Targeted learning paths have built advanced cloud skills and increased team confidence

    Reviewed on Jun 18, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I mainly use Coursera for Business  for team training and to get new certifications and skills.

A quick specific example of how my team used Coursera for Business  for training or certifications is to focus on cloud and systems administration.

I have used Coursera for Business to prepare our IT engineering team for migrating and managing workloads in a hybrid environment. Multiple teams have used it for this purpose.

    What is most valuable?

The best features that Coursera for Business offers, in my opinion, are the professional certificates and the pre-built learning paths.

What I appreciated most about the professional certificates and pre-built learning paths is the focus on flexibility and the reduction in admin overrides.

Coursera for Business has positively impacted my organization by helping to fill skills gaps and raising the team's confidence.

    What needs improvement?

Coursera for Business can be improved by focusing on deeper LMS  integration and automation.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Coursera for Business for approximately two months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    Coursera for Business is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

From an infrastructure standpoint, Coursera for Business handles scalability seamlessly, largely because its core architecture is built as a public cloud-native platform.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is very good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution before Coursera for Business.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Coursera for Business because we have saved time since employees can take the courses within their working hours from their computers or laptops. Additionally, we have decreased the number of required employees because we have highly skilled employees.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that we have taken the Teams Plan from five persons to 125 seats, costing approximately $400 per user for one year.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Coursera for Business, I evaluated other options and vetted enterprise-grade learning and development platforms such as Udemy Business  and LinkedIn Learning . I found that Coursera for Business is better than these alternatives.

What other advice do I have?

I would recommend that others who are thinking about using Coursera for Business should negotiate the license recycle rate and not launch to everyone at once. Instead, they should consider using phased cohorts. Based on my experience, I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.

Continuous learning has boosted our certifications and project-ready skills across teams

What is our primary use case?

I use Coursera for Business  for upskilling and certifications. I have used Coursera for Business  for Java, Core Java development, and Spring Boot  and microservices learning for our project. We use Coursera for Business for learning these technologies so we can utilize and leverage it in the current project.

    What is most valuable?

Coursera for Business is an enterprise learning platform that helps organizations upskill and reskill employees through online courses, professional certificates, hands-on labs, and learning paths from leading universities and companies. It offers access to over 10,000 courses and content from providers such as Google, IBM, Microsoft, and top universities. The key features include the large catalog of business, technology, data science, AI, cloud, and leadership courses, professional certificates, and industry-recognized credentials.

I personally find it good for learning certifications as a professional, and it leverages my skills for career growth. It has custom learning paths for employees, hands-on labs, guided projects, and integrates with SSO  and enterprise learning systems, and mobile learning support. The benefits for businesses are that it accelerates employee upskilling and reskilling. It helps organizations build AI, core, cloud, cybersecurity, and data skills. It enables learning at scale across global teams.

It offers flexible, self-paced learning, high-quality content from leading universities and companies, strong analytics and reporting, and recognized certifications. Coursera for Business positively impacts my organization by improving productivity and employee satisfaction. If an employee does not know a technology, they can easily leverage Coursera for Business, learn that technology, and contribute to the project.

    What needs improvement?

Coursera for Business is a strong learning platform, but it could be improved by offering more role-specific learning paths, enhanced AI-driven personalized recommendations, deeper hands-on project experience, better customization options for administrators, and more interactive assessments. Bulk tracking of skill progression would also add value. Additionally, expanding industry-specific content and providing more real-world case studies could further enhance the learning experience for employees and the organization.

Areas for improvement include more personalized learning recommendations, strong hands-on labs, enhanced reporting and analytics, better role-based learning paths, and additional industry-specific content.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working for five years in my current field.

The platform delivers a strong, measurable return on investment.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Coursera for Business is really good and I received a response before the expected time.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Earlier, we were using Google Cloud  certificates. The company decided to switch to Coursera for Business because it provides a huge number of courses for a smaller amount and less investment.

    How was the initial setup?

From my understanding of the setup cost and Coursera for Business in our organization, it offers good value for organizations looking to upskill employees at scale. The pricing is competitive, considering the extensive catalog of courses, professional certificates, and content from leading universities and technology companies. The overall value proposition is strong, especially for organizations focused on continuous learning and workforce development. The setup cost is relatively straightforward and does not typically require significant infrastructure investment since the platform is cloud-based. Organizations can onboard users quickly, configure learning paths, and integrate with SSO  and enterprise systems with minimal effort. The primary cost is subscription-based licensing rather than implementation or hardware expenses.

    What was our ROI?

Through Coursera for Business, we have saved a lot of money, and it gives many advantages to our organization. By learning new technologies, we can leverage those skills, upgrade our company, and generate a high level of value. Coursera for Business delivers a strong return on investment by helping organizations upskill and reskill employees efficiently. The platform reduces the need for expensive classroom training while providing access to high-quality courses, certifications, and learning paths. Employees can learn at their own pace with improved productivity and skill development without significant disruptions to daily work.

Structured learning has built new AI and data skills and supports role-based career growth

    Reviewed on Jun 07, 2026
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Coursera for Business  is professional upskilling, structured learning, and certification-oriented courses. My experience is mainly from the learner side, but the same learning experience is relevant to Coursera for Business  because employees use it for skill development, role-based learning, and career growth.

    What is most valuable?

The best features Coursera for Business offers include the quality and structure of the courses, which are clear and passionate. Coursera courses also have professional certification from well-known universities and companies. I have taken a course with Michigan University, and multiple universities provide credible certifications. I value the guided structure that includes videos, quizzes, graded assignments, projects, and certificates. Professional  certification and specialization are useful because they group multiple courses into a clear path, which is better for career-focused learning.

Coursera for Business has positively impacted my organization by helping us learn in a more structured and disciplined way. Instead of relying only on YouTube videos or blogs, I can follow complete courses designed by top universities and subject matter experts. It has built skills in technologies such as AI, data, cloud, and business. The certification shows continuous learning and can enhance resumes on LinkedIn profiles, helping organizations build employee capability in a scalable way.

Coursera for Business is stable and reliable for online learning, with video playbacks, progress tracking, quizzes, assignments, and mobile access working well. I have not faced major reliability issues; the platform suits self-paced learning as I can pause, resume, revisit content, and learn from anywhere in the world.

    What needs improvement?

In terms of improvement, I believe hands-on projects can be more practical. Some courses are excellent, but others are theory-heavy, especially for technical topics such as cloud programming and cybersecurity; more real-world labs would strengthen learning. Additionally, course discovery can improve, as finding the best courses for specific goals can be difficult.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for the last three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Coursera for Business is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Coursera for Business is suitable for large-scale employee learning, offering structured courses, skill tracks, certifications, and learning paths across multiple domains. The platform highlights skill tracks for areas such as data, machine learning, IT, and GenAI, which are useful for enterprise upskilling.

How are customer service and support?

I have not needed much customer support since the learner experience is straightforward; enrolling in courses, completing assignments, and downloading certificates are easy to manage. However, support is more important for administrators managing users, reporting, integrations, and enterprise-level access, so the platform is easy enough that support is rarely needed.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used Udemy Business  and LinkedIn Learning  before using Coursera for Business; Coursera for Business stands out for structured, university-backed, and company-backed learning, especially for complete course specializations and professional certification.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Coursera for Business as considerable time has been saved for multiple employees who no longer gather courses from YouTube or other websites; they can easily get relevant courses from Coursera for Business and learn the topics efficiently.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Coursera for Business, I evaluated Udemy Business , LinkedIn Learning , and EDX for Business, and I opted for Coursera for Business because of the structured way of courses and the fact that university-backed courses are available.

What other advice do I have?

Recently, I have learned three courses from Coursera for Business. The first one was from Meta about Django learning, which helped me learn full-stack API development. The best part was learning statistics and probability from Stanford. These courses improved my skills in my current field as a GenAI engineer.

The outcome I have seen is that approximately two to three lakh employees have upskilled themselves using Coursera for Business.

I advise others looking into using Coursera for Business to set clear learning goals, as the platform is most effective when learners follow a structured path instead of randomly taking unrelated courses. Creating role-based learning paths for job titles such as AI engineer, data analyst, and project manager can help employees choose the right courses and improve completion rates.

I rate this product an eight out of ten.

I have used Coursera for Business  to help our organization and professionals. Our staff in the office have been enrolled on the platform for trainings in their field to sharpen their skills. Coursera for Business  serves our role as data professionals; we have data scientists, data analysts, and data engineers, and we enroll our staff and team members to take courses and trainings that will help them enhance their ability and capability on their day-to-day job roles as data professionals.

Our data team, about two or three people, have been enrolled on Coursera for Business, especially for the course on statistics, introduction to statistics, and also some machine learning courses on AI and AI for businesses, particularly for their data roles. They have taken several courses and trainings.

    What is most valuable?

Coursera for Business offers excellent modules, self-paced learning features, high-quality videos, and exceptional sound and facilitators.

The self-paced learning of Coursera for Business helps our staff by enabling them to plan their learning and ensuring that it does not interfere with their day-to-day job. They can easily take time out, perhaps during the weekends, to continue with their courses, and this does not affect their deliverables on their job.

Coursera for Business has helped our organization in the sense that it helps us to be more competitive as staff and as data professionals. We are able to use data more to provide data-driven decisions for the business and help the business to improve processes, automate our processes, the way we do business, and the way we solve problems in the healthcare space by using what we have learned from the courses on Coursera for Business.

Coursera for Business has positively impacted our organization by helping us to be more competitive in the AI space, especially in the healthcare space and health tech. It has helped us to improve on our processes, refine our features, our products, our chatbot, text-to-speech, and other elements. It has helped us to stay up to speed with the happenings in the AI space.

    What needs improvement?

Coursera for Business can improve by ensuring they are at the top of their game and up to speed by getting customer feedback and user feedback while making sure to improve on it. Another thing they can do is ensure that the courses are relevant based on the happenings in the AI space, machine learning space, and other areas.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The accuracy and reliability of output from Coursera for Business is excellent and top-notch. I have not had any issue, nor have any of my students had any issue where they input particular information and then received a wrong output. The output is top-notch, and there is no issue of hallucination or misinterpretation.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Coursera for Business has been scalable in the sense that we have more numbers of staff enrolled on the platform. It is not only the data team now; we have other teams, including engineering, product, research, and clinical teams that are enrolled. The number of students or learners that have been enrolled in the company has been on the increase from when I joined the company to now.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Coursera for Business is excellent and top-notch.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I am not aware if the company used a prior solution before I joined. Since I have joined, they have been on board Coursera for Business before I joined the company, so I cannot say I know of any prior solution the company was using.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I want to believe they evaluated other options before I joined the company; they have already been on Coursera for Business before I joined the company.

What other advice do I have?

For the staff that have taken the courses on Coursera for Business, they perform much better when it comes to productivity and efficiency rate compared to other staff that have not enrolled. The business has experienced turnover in the number of downloads on our app, then the user-friendliness, which boils down to the way we have used data to improve the features, improve the user experience, and the graphic user interface.

Coursera for Business has included on their platform the assurance that all the data and information on that platform are secured and well protected. There are data protection regulations, so the governance and security is up to par.

I would tell others looking into using Coursera for Business that it is the right platform to be on if they want competitiveness and the best. I rate this product an 8 overall.

What do you like best about the product?
Industry-recognised certifications truly set Coursera for Business apart. Credentials earned from institutes like John Hopkins or Google really add weight to our performance reviews and audits. It also offers an extensive course library with well-structured learning paths, from beginner to advanced levels. We can complete each module at our own pace and on our own time, which makes it easy to fit learning into our schedule.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced courses related to the pharma field are limited. Some of the available courses feel low quality and don’t add much value.
