Best-in-Industry Fit That Runs Smoothly Once Set Up
Reviewed on Jun 23, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It’s the best option we’ve found in the industry for meeting our needs, even though it still doesn’t fully deliver exactly what we’re looking for. The onboarding and setup process wasn’t very helpful, but now that we have it up and running, everything is fairly smooth.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to build some things ourselves, such as a reasonable pdf/print version of reports. They require all these meetings that could be async emails and weren't valuable on our side. It is sadly still too complicated of a tool to open full access to our own customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The service has also been excellent. Whenever we have a question or an issue, the people in the Thoughtspot community are consistently available to help, and they provide great customer service.

ThoughtSpot is one of the best tools on the market

What do you like best about the product?
Bridg iDR data is inherently complex because it stitches together SKU-level transaction history, offline behaviors, and enriched demographic data fields. ThoughtSpot allows business leaders, marketers, and regional managers to simply type questions like "Show me the top 5 lifestyle attributes of customers buying item X who aren't on our loyalty program" without waiting on a data engineering queue
What do you dislike about the product?
ThoughtSpot queries data directly where it lives (typically high-performance cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or AWS). Because Bridg uncovers massive volumes of non-loyalty transaction data, heavy ad-hoc querying from business users can quickly scale up cloud compute costs if query optimization and caching parameters aren't managed tightly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of creating 50 separate static dashboards to track different customer segments or campaign attribution models, teams can use ThoughtSpot’s dynamic "Liveboards" to endlessly drill down into specific audience traits or SKU performance on the fly

Simplifies Reporting, But Limited Without Native SQL for Ad-Hoc Analysis
Reviewed on May 24, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I think if implemented well, ThoughtSpot brings about a simplicity in producing reports that previous "self-service" oriented tools weren't able to provide.
What do you dislike about the product?
That you can't create a report through native SQL or similar language. Much of the functionality is dependent on a good understanding of dimensional modeling of the data without the possibility of doing ad-hoc reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ThoughtSpot solves the visualisation layer of our data stack. We chose it for it's of use - though that's dependent on the quality of the setup - and it's enterprise grade level of integration within our our portals and platforms.

Spotter Is a Huge Time Saver for Charts, Tiles, and API Integrations
Reviewed on May 15, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I think the Spotter tool is really cool at interpreting prompts and producing answers/liveboard tiles that match well with what I wanted. Huge time saver when making charts and tables. I also use the SpotterCode MCP regularly to understand and make API calls as we build out our integration - its awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much! At first I found it a little difficult to generate charts & tiles manually, but it was just a different paradigm than I'm used to. I know we had one recent workaround when it comes to displaying a duration column, but with formulas we were able to make things work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoughtspot has been able to provide the same level of reporting functionality so far as our home-built Reporting we're placing, plus more

Efficient with Visuals, But Needs More Flexibility
Reviewed on May 14, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use ThoughtSpot for surfacing data in Snowflake and enabling self-serve. It makes it much easier for non-technical users to query data and build visuals. I like the ease of building visuals and querying data, and the live search is a feature I enjoy. The automatic filter pick-up and keyword searching are also helpful. It's easier for non-technical stakeholders to build reports plus NLQ with Spotter.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the flexibility to transform data very limited and there's no way to stipulate what type of join to use. It would be useful to have more flexibility in visual types and data transformations, similar to a Power Query type layer in Power BI. Also, integrating apps built in Claude/Cursor and having the ability to plug them into live data in ThoughtSpot would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ThoughtSpot surfaces data in Snowflake, enabling self-serve access and makes it easier for non-technical users to query data and build visuals.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the Spotter feature in ThoughtSpot. Spotter helps me use NLP to get an answer to my questions, which is really helpful. The ease of use also comes from how easy it is to configure new graphs. Additionally, the initial setup of ThoughtSpot was quite easy, thanks to the help from Amit and Philipp.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use ThoughtSpot for creating business dashboards, monitoring patterns, getting quick views, and drilling into errors. The ease of use and NLP-based spotter feature make it intuitive to configure graphs and find answers to my questions.

Spotter and Spotter IQ Deliver Powerful AI Insights

What do you like best about the product?
AI / Intelligence with Spotter and Spotter IQ
What do you dislike about the product?
Liveboards/Answers aren’t as customizable as other BI tools. I’d really like to see more flexibility in creating visualizations in the future, especially when it comes to tailoring them to specific needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Thoughtspot is solving for us is enabling self-service analytics through its Spotter capability. It helps our users run their own ad hoc analyses and ask questions on their own, which is especially valuable for people who aren’t very technically savvy.
