AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
DeepL API Growth includes 12 million characters and 120 speech-to-text hours per year, plus features like CAT tool integration, / execution, admin API, up to 10 keys, and audit logging (1 year). Any additional usage will be billed separately.

DeepL API Enterprise
DeepL API Enterprise includes everything in DeepL API Growth, 600 million characters and 240 speech-to-text hours per year. Plus enterprise features like data residency, audit logging (2 years), premium support, and professional services. Any additional usage will be billed separately.
For custom pricing, EULA, or a private contract, please contact aws-marketplace@deepl.com.
You choose between two annual contract plans: DeepL API Growth and DeepL API Enterprise. Each plan bundles a set amount of translation characters and speech-to-text hours per year. Enterprise builds on Growth by including a larger annual allowance plus added capabilities like data residency and longer audit logging. Two usage-based rates apply on top of either plan: one charged per character for translation and one charged per second for speech-to-text. You use these rates for any usage beyond your plan's included allowance, so costs scale with actual consumption.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one character for translation billing?
Each character in your source text counts toward the per-character rate, billed at a set price per one million characters. Both your plan's included allowance and any overage measure the same way. File translations for documents like PDFs and Word files count the text characters processed.
What happens if I use more characters or speech-to-text hours than my plan includes?
Both plans include a set annual allowance of characters and speech-to-text hours. Once you pass that allowance, extra usage bills at the per-character rate for translation and the per-second rate for speech-to-text. Only usage beyond the included amount triggers these charges, so cost scales with actual consumption.
Which usage drives most of my bill — translation characters or speech-to-text?
Both charges apply independently and appear together. Translation bills per character; speech-to-text bills per second, shown as an hourly rate. Text-heavy workloads with large document volumes lean on the character charge. Voice-heavy workloads like live interpretation lean on the speech-to-text charge. Your usage mix decides which dominates.

High-Quality, Developer-Friendly Translation API with Powerful Customization

What do you like best about the product?
As a product designer, I recently needed to localize a complex app interface into German. The AI and intelligence behind DeepL is honestly on another level compared to other translation engines. It doesn’t just translate word for word; it picks up on the natural context and tone, which is crucial for UX/UI copy.
The API performance is lightning fast. We used their integrations to connect the API directly to our localization files, and it processed thousands of text strings in seconds. On top of that, the UI/UX of their developer dashboard is super clean, so it’s very easy to generate API keys and monitor usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial onboarding process for the Pro API tier felt a bit rigid, especially around setting up the billing limits. Also, their customer support is quite slow. If your API key suddenly throws an error, there is no live chat to get immediate help; you have to email the support team and wait for a response, which can block your workflow. Finally, while the initial pricing and ROI is good, if you are continuously translating massive databases, the character limits burn out quickly and it gets expensive fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It completely automates the localization bottleneck. Instead of manually copying and pasting text into web translators or waiting weeks for human translation agencies, we just push our English JSON files through the API. We get perfectly natural-sounding German UI text back almost instantly. It saves our design and dev team a ridiculous amount of time.

Natural and precise translations with DeepL API, quick and easy to integrate

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about DeepL API is the high quality of its translations, as it offers very natural and precise results, especially in technical and professional texts. Additionally, its ease of integration, good documentation, and quick response time make it a very efficient tool for developers who need reliable translations in their applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about the DeepL API is that it has a high cost compared to other translation APIs, especially when handling large volumes of text. Additionally, the number of supported languages is more limited, which can be a disadvantage for projects that require translations into less common languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
DeepL API solves the problem of inaccurate machine translation, especially in technical, professional texts or those with complex natural language. Thanks to its artificial intelligence technology, it offers clearer, more coherent translations that are faithful to the original context.
This benefits me because it saves time and effort, reduces the need for manual corrections, and allows high-quality translations to be integrated directly into applications, websites, or internal systems, improving multilingual communication quickly and reliably.
