Dimensions summary
You buy Varonis Interceptor as a contract with three independent coverage options, each priced per unit. One option protects cloud email against social engineering and adds email auditing, permissions analysis, mailbox posture, and behavior alerts. A second option protects web browsers by blocking malicious sites and credential harvesting. A third option defends mobile devices against SMS phishing and social engineering. These are not tiers or upgrades of one another. You select the channels you want to cover, and each is billed separately by unit quantity, so cost scales with how many units you buy per option.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each option is priced per unit, where a unit maps to a protected user or device covered by that channel. Email covers a user's cloud mailbox, browser covers a user's browser sessions, and mobile covers a user's device. You pay per unit for each option you select.
Each option bills independently by its own unit quantity. The three are not tiers, so buying multiple options adds separate line items rather than moving you into a higher price band. Your total is the sum of units purchased per option you select.
The email option adds email event auditing, permissions analysis, mailbox posture management, and behavior-based (UEBA) alerts. It analyzes message tone and intent, scans linked sites, and can flag risky forwarding rules and abnormal send or receive activity. These extras are specific to the email option, not the browser or mobile options.
