Dynatrace’s AI-Powered Observability Boosts Reliability and Speeds Troubleshooting
Reviewed on Sep 11, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Overall, my experience with Dynatrace has been very positive. It has become a critical platform for monitoring the health and performance of our applications, helping us detect issues early, troubleshoot faster, and improve service reliability. The unified observability approach along with AI-driven capabilities has reduced manual effort during incident investigations giving the team better visibility on RCA, entire technology stack etc.. It has been a valuable tool for maintaining a stable digital experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Although dashboards have improved, certain configurations and investigations still require navigating through multiple screens. 2. The platform offers many apps, but new users need significant time for training to become comfortable with features like DQL, Grail, advanced dashboard creation etc..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Unified observability: Having logs, metrics, traces, RUM, Synthetic monitoring, and infrastructure data in a single platform makes troubleshooting more efficient. 2. Root Cause Analysis - The AI driven problem detection and automatic dependency significantly reduces the time required to identify the root cause. 3. End to End visibility - The ability to trace a user transaction from browser through application, services, database etc.. provides complete visibility into application performance and customer experience. 4. Additionally, the customizable dashboards, alerting capabilities and DQL make it easier to create reports and dashboards that can be shared with leaders/stakeholders.

Comprehensive Cloud Observability Powered by Proactive AI
Reviewed on Jul 21, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace provides exceptional full-stack visibility and automated root-cause analysis. Its OneAgent deployment makes installation seamless, giving instant deep-dive insights into hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The AI engine (Davis) excels at pinpointing performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities in real time before they impact end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing and pricing model can be steep and complex, especially for large enterprise scale. Consumption-based pricing via Davis Data Units (DDUs) can sometimes make cost forecasting unpredictable as log ingestion or telemetry data increases unexpectedly across large environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace solves the challenge of maintaining full-stack visibility across complex, multi-cloud infrastructure. Before using it, tracking down issues across microservices required manual log correlation across multiple tools. With Dynatrace, automated continuous discovery and Davis AI pinpoint the exact root cause of incidents in real time, drastically reducing MTTR and minimizing downtime for critical applications.

Comprehensive Observability, Excellent AI, but Complex Pricing
Reviewed on Jul 15, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the AI-powered root cause analysis feature through Davis AI, which helps quickly identify and troubleshoot issues. I also appreciate the end-to-end observability it provides across applications, infrastructures, logs, and user experience all from a single dashboard. Features like automatic dependency mapping, real-time monitoring, and proactive alerting make it easier to detect problems early and reduce resolution time. Dynatrace gives excellent visibility into system performance and helps improve reliability and user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the licensing and pricing model complex, and it's sometimes difficult to predict as our environment scales. There's a learning curve for new users due to the large number of features and configuration options. Creating highly customized dashboards and reports can sometimes be less intuitive than expected. Improving ease of use, reporting flexibility, and cost transparency would definitely make the overall experience better. The main areas of improvement are pricing and transparency, ease of onboarding for new users, and more intuitive dashboard customization. While the platform is very powerful, simplifying access would enhance my user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dynatrace for application performance monitoring and infrastructure monitoring. It analyzes logs, detects issues proactively, performs root cause analysis, and offers end-to-end visibility. This helps reduce downtime, improve system reliability, and ensures application health, user experience, and resource utilization are well managed.

Dynatrace: Best-in-Class Monitoring with Broad Coverage and Low Overhead
Reviewed on Apr 30, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It’s one of the best monitoring tools available out there. Whatever infrastructure you need to monitor, Dynatrace has it covered—SQL, EC2, application servers, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers a solid range of metrics that you can set up to suit your needs. You can choose between a full-stack install or an infra-only setup, which is a nice option to have. Honestly, there’s nothing to hate: it doesn’t consume a lot of resources and just quietly gathers all the monitoring data with zero impact on users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is the instance down? Is the service down? Is the load on a resource reaching its threshold, or is it just unusual activity? Dynatrace helps answer all of that.

Davis AI Delivers Clear Root-Cause Insights and Real-Time User Monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
I am in love with Davis AI, which does not merely yell that something went wrong it explains why. You get a single answer as opposed to receiving 100 confusing alerts, which saves a huge amount of troubleshooting time. It follows up on what your customers are doing on your site or app in real-time. You are able to know where they are stuck or slow pages to them, which is a massive assistance in keeping users happy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is one of the most expensive tools on the market. It takes a lot of training to get your team up to speed. Getting the advanced features like custom business dashboards to work exactly how you want them requires a ton of manual effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace has been instrumental in helping us to know when our app is slow or broken before customers notice them. It has helped to save a lot of time so that we can focus on critical issues.

What do you dislike about the product?
The Costing is very expensive compared to other counterparts making it inaccessible for many small to mid sized companies. The big Giants can afford this but any new startup would have a challenge in procuring it.
The learning cuve is also complex, it requires significant training and time investment. Also for some topics and troubleshooting errors the documentation is outdated with specific frameworks so I have to use trial and error.
