Pricing scales with the compute capacity of each instance. Smaller instances like t2.large or m3.large carry a lower hourly rate, while larger instances like m4.16xlarge carry a higher rate. You select one instance type to match your workload. There are no upfront commitments; billing accrues per hour of use.

Each dimension maps to an EC2 instance type with a set amount of CPU and memory. The t2 and t3 families fit variable or lighter workloads. The m3 and m4 families offer more memory and compute for steady, heavier use. Pick the type that matches your workload size.
The software charge meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance accrues no hourly software fee. You pay only for the hours the instance runs. Note that stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees separate from this software charge.
The hourly charge covers running the software on your chosen instance. Hossted offers separate enterprise support plans with options like 24x7 availability, defined response times by severity, remote screen-sharing sessions, and a dedicated technical account manager. These support tiers are arranged with the vendor and are not part of the hourly rate.

After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). The machine is accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. Where relevant, app login credentials are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
