Miriam is Director of Enterprise Strategy and Evangelism at Amazon Web Services (AWS). She is part of a senior executive team that works alongside customer executives to define technology strategies, share experiences and approaches to increase speed and agility, drive innovation, and create new operating models using the cloud to enable growth and a greater focus on their customers.
Miriam has over 35 years of experience in business and technology leadership positions. Prior to joining Amazon, Miriam was the Chief Information Officer, Corporate, at The Coca-Cola Company. In this role, she provided leadership across the global enterprise on all technology matters in support the global geographic markets and functions such as global marketing; consumer/commercial leadership; product R&D; science; manufacturing; human resources; legal; sustainability; public affairs; and strategic security. Miriam had diverse roles throughout her career at Coke starting in Global Finance Division working to improve global results reporting and consolidation and then taking a leadership role in Global Marketing leading Business Intelligence and Data Analytics for Coke globally. She joined the Global Information Technology leadership team to drive global technology strategy and platforms. She retired from Coke at the end of 2016 and joined AWS in 2017.
Miriam started her career in business and technology consulting at Accenture. Miriam spent 6 years as a banking industry consultant with Accenture working with large banks in the US as they consolidated platform functions and credit card processing capabilities. She received her B.S., Business Administration with concentration in Accounting/MIS from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
