What I like best about Zimperium MAPS is its comprehensive runtime protection for mobile applications without affecting app performance or user experience. Features like RASP, root/jailbreak detection, anti-tampering, and threat intelligence provide strong security against evolving mobile threats. The interface is intuitive, integration is straightforward, and the actionable insights help security teams respond quickly. Overall, it delivers excellent value by strengthening mobile application security while remaining easy to deploy and manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area that could be improved is the pricing, which may be challenging for smaller organizations with limited security budgets. The dashboard could also offer more customization options for reporting and threat visualization. While integration is generally smooth, additional out-of-the-box integrations with third-party security tools and more AI-driven recommendations for prioritizing risks would further enhance the platform. Overall, these are minor improvements to an otherwise strong mobile application security solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zimperium MAPS helps us protect mobile applications against threats such as reverse engineering, app tampering, rooted/jailbroken devices, malware, and runtime attacks. Before implementing it, securing mobile apps against evolving threats required multiple tools and manual effort. With MAPS, we have a single platform that provides continuous protection, actionable threat intelligence, and better visibility into mobile risks. This has improved our security posture, reduced response time to threats, and increased confidence in the security of our mobile applications.

Comprehensive Mobile App Protection with Seamless Integration

    Reviewed on Jul 15, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What stands out most about Zimperium MAPS is its comprehensive runtime application protection and ease of integration into existing Android and iOS applications. Features like RASP, app shielding, root/jailbreak detection, anti-tampering, anti-debugging, and threat detection provide strong protection against mobile attacks without impacting app performance. The centralized dashboard makes it easy to monitor security events, while over-the-air policy updates allow security configurations to be enhanced without requiring a new app release. Overall, it helps strengthen mobile application security while maintaining a smooth user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is feature-rich, the initial setup and policy configuration require a good understanding of mobile application security. Some advanced settings have a learning curve, and the documentation could include more implementation examples for common use cases. The dashboard is comprehensive but could be more intuitive when navigating detailed threat analytics. Faster technical support responses and additional SDK integration samples would further improve the onboarding experience for new teams. Overall, these are minor areas for improvement and do not outweigh the strong security capabilities that MAPS provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zimperium MAPS helps us protect our mobile applications against runtime threats such as rooting, jailbreaking, app tampering, reverse engineering, malware, and dynamic instrumentation attacks. Before implementing MAPS, it was difficult to gain visibility into threats targeting devices in the field. With its runtime protection, app shielding, and real-time threat detection, we can identify and respond to security risks more effectively while ensuring a secure experience for users. It has also helped us strengthen compliance requirements, reduce security risks, and deploy updated security policies without requiring frequent application releases.

Strong Mobile Security with Granular Controls and OTA Policy Updates

    Reviewed on Jul 13, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Zimperium MAPS for its strong security protections against malicious activities, as well as the granular controls it provides over application behavior. These controls allow us to customize the application’s response to detected threats, such as displaying a pop-up warning, shutting down the application, or applying both actions. I also value the over-the-air (OTA) policy update capability, which enables us to modify and deploy security policies without having to redeploy the entire application.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation I encountered with Zimperium zConsole is that it can export a maximum of only 10,000 records at a time. For larger datasets, we are required to use the REST API, which can be challenging for users without a development background and may require additional technical resources to implement.

Another limitation is the lack of support for Huawei HarmonyOS NEXT, which may restrict deployment options for organizations that need to support devices running this operating system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zimperium MAPS helps us protect our application against a wide range of malicious activities, including application tampering, reverse engineering, code injection, and unauthorized access. By detecting and responding to these threats in real time, it reduces the risk of data breaches, protects sensitive user information, and helps maintain customer trust. In addition, its configurable security policies and automated threat responses allow us to strengthen application security without significantly affecting the user experience, while also reducing the amount of manual monitoring and intervention required from our security and development teams.

Zimperium MAPS: A Powerful All-in-One Platform for Mobile AppSec

    Reviewed on Jul 10, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Zimperium MAPS has been an absolute lifesaver for mobile app security integrations. Rather than forcing me to stitch together multiple tools for scanning, code hardening, and runtime protection, it brings everything together in one seamless platform. The standout for me is its machine-learning engine, which helps apps detect and block threats in real time—even when devices are offline. Overall, it’s powerful and comprehensive, and it dramatically simplifies mobile AppSec operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Zimperium MAPS delivers top-tier, consolidated mobile security, it can also create meaningful operational friction for engineering teams. The initial onboarding comes with a steep learning curve, and the setup process often requires highly complex, manual configuration. On top of that, the combination of heavy code obfuscation and completely scramble production crash logs. In practice, this adds extra layers of troubleshooting to otherwise standard developer pipelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zimperium MAPS tackles the critical issue of mobile threat fragmentation—the risky gap that emerges when teams depend on separate, disconnected tools for pre-release testing, code obfuscation, and runtime threat defense. By bringing these capabilities together into a single platform that spans the full app lifecycle, MAPS helps prevent hackers from reverse-engineering binaries, stealing exposed cryptographic keys, or exploiting apps on compromised (rooted/jailbroken) user devices. For development and security teams, the main advantage is unified, automated visibility and coverage from build through runtime, without having to stitch together multiple point solutions.

What do you like best about the product?
As a MAPS user, what I like most is how effectively it protects our organization's mobile devices without affecting the user experience. The solution runs quietly in the background and continuously monitors for mobile threats such as phishing, malicious apps, network attacks, and device compromise, giving us confidence that our users are protected wherever they work.

One of the biggest advantages is the real-time visibility into mobile security risks. The dashboard makes it easy to identify affected devices, understand the severity of threats, and take action quickly. This has significantly improved our ability to respond to incidents before they impact the business.

I also appreciate that MAPS works seamlessly with our existing security ecosystem. The integration with our enterprise security tools helps our security team automate responses and maintain a consistent security posture across the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, my experience with MAPS has been positive. If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be the reporting and dashboard customization. While the available information is useful, having more flexibility to create customized dashboards and reports for different teams would make it even more convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MAPS has helped us strengthen our mobile security by giving us better visibility into the risks affecting corporate and BYOD devices. As more employees work remotely and access business applications from their smartphones, having continuous protection has become essential. MAPS helps us identify potential threats such as phishing attempts, malicious applications, insecure Wi-Fi networks, and device compromise before they can impact our users or business.
