Dr. Werner Vogels is Chief Technology Officer at where he is responsible for driving the company's customer-centric technology vision.

As one of the forces behind Amazon's approach to cloud computing, he is passionate about helping young businesses reach global scale, and transforming enterprises into fast-moving digital organisations.

Vogels joined Amazon in 2004 from Cornell University where he was a distributed systems researcher. He has held technology leadership positions in companies that handle the transition of academic technology into industry. Vogels holds a PhD from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and has authored many articles on distributed systems technologies for enterprise computing


As the Chief Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services, Glenn is responsible for creating architectural best practices and working with customers on how they use the cloud and innovation to transform their own businesses or disrupt new markets.

Glenn has held previous roles in AWS, most recently as Head of Architecture for Asia Pacific and EMEA for Amazon Web Services where he managed regional teams working in the fastest growing region. Glenn has experience in working in mature and emerging markets, helping customers use the latest advancements to give them a competitive edge.

Glenn is a hands on technologist with more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining AWS, Glenn was the CTO of WebCentral where he worked on highly scalable web platforms and big-data systems for customers. He also held roles at Ozemail and UUNET the world’s largest network provider.

Glenn has worked in engineering, R&D and technology leadership roles working with customers such as Facebook, Twitter, NASA and working on projects such as the Hadron super collider, interplanetary networking and large scale distributed systems. Glenn is passionate about his customers and about technology and how it is changing how we live and work.


Brian was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Westpac Group in February 2015. Brian joined Westpac as Chief Executive, Australian Financial Services in June 2012 encompassing Westpac Retail & Business Banking, St.George Banking Group and BT Financial Group.

He’s a Director of the Australian Bankers' Association and was formerly the Chairman until December 2015. Prior to joining Westpac, Brian spent three years in the UK as CEO for Retail, Wealth and Ulster Bank at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Prior to that, he spent ten years with ANZ in Australia in a variety of roles, including his final role as CEO, Australia and Global Segment Lead for Retail and Wealth. Before joining ANZ, Brian spent ten years as a financial services consultant in New York, San Francisco, and Melbourne.

Brian graduated from Princeton University with a degree in European History and is a Chartered Financial Analyst 


Scott Farquhar is the co-founder and co-CEO of Atlassian, a collaboration software company that helps teams organise, discuss and complete shared work. More than 65,000 large and small organisations use Atlassian’s tracking, collaboration, communication, service management and development products to work smarter and deliver quality results on time.

Atlassian donates 1% of profit, product, equity and employee time to charity, helping thousands of children in developing countries receive an education. In 2011, Scott was awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility Award by the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). In 2015, Scott helped spearhead Pledge 1%, a corporate philanthropy movement dedicated to making the community a key stakeholder in every business. To date, more than 1,500 companies around the world have joined the movement.

Scott was the youngest person ever to be awarded the ‘Australian Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2006 by Ernst & Young alongside co-founder and co-CEO Mike Cannon-Brookes. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business information technology from the University of New South Wales, Australia.


James Scott is the Group Executive Director – Technology & Innovation at Seven Group Holdings (SGH). James is responsible for driving innovation and the execution of technology, processes and systems across SGH’s operating companies including WesTrac, Coates Hire and Seven West Media. The role has a focus on driving incremental and revolutionary innovation, through identifying opportunities through technology disruption, incubation and scale-up activities. The role includes supporting new investment opportunities and continued performance management across the operating companies.

Prior to SGH, James was a Partner in KPMG’s Business Performance and Technology division and also held the position of Partner and Managing Director in Accenture where he worked for 14 years.

James is a board member of WesTrac Australia and Coates Hire and is a non-executive director and Chairman of ASX listed, SkyFii, a retail analytics company.

James is a Fellow of Engineers Australia, FIEAust CPEng, a member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


Sharyn Smith is the CEO and Founder of Social Soup, Australia’s largest, award-winning, influencer marketing company. Social Soup has pioneered the influencer marketplace for 10 years and conducted 500+ influencer campaigns, giving unparalleled experience spanning a vast number of categories from beauty, FMCG, banking, alcohol, technology, fashion and pharmaceuticals - along with many not for profit organisations.

Sharyn is an experienced lecturer, public speaker and authority on Influence, Social Strategy, and Entrepreneurship. Her company Social Soup is a BRW Fast Starter and winner of the Telstra Business Awards People’s Choice.


Rod Drury is the founder and CEO of Xero, the leading global cloud accounting solution for small business and their advisors with more than 860,000 subscribers in 180 countries. Rod was 2013 EY New Zealand Entrepreneur of the Year, World Class New Zealander of the Year for ICT in 2008, and Honorary Fellow of the Institute of IT Professionals NZ. Xero was ranked No.1 by Forbes as the World's Most Innovative Growth Company two years running, while Canstar Blue rated Xero Australia's best accounting software in 2015 and 2016.


Prior to advising and later joining Mojo as COO/CIO, Phil held roles as Chief Technologist and Strategist at HP Enterprise, CIO of Australian Power and Gas Ltd, CTO at Seven Network Limited/Vividwireless, and CTO of ubowireless Pty Ltd.

Phil is a business-technology veteran of 30 years with experience in energy, retail, media, telecommunications, and aerospace industries. Phil graduated from the University of Newcastle with BE(Hons) in Computer Engineering, and Deakin University with a GradDip in Technology Management. He is a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of Engineers Australia, authored several international patents, and is a recipient of 5 National Engineering Excellence awards including the prestigious Bradfield award.

Phil specialises in business strategy and competitive edge built on technology innovation, and pretends to have an awesome motorcycle collection.


From an early start programming on the Commodore 64, Scott has spent the past twenty years in leadership and technical roles across government, animal welfare, finance, electrical utilities, transportation and mining industries.

His AWS experience began in 2012 with the Queensland-based electrical distributor Ergon Energy, successfully leading a cloud migration of the internationally recognised and award-winning Roames virtual world and intelligent asset monitoring service.

Since acquired by the Dutch-based multi-national Fugro, Roames supports Ergon Energy's 740,000 customers to keep the lights on with unprecedented visibility of their asset base and the surrounding environment, providing vegetation and asset integrity monitoring of over 160,000 kilometres of overhead powerline network across Queensland with an operating area of over one million kilometres.
