What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Ingentis org.manager solves the challenge for us of making complex organizational structures transparent and analyzable. Instead of manually evaluating organizational charts and data in Excel or PowerPoint, we receive up-to-date and visualized information directly from our HR systems. The greatest benefit for us lies in the time savings, higher data quality, and the ability to simulate reorganizations or structural changes in advance. This way, we can support management and HR business partners with data-based analyses and strategically steer organizational development.

It is a helpful and easy-to-use visualization tool and works with a time-tested interface to SAP.

What do you dislike about the product?

The licensing model has changed, which poses challenges for users who make extensive use of the application.

Visualization of organizational structures, job architectures, Headcount & FTE reporting, HR controlling, HR analytics and planning

The tool stands out for its flexibility and robustness, and it’s backed by the vendor’s consistently reliable support model.

There are no usage metrics available, and users aren’t notified when their session times out.

The ability to simulate the future state of the org structure during reorganizations and other mass change events, along with the delivery of key metrics, helps business leaders and HR make more informed decisions.

the quick, prompt and clearly overview of the SAP personnel master data (chart)

What do you dislike about the product?

Dislike? Not really, but please could you improve the download functionalities especially for excel users and the selection of data that the user intends to download or to check. Checking data in excel can save time e.g. in the controlling department. Otherwise you have to check all the charts which can be time consuming in bigger companies e.g. regarding checking of master data changes in the context of re-organizations (sometimes the HR department presents preliminary changes to check).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

But something could be helpful in the org.manager:
Could you add an overview / list which demonstrates cost center changes of the employees in a selected time period/interval (name, cost center old/new, month, year) - based on the current SAP master data.
In our company many people have access to the org.manager on our intranet website and this could be very helpful for many people and would save a lot of time regarding the handling of company cars, travel costs, posting of invoices, creating purchase orders etc.
If such a tool already exists, please let me know.

There are so many opportunities to visualize your organizational charts. You will never get out of ideas and let your creativity run free.

The tool has a lot of helpful features, but therefore in some cases it is very complex. So sometimes it is a bit difficult to find the right way to install a new perspective. Luckily our contact person has helped us with every problem.

Sometimes you need a lot of time to find a solution for little problems. But when you have find them, the visualization is almost perfect.

What do you like best about the product?

As a system administrator I like best the org.manager's flexibility: After about ten years of experience with the org.manager we did not even once reach the point where Ingentis support had to tell us "Sorry, your request cannot be realised." Actually, sometimes I wish I could tell my colleagues with their powerful imagination which can in certain cases lead to funny ideas "Sorry, but for technical reasons we cannot meet your requirements" - but that wouldn't be true... My colleagues who are working with organisational charts provided in our intranet like most the easy overview and the high degree of usability.

What do you dislike about the product?

There's nothing to dislike at all. The only point is that the huge degree of flexibility leads to a certain system complexity (concerning the administration) so that sometimes requirements cannot be met only on an intuitive basis. However, the Ingentis support is very fast and reliable so that one easily gets help whenever tasks are too difficult to be solved on one's own. Anyway, the system complexity regards only the administration of the tool - which means that the standard user can handle the tool very easily.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We display our organisational structure in our intranet so that every one of our employees has access to it. The search feature enables everyone to find every name within the organisation - which gives a lot of orientation. Also, responsibilities can easily be found. The HR department also uses the org.manager for reporting and controlling purposes.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We process our employee's data with SAP HCM. For companies not using SAP, I cannot judge the situation. But for those who do use SAP HCM, I recommend the use of the Ingentis org.manager without hesitation.

What do you like best about the product?

The tool is flexible. The support given by Ingentis with initial configuration and when issues arise is excellent.

What do you dislike about the product?

We have not been able to solve the fact that in the print version the borders round the boxes are not shown consistently. However, as the print version is only for archive purposes this is a very minor issue.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to introduce a second Management View of our charts with Ingentis org.manager which was not possible with the software that was used previously.
