Streamlined Development Workflows in One Collaborative Workspace

    Reviewed on Aug 10, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about monday dev is how it brings product, development, and project management activities into a single, collaborative workspace. Instead of tracking work across multiple tools, teams can manage roadmaps, sprint planning, bug tracking, feature requests, and task execution in one platform, which improves visibility and reduces communication gaps.

The customizable boards and workflow automation capabilities are especially valuable. Automated updates, status changes, notifications, and task assignments help reduce manual administration and ensure development work continues moving through the pipeline without constant follow-up. This saves time and helps teams stay focused on delivering value rather than managing processes.

I also appreciate the visual project tracking and reporting features. Teams can quickly see sprint progress, development priorities, blockers, and workload distribution through dashboards and customizable views. Having real-time visibility into project status makes it easier to identify risks early and keep stakeholders informed without creating separate reports.

Another significant benefit is the platform's ability to improve cross-functional collaboration. Product managers, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders can all work from the same source of truth, which reduces misunderstandings and improves alignment on priorities. An unexpected benefit has been how easily non-technical stakeholders can follow project progress and contribute feedback without needing to learn complex development tools.

Overall, monday dev helps streamline software development workflows, improve transparency, reduce manual coordination, and keep teams aligned from planning through delivery.
What do you dislike about the product?
While monday dev is highly flexible and effective for project tracking and cross-functional collaboration, some development-specific capabilities are not as deep as those found in dedicated engineering management tools. Teams with more complex software development processes may find themselves relying on integrations with other platforms for advanced backlog management, release planning, or engineering analytics.

Another challenge is that the platform's flexibility can create a learning curve when configuring more advanced workflows. Building sprint structures, automations, dashboards, and reporting views often requires time and experimentation to ensure they align with the team's development methodology. More guided setup options and additional development-focused templates would help teams get up and running faster.

Reporting and metrics are useful, but generating deeper insights into engineering performance, cycle times, delivery trends, and team velocity can require significant customization. More out-of-the-box development analytics and AI-driven recommendations would make it easier for teams and leaders to identify risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

Additionally, as projects grow in size and complexity, boards can sometimes become difficult to manage without careful organization. Enhanced filtering, dependency visualization, and portfolio-level views would help teams maintain visibility across multiple development initiatives.

Overall, monday dev provides excellent collaboration and workflow management capabilities, but further investment in advanced engineering insights, development-specific functionality, onboarding guidance, and large-scale project management would make it even more powerful for software development teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using monday dev, our team struggled with keeping development work, project updates, stakeholder requests, and sprint planning synchronized across multiple tools. Information was often spread across emails, spreadsheets, and separate project management platforms, making it difficult to track progress, identify blockers, and maintain alignment between technical and non-technical teams.

With monday dev, we now have a centralized workspace where product roadmaps, development tasks, bug tracking, sprint activities, and project updates are managed in one place. This has given the team greater visibility into priorities, ownership, and project status, reducing confusion and minimizing the risk of tasks being overlooked.

Automated workflows have been particularly valuable. We can automate status updates, notifications, task assignments, and approval processes, which reduces manual coordination and saves several hours each week that were previously spent on administrative follow-up. Teams can spend more time focused on development work and less time managing project logistics.

The platform has also improved collaboration between developers, project managers, product owners, QA teams, and business stakeholders. Everyone has access to the same real-time information, making it easier to communicate priorities, address issues quickly, and make informed decisions. As a result, projects move forward more efficiently, and stakeholders have greater confidence in project timelines and delivery progress.

Overall, monday dev solves challenges related to fragmented project tracking, limited visibility, and inefficient coordination. The result has been better team alignment, faster issue resolution, improved accountability, and meaningful time savings through automation and centralized project management.

Monday.com Transformed Our Collaboration with Flexible Boards, Automations, and Integrations

    Reviewed on Aug 04, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using Monday.com across several areas of our organization, and it has become one of the most valuable tools we rely on for project management, process tracking, and cross-department collaboration. One of its biggest strengths is flexibility. We’ve been able to build custom boards for employee onboarding and offboarding, quality control, employee engagement initiatives, project tracking, and recognition programs—all without needing custom development.

The user interface is one of my favorite parts of the platform. Drag-and-drop functionality, customizable columns, multiple board views, and color-coded statuses make it easy to organize complex workflows while keeping everything visually intuitive. Instead of managing projects through long email chains or spreadsheets, our teams can quickly see where work stands, who owns each task, and what needs attention next. Automations have also saved countless hours by removing repetitive manual updates and notifications.

Integrations have been another major benefit. Connecting Monday.com with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and other tools has streamlined communication and reduced duplicate work. Rather than switching between multiple platforms throughout the day, more of our project information stays centralized, which makes it easier for everyone to stay aligned.

Performance has been consistently reliable, even with large boards containing hundreds of items and multiple automations running at the same time. Boards load quickly, updates happen in real time, and collaboration across departments has been smooth. Having everyone working from the same source of truth has significantly reduced confusion and missed tasks.

From a return-on-investment perspective, Monday.com has absolutely paid for itself. The time saved through automations, standardized workflows, and improved visibility has allowed our team to focus on higher-value work instead of administrative tasks. We’ve also replaced several manual tracking processes and spreadsheets with centralized, automated workflows that are easier to maintain and scale.

Onboarding was straightforward, and the extensive knowledge base, webinars, and community resources made it easy to learn more advanced features over time. Whenever we’ve needed assistance, support has been responsive and knowledgeable, helping us resolve issues quickly or find better ways to build what we were trying to accomplish.

One of the most pleasant surprises has been how adaptable the platform is. We initially implemented it for basic project management, but we’ve since expanded it to support HR processes, employee recognition, surveys, quality assurance tracking, process improvement initiatives, and reporting dashboards. As our needs have evolved, we’ve rarely felt limited by the software.

The newer AI capabilities have also been a welcome addition. AI-generated summaries, writing assistance, and intelligent workflow suggestions help reduce administrative work and make it easier to keep projects moving. While we’re still exploring everything the AI features can do, they’ve already started improving efficiency by helping us summarize updates and draft content more quickly.

Overall, Monday.com has transformed how our organization manages work. It has improved visibility across teams, reduced manual effort through automation, increased accountability, and made collaboration much more efficient. The combination of flexibility, ease of use, powerful automation, integrations, and ongoing innovation makes it a platform I would confidently recommend to organizations looking to streamline operations and strengthen team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Monday dev is the inability to have information shared across boards consistently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monday Dev has helped us solve one of our biggest challenges: keeping projects, requests, and communication organized in a single place. Before using it, we relied heavily on emails, spreadsheets, and manual follow-ups, which made it easy for tasks to get overlooked or for people to work from outdated information.

Now we have a centralized workspace where everyone can see project status, priorities, ownership, and deadlines in real time. Features like automations, status tracking, dependencies, dashboards, and customizable workflows have significantly reduced the manual effort needed to keep projects moving forward.

For me, the biggest benefit has been improved visibility and accountability. Instead of spending time chasing updates or putting reports together, I can quickly see where each project stands and spot bottlenecks before they turn into bigger issues. Automated notifications and task assignments also help ensure work doesn’t fall through the cracks, so our team can spend more time completing projects and less time managing them.

Overall, Monday Dev has strengthened collaboration, increased efficiency, and provided a more streamlined and transparent way to manage our work.

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for monday.com is CRM and people management. Most of what we use is as a CRM.

One specific example of how I use monday.com for CRM and people management is that one of our clients has a business process that can get a lead from Facebook. I use monday.com to integrate their Meta account so they can get their leads from Facebook to monday.com and nurture their customer inside monday.com.

    What is most valuable?

One of the best features I created in monday.com is the automations. The leads can automatically go to another board and proceed to another pipeline in monday.com.

In my opinion, the best features monday.com offers are the AI, then automation and the workflow. This helps business processes to be seamless.

I have seen specific outcomes or metrics improve, including time saved, better team collaboration, and other measurable results in work management and our team's work.

    What needs improvement?

I think monday.com can be improved by having more integration to other applications. Integration is needed because some of our clients want to have a native integration in their monday.com and existing application.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

In my experience, monday.com is stable. I like monday.com and love using it because it is a friendly user application.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

monday.com's scalability is great. monday.com can handle our needs, especially in project management tasks.

How are customer service and support?

For monday.com support, I think they need to explain more deeply in the product knowledge.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used Freshdesk ticket before monday.com because they did not have automation like monday.com. monday.com is friendly, unlike Freshdesk.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with monday.com, specifically time saved. Because of the automation, and money saved because some of our revenue has become increasing.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

I have experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for monday.com.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We did not evaluate other options before choosing monday.com. We just chose monday.com.

What other advice do I have?

If you're looking for something that can help you in project management or CRM, monday.com is what you need. monday.com is the best, and I would rate monday.com a nine out of ten because some of the features, particularly integration, need improvement so other clients or users can use monday.com seamlessly.
