agreement that was perfect for our light usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
We find nothing we dislike since the product is so solid. I would like to see SSO on the lower-tier plans, but it is not the world's end. We used to have issues with the login experience and frequent logouts, but things have significantly improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NS1 is helping us solve a simple problem. We have multiple domains, yet only one leading brand site having the ability to forward all domains to a single domain is such a simple yet awesome thing. We also enjoy seeing the geographic zones of users visiting our sites.
