Dimensions summary
You buy Data Center Proxies through five prepaid packages: PRELUDE, STARTER, PRODUCTION, PLUS, and ENTERPRISE. Each package sets a fixed dollar commitment, ranging from smaller to larger amounts. Within each package you 'mix and match' two usage units: price per IP and price per GB of bandwidth. The per-IP and per-GB rates drop as the package commitment increases, so larger commitments carry lower unit rates. You draw down your prepaid balance against actual IP and bandwidth usage, choosing how to split spending between the two units to fit your workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each IP unit maps to one datacenter proxy address that routes your traffic through a server to change your location. You choose shared or dedicated IPs when setting up a zone. Dedicated IPs give you exclusive use, and static datacenter IPs can be kept for as long as you need them.
Bandwidth counts the sum of data sent to and from the target site: request headers, request data, response headers, and response data. Each IP includes a 100 GB monthly fair usage allowance. If you exceed that bandwidth, additional charges may apply. You can set daily spend limits by bandwidth or dollars.
You draw down one prepaid balance against both units. The per-IP and per-GB rates are fixed within each package. Whether IP or bandwidth charges dominate depends on your workload. Heavy IP usage draws the balance through the IP rate; heavy data transfer draws it through the GB rate. Both bill against the same package.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Bright Data is easy to use, making it simple to set up the scraping process for both technical and non-technical users. The support system is good, with a dedicated partnership manager to speak with. I appreciate that the outputs are in files that can be used in any software, like Excel or Google Sheets, so it’s easy to sort them without losing any information. I also enjoy the drag-and-drop simplicity and the availability of pre-built scrapers, which save time and reduce the need for programming knowledge. The convenience and ease of use are very beneficial to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything particularly about Bright Data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bright Data helps me scrape large scale Zillow data reliably and outputs structured data easily. Its ease of use with pre-built scrapers and drag-and-drop simplicity ensures my team can use it quickly, saving us time and making file management straightforward.

What do you like best about the product?
I really find Bright Data helpful for obtaining data in a more accessible way. The data is affordable and of high quality, which makes it ideal for my research. I also appreciate their customer service, which is very thoughtful and meets you where you are. It’s very helpful to have appropriate filters for data to ensure thorough, detailed, and accurate analyses. The ease of setup was great too, largely because their customer service team was very open and available to answering questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While filters can be really helpful, it is sometimes difficult to effectively sort through the data and clean it. I think this is a problem for broader data handling in general, too. It would be really helpful if Bright Data could make the cleaning process easier. I've been really happy with my experience with them, but improving the data cleaning process would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Bright Data provides accessible, affordable data, making it easier to access rich and meaningful data for research without high costs.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very intuitive to use, while also offering different products such as ready-to-use datasets and web scrapers that allow you to build your own dataset, customized to your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ready-to-use datasets could be updated more frequently, and the web scraper could offer a bit more customization—for example, letting me choose a specific start and end date. Right now, I can only select how many days back to scrape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They offer an easy way to obtain and collect many different types of data, which can be useful for marketing practitioners as well as researchers.

Easy Access to Current and Historical Social Media Data with Great Support

What do you like best about the product?
Bright data is one of the only ways I know to easily get access to current and historical social media data. It is also easy to use and has good customer service. The pro bono data access for academic projects is also a major plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its unclear how the data is collected. But I mostly am happy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bright data is making it much easier to access current social media data, which became a big issue when Twitter/Reddit shut down their APIs.
