What do you like best about the product?
I feel like Virtru Email Encryption keeps sensitive information safe. The initial setup was pretty easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, especially after a reboot, I have to activate the app again. I wish it were easier to open from my phone. There are several steps to opening an email from my phone. It's the same email, but it's not worth the effort, so I just wait until I'm on my laptop to open Virtru protected emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Virtru Email Encryption to send sensitive emails securely. It keeps sensitive information safe.

What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Virtru Data Protection Gateway is that my entire team uses it to securely encrypt our email and our sensitive financial files. I use it internally as well as for communicating with our portfolio companies and investors. Virtru Data Protection Gateway seamlessly integrates with our G Suite account and is much easier to use than traditional secure file system or password-protected email messaging tools. I also love the Virtru team, which offers a powerful API that we can use to build the encryption into software tools that we build or use internally in our work.
A specific example of how I use Virtru Data Protection Gateway to encrypt sensitive financial files or emails is that it's a superior choice for financial professionals, especially when handling sensitive company financial or confidential information. It's especially helpful for busy professionals using G Suite or Office 365 .
Email encryption without installing or exchanging keys with the recipient is very easy. We also use it to encrypt our sensitive emails in a few different use cases. We can let the sender manually encrypt the email or, based on keywords in the email, we suggest the user encrypt the email or we auto-do it.
What is most valuable?
The best features Virtru Data Protection Gateway offers include email DLP that is easy to configure and maintain, applications sent directly from SaaS applications like Zendesk and Salesforce , and the ability to protect attachments with restrictions such as time, print, and copy.
The email DLP and attachment restrictions have helped my team by making it very easy to configure and maintain our emails. Email encryption without installing or exchanging keys with the recipient has boosted our email security.
Since we started using Virtru Data Protection Gateway, we have been able to save manual work and a few steps of daily work of our representatives. We have been able to save 50 to 60 hours a month, and we ensure customer sensitivity information is well encrypted and protected, preventing data breaches and ensuring regulation compliance, which allows us to continue doing business.
The time savings have affected my team's productivity positively, as we have been able to focus on more strategic tasks. This has allowed us to become more productive and deliver more to our clients within a short time.
What needs improvement?
Virtru Data Protection Gateway could be improved by introducing support for all AWS , and an easy one-click integration with CRM tools would be highly appreciated.
I would also like them to make their user interface more user-friendly.

I switched from GetResponse to Virtru Data Protection Gateway because Virtru Data Protection Gateway is very cost-effective and provides robust security features that are able to protect our data and encrypt it very well.

The setup via G Suite is easy, and Virtru Data Protection Gateway integrates with our G Suite seamlessly.
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that we find the pricing very reasonable, and the setup was straightforward.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a return on investment as it keeps us compliant, reduces risk, and saves us 40 to 50 hours per month.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Virtru Data Protection Gateway, we did not evaluate other alternatives such as Microsoft 365.

My advice to others looking into using Virtru Data Protection Gateway is that if you use Google Suite, this is a must-have tool. If you want to save manual work, I recommend Virtru Data Protection Gateway. I give this product a rating of 9.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Virtru Email Encryption for work and it helps keep our data and our patients' data safe and secure. It's easy and fast to use, and I find the authentication process simple. Setting it up was easy and simple too.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way the messages come in to me from an outside agency, it comes in the wrong order. I'll get 3 emails in the same chain about 3 different cases. It makes it very confusing when I only want emails in a chain from 1 case I'm working on.
