Great tool for collaborating inputs from a wide user base. You can design the UI to suit your team and provide context to your specific use case.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any cloud based platform you are reliant on stable server uptime but support is always quick to respond.

Powerful Calculation Engine and user friendly UX

    Reviewed on Sep 03, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The calculation engine, first and foremost. One driver changes and every dependent module, dashboard, and report recalculates instantly, without dragged formulas or broken references. Dimensionality lives at the module level, so the logic remains readable long after it's built. It's a model you maintain instead of a spreadsheet you babysit. Add the newer UX enhancements, which make things noticeably easier for end users, plus solid integration with upstream and downstream systems and the recently introduced AI features, and it's a strong package. It has been pretty steep investment but the results have been sustainable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing significant. It's a well-rounded tool that covers everything I need it to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan has taken the pain out of connecting our upstream and downstream systems, so data flows in on a schedule rather than someone pulling it manually. That means the numbers are refreshed frequently and automatically, and the team is working from a current single source of truth instead of chasing versions. Performance and UX are both a step up from spreadsheets, so end users can navigate large, complex models without files slowing to a crawl or breaking. It has also cut down significantly on manual close-cycle effort and given us the audit trail and access controls that spreadsheets simply can't offer.

Flexible, Intuitive Planning with Strong Integrations and Real-Time Insights

    Reviewed on Sep 03, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really value the platform’s flexibility in translating complex business processes into scalable planning models. The UX and intuitive model-building experience help speed up development, and the strong integration capabilities make data flows simpler and more reliable. Real-time calculations, a connected planning approach, and its growing AI capabilities also support faster insights and better overall planning outcomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan’s biggest challenge is managing model size and performance as solutions scale. Complex formulas and large data volumes can require significant optimization effort. Integration setup can also be dependent on surrounding tools and expertise. The platform’s licensing cost may feel high for smaller implementations, particularly when ROI is harder to quantify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan helps replace complex Excel-based planning and disconnected processes with a centralized, auditable planning solution. For me, this means faster model development, reusable calculation logic, automated data flows, and easier scenario modelling. Features like Versioning, Actions, Imports, and UX Pages reduce manual effort, while real-time calculations allow business users to quickly assess the impact of changes across connected plans.

Powerful Multi-Dimensional Modeling from Data Input to Reporting

    Reviewed on Sep 03, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is very powerful in modelling multiple dimensions, connecting through data input, modelling, to output. We can load data in the model with a very comprehensive list, and have Anaplan modelled at the level of each list member, then consolidate in Reporting modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan is running on cloud so sometimes it is slow, or if you make a mistake, you cannot cancel it midway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company relies on Anaplan to do modelling for each of the investment instruments. Anaplan is also very quick on Scenario modelling.

Best-in-Class Data Versioning and Performance with Seamless AI Connections

    Reviewed on Sep 01, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The data handling and versioning features are the best. The UI/UX is getting better day by day and the MCP connector with AI tools helps the platform for seamless connections. The performance is great compared to any other EPM system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is little rigid when comes to development and the support can be little better but overall the team is great and the vision is also looking good for coming years with AI roadmaps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gets all the data at one place for the company and helps every plan at a single place with multi dimensions rather than in broken excel models. The price helps justify the cause and man hours saved maintaining the workbooks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To enhance the user experience, consider implementing more flexible development options and improving customer support services. Additionally, expanding AI integration could further solidify the platform's competitive edge.

Extremely Versatile and Easy to Build In

    Reviewed on Sep 01, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is extremely versatile, while still being fairly easy to use and build in. If you can think it, you can build it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Anaplan is that building out UX pages can involve a lot of repetition. It also requires extremely close attention to detail to make sure the pages are set up correctly and don’t end up with bugs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is helping our customers handle financial planning at an enterprise scale, all within a single model. Previously, they had to rely on multiple systems, handle exports to Excel, and use shared folders to collaborate with peers during the planning process. With Anaplan, all of that work is packaged into one system, which makes planning much more streamlined.
