What do you like best about the product?
Mendix is a great piece of software. It makes the creation of applications so much easier than with other tools. And the security features causes your app to always be secure, which is of course also great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit expensive so I don't think it's always profitable to use Mendix for B2C apps for example

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about the Mendix platform is that it accelerates the speed of software development.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the things that I dislike about the Mendix platform is inability to run asynchronous operations efficiently and effectively. It's possible, I'll grant Mendix that, but I do think that there's a lot to improve to make it useful in production environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm predominantly solving business problems for client organizations. What we typically see is where an organization will typically or actually have a spreadsheet to administer some information, manage it and draw insights from it. We can do it better, more effectively and more user friendly than a canvas of rows, columns and cells. This is benefitting me in the sense that I get to solve these issues.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how it allows people who do not necessarily have knowledge and skills to be working in web development, to still participate and learn the necessary skills and gain the necessary knowledge.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is low-code, which is nice for the reasons described above but also means there sometimes are limitations that are difficult to work around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows relatively fast development, which benefits the organisation works for of course.

What is our primary use case?
My main use case with Mendix is building enterprise applications that automate and standardize business processes, with a focus on speed, reliability, and secure delivery.
I built an internal management app using Mendix where employees could register tasks, track approvals, and generate status reports.
Besides workflow and task management apps, I've also used Mendix for reporting dashboards and process automation tools.
What is most valuable?
The best features Mendix offers in my experience are fast development speed and strong security for enterprise apps.
The development speed of Mendix stands out mainly because of the visual modeling tools and reusable components, which reduce repetitive work and accelerate delivery. For security, I value the built-in authentication, role-based access control, and data protection features, which make enterprise apps safer without needing heavy custom setup.
I'd highlight Mendix's integration options, which make it easy to connect with APIs and external systems. Also, the mobile capabilities are helpful for quick cross-platform delivery, even though native customization has some limits.
Mendix has sped up delivery for my clients, especially for repetitive or standardized business processes. It also improved reliability and security, reduced manual errors, and enabled faster deployment of internal tools and dashboards.
On a recent project, using Mendix cut development time by about 40-50% compared to traditional coding for a workflow app.
What needs improvement?
Mendix could improve in customization and UI, UX flexibility, native mobile development, and agile tooling for developers.
I've noticed that longer processes can be hard to read and maintain, and some UI, UX adjustments are restrictive.

I believe it's an average return. It's worth it for the agility and the patricity, but nothing that's very different from any other low-code platform, in my opinion.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I evaluated OutSystems and Microsoft Power Apps before choosing Mendix, mainly comparing speed, integration capabilities, and suitability for enterprise applications.
What other advice do I have?
I would advise others to use Mendix for standardized business applications where speed and security are priorities, but be aware of its limitations in UI/UX customization and native development.
Mendix is excellent for rapid, secure enterprise app development, but improving UI/UX flexibility, native integration, and developer tooling would make it even stronger.
My overall rating for Mendix is 5 out of 10.

What is our primary use case?
For the past four months, I have been using Mendix low-code platform, and my main use case involves building standardized business applications.
What is most valuable?
My experience has been very positive. Mendix stands out for its speed and efficiency, especially for standardized business applications, and its integration with Java and JavaScript allows extending functionality beyond typical low-code limitations.
One of its biggest strengths is strong security, which gives confidence when working on enterprise solutions. For repetitive processes or common business needs, Mendix speeds up delivery without sacrificing reliability.
What needs improvement?
Customization is limited compared to traditional coding, and UI adjustments can feel restrictive. Native development is not very strong, and some developer tools are missing, such as shortcuts to edit multiple variables. This can make long processes slower and more complex.

I have been using Mendix low-code platform for the past four months.
What other advice do I have?
