What do you like best about the product?

Adding DataDome to our website made a significant difference and drastically reduced the number of server requests. This helped address one of our major challenges: the massive amount of bot traffic accessing our websites.

The integration of DataDome through a third-party partner was extremely simple and fast, which greatly eased the deployment and onboarding of the solution. The configuration process was also clear and efficient, and the discovery phase was particularly valuable in helping us understand our traffic and identify the main areas of concern.

With the detailed reporting available in the back office, I can easily get a clear and comprehensive view of our bot traffic, with detailed graphs, custom queries, and other useful insights. We are also able to effectively stop the crawling we were experiencing, resulting in a significant improvement in performance.

From an ROI perspective, the impact has been particularly valuable. By significantly reducing unwanted bot traffic and server requests, DataDome has helped us optimize our infrastructure usage and reduce the resources dedicated to handling this traffic. This translates into both performance gains and cost savings, while allowing our infrastructure to focus on legitimate users and business-critical traffic.

Another important benefit is the very low false-positive rate, which means there has been virtually no negative impact on our legitimate human users. The protection remains transparent to them.

DataDome’s back office also provides valuable metrics that help us better understand our traffic and the threats we are facing, including attack timelines, scraping, scalping, credential stuffing, and other types of malicious activity. These insights are extremely valuable not only for identifying and mitigating threats, but also for quantifying the impact of bot traffic and demonstrating the business value of the solution. The clear UI helps us in this way, to understand what to block and what not to, and I am using those graphics and views every day now.

Overall, DataDome has helped us improve performance, reduce unnecessary infrastructure consumption, better understand our traffic, and ultimately generate a great ROI for us.

What do you dislike about the product?

One area for improvement would be the integration of more AI-powered tools to enhance the experience, particularly by providing intelligent recommendations for configuration, blocking rules, and other security settings. So far it's not needed for a right and good functioning of Datadome.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before integrating DataDome, we were dealing with aggressive crawling across our websites. DataDome helped us identify this illegitimate traffic and block it when needed.

After the solution was activated and correctly configured, the problem was resolved. DataDome now lets us continuously monitor our traffic and proactively stop new crawling attempts, attacks, and other malicious activity before they can affect our infrastructure.

What I like most about DataDome Bot Protect is its ability to prevent credential stuffing and database abuse.

What do you dislike about the product?

The Account Protect feature generates too many false positives, causing some legitimate users to be flagged incorrectly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataDome Bot Protect provides a critical layer of protection that prevents our servers from being overwhelmed by scrapers, credential stuffing attacks, and other malicious automated traffic. This allows us to maintain service availability, reduce infrastructure costs, and ensure a better experience for legitimate users.

I've hard time to downscale a 10pts score to 5pts, 6 equals to 3 which I consider low

Lack of threat model customization by the customers technical team

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fraud and spam detection and prevention

I like having a trusted enterprise-grade bot and online fraud protection. Utilizing AI to fight AI is necessary at this day and age.

The main downside of data dome is the cost. False positives are also a concern and can cause major friction with our customers when they take place.

Data Dome is helping protect our company from the nonstop onslaught of bots that target incentive-based online businesses.

What do you like best about the product?

I find that DataDome works pretty good, and I can reliably trust it. The support is great and has been really helpful in times when we've been hit hard by bot attacks. Even when attacks weren't immediately detected, their support managed to find a way to block more sophisticated attacks quickly. The initial setup was very easy.

What do you dislike about the product?

I would like the UI experience to be better, particularly the sorting of the endpoints. I'd prefer if i could group them somehow.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

DataDome mitigates bot attacks effectively. The tool holds its ground well, and support quickly addresses sophisticated attacks. It works pretty good and the support is great, providing us reliable trust.

What do you like best about the product?

The web interface is clean and easy to use. The Bot Protect component deploys and integrates very easily with Cloudfront, while having an almost imperceptible impact on latency. AI is at the heart of the product and continuously evolves to meet different needs. The Datadome team is very present and does not hesitate to evolve the product if necessary.

What do you dislike about the product?

The Account Protect section, although very functional, requires much more work to avoid blocking legitimate users. Pricing can also be an issue. The ROI seems good for large sites, but it can be a hindrance for smaller structures.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before DataDome, managing malicious traffic regularly required manual analysis and adjustments. Today, the majority of malicious bots/users are detected and blocked automatically, improving our stability.

To be honest, there is nothing I don't like about Datadome.

Sometime engineers get blocked without reason. Whitelisting IP is not good enough for dynamic IP address

The UI can be a bit confusing at times, and it’s often hard to find what I’m looking for.

DataDome has helped us block the majority of bot traffic while maintaining a low false-positive rate. Whenever we notice a potential issue, the DataDome team is able to quickly adjust their models to address it.
