This product has charges associated with it for seller support. It is an optimized and security-enhanced operating system based on CentOS Stream 9, backed by extended technical support from our professional team, designed to deliver a smooth, stable, and secure production environment for users.

    Overview

This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for extended support.

This product is an AWS AMI (Amazon Machine Image) built upon CentOS Stream 9, designed to provide an out-of-the-box, stable, secure, and cloud-optimized operating system solution. Through systematic configuration adjustments and feature enhancements, we ensure that instances are in an optimal state upon launch, backed by professional technical support services.

System and Partition Configuration The system supports both Standard Partitioning and LVM (Logical Volume Management) layouts. The root filesystem is available in either ext4 or XFS formats, depending on the specific version. Each image has been rigorously optimized for performance and stability based on its respective filesystem and partition structure.

Note: Please refer to the AMI product title for the specific combination of partition layout and filesystem type included in this version.

Security and Integration For enhanced ease of use and manageability, the operating system firewall is disabled by default, allowing users to configure rules as needed. The system is pre-integrated with the AWS Systems Manager Agent (SSM Agent), enabling secure, credential-free instance management, real-time monitoring, and automated operations directly via the AWS Console.

Automatic Performance Tuning Upon startup, the system automatically applies a suite of lightweight yet robust kernel parameter optimizations tailored to the detected instance type and size. These adjustments span the compute, storage, and network layers, ensuring that hardware resources are utilized at peak efficiency. All modifications are strictly validated for compatibility and stability to ensure high performance without the risks of over-tuning.

Technical Support and Service Scope We provide multiple technical support channels, including email, community forums, and a knowledge base. Our support primarily addresses configuration, functionality, and compatibility issues encountered while using the operating system. If an upstream software bug is identified, we will assist users in developing mitigation measures or alternative solutions and help escalate the issue to the open-source community, with final fixes following the official update process.

Product Lifecycle Commitment We are committed to updating this product at least quarterly. Critical security vulnerabilities will be addressed with real-time updates. The last three major versions of the product will be maintained and made available to users.

    Highlights

    • Pre-optimized & Auto-tuned: Automatically applies kernel optimizations based on AWS instance types for out-of-the-box performance.
    • Security-hardened & Seamlessly Integrated: Features security-hardened configurations and comes pre-installed with AWS SSM Agent for secure and effortless server management.
    • Professional Support & Ongoing Maintenance: Backed by extended professional support and a commitment to at least quarterly updates, ensuring long-term stability and security.

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

Note: For all Avora Linux AMI products, the default login username is ec2-user.

    Connect via SSH:

    1. Launch the Instance: Launch an instance from this AMI using the EC2 Console or AWS CLI. Ensure you select a Key Pair during the launch process.

    2. Security Group: Make sure the Security Group attached to the instance allows inbound traffic on TCP port 22 (SSH) from your IP address.

    3. Connect: Open your terminal or SSH client and connect using the default username centos and your private key file.

      Bash

      ssh -i "your-key-pair.pem" ec2-user@<Public-DNS-or-IP>
    4. AWS Documentation: For detailed instructions on connecting to your instance, please refer to the official AWS User Guide: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/connect-to-linux-instance.html

Connect via AWS Systems Manager (SSM): This AMI comes pre-installed with the AWS SSM Agent. If you attach an IAM role with the AmazonSSMManagedInstanceCore policy to the instance, you can securely connect via Session Manager in the AWS Console without opening port 22 or managing SSH keys. (For using Session Manager, please refer to the official AWS User Guide: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/connect-with-systems-manager-session-manager.html )

    System Details:

    • Root Volume: 8GB GPT (supports LVM or standard partition expansion).
    • Boot Mode: Supports both Legacy BIOS and UEFI (UEFI-preferred).
