Each dimension maps to a specific AWS Graviton (ARM) EC2 instance type, so the price you pay depends on the instance you launch. Larger instance sizes within a family carry higher hourly rates, scaling with vCPU and memory. The lineup spans general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and metal (bare-metal) families, plus sizes from small to very large. Pick the instance that fits your workload; billing stops when the instance stops. The hourly charge bundles the hardened operating system image and vendor support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one running AWS Graviton (ARM) EC2 instance, billed per hour. The hourly rate covers the hardened Ubuntu 24.04 operating system image plus vendor support. You pay separately for the underlying AWS compute and any storage through your AWS account.
The software charge meters running time only. When you stop an instance, the hourly software charge stops too. A stopped instance may still accrue AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this listing's hourly rate.
Each instance type is its own pricing dimension. Switching sizes or families means launching a different instance type, which then bills at that type's hourly rate. The change is not automatic; you select the instance when you launch it.
