Novetta Entity Analytics
Entity Analytics runs on an EC2 instance and launches an AWS Elastic MapReduce (EMR) cluster to perform large scale processing using S3 as the Hive warehouse and either AWS Glue or a MySql RDS instance as the Hive metastore. The user may control the cluster size of the EMR cluster; however, Entity Analytics requires a minimum of 2 nodes (1 master and 1 core) to operate.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
Version release notes
Batch process billions of disparate data records for entity resolution with AFS Entity Analytics, a high throughput entity resolution toolkit from Accenture Federal Services. Analyze, augment, and entity resolve your messy data for the next stage of your data pipeline.

Usage instructions
If the AWSServiceRoleForEMRCleanup IAM Role does not yet exist in your account, it can be created manually in the IAM console. Alternatively, a user with IAM access can launch an EMR to have this Role added automatically. For more details see: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/emr/latest/ManagementGuide/using-service-linked-roles.html

Fill in the CloudFormation parameters and create the CloudFormation stack.
-
An EC2 instance will be launched with a running Entity Analytics Web UI.
-
After the CloudFormation stack is created you must update the security group attached to the Entity Analytics Web UI EC2 to open port 5000 to inbound connections.
-
The Entity Analytics Web UI will be available at: http://<EC2 Instance IP or DNS Name>:5000. You can log in with the username/password you provided when filling out the CloudFormation template.
