Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

This listing offers three subscription tiers plus a usage add-on. You pay based on contributors, meaning the software developers added to your teams. LinearB Essentials, Business, and Enterprise set the scope: Business covers 50 contributors with unlimited repos and 3-year data retention, while Enterprise uses a custom contributor count and adds SSO, an on-prem agent, and 5-year data retention. LinearB Credits is a separate dimension billed monthly, measuring automation and AI usage. Credits are consumed when automations run on pull requests. Each account includes a bundled credit allocation tied to contributors, and you can buy more as needed.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A contributor is a software developer added to a team for which metrics are built. Any user assigned to at least one team is billable. Merged platform, git, project management, and AI tool accounts count once. Users not on any team are not billable and add no cost.
Credits are consumed when an automation runs on a pull request. One automated pull request uses 100 credits, regardless of how many automations apply. You may exceed your allocation at no charge in any two months per year, capped at 120% of your standard allocation.
Credits do not roll over. They reset on the first of each month. Each account includes a bundled monthly allocation tied to the number of licensed contributors. Any additional credits you purchase become part of your monthly allocation for the rest of the contract year.

What do you like best about the product?
LinearB enables you to collect information from your source control system and task management tool and visualize the data. It helps an engineering manager to understand where his org can improve, what metrics he should focus on and take actions to improve them.
What do you dislike about the product?
LinearB provides a lot of dashboards and metrics, and you can customize them. I was missing the ability to push information to managers / team leads, through a weekly email or slack message. Adding this would make it easier to get people's focus on the metrics that are important, and act to change and improve them, faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LinearB enables us to visualize data that is collected across multiple systems.

Nothing that springs to mind, but more granular access over individual/group permissions is something worth considering.
