    Dimensions summary

Orkes Cloud is sold through a single contract dimension billed by subscription units. You commit to a set number of units under a contract term rather than paying per hour or per workflow. This gives you managed, dedicated Conductor instances for workflow orchestration. You can run the platform hosted by Orkes or within your own cloud footprint. Pricing scales with the number of units you subscribe to, letting you size the commitment to your expected workload. There are no separate tiers or add-on dimensions to configure on the Marketplace.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

The Marketplace lists a single subscription-unit dimension without a public per-unit definition. Units generally map to your dedicated Conductor cluster capacity, which scales to handle large volumes of workflows and task executions. Because sizing depends on your throughput needs, confirm the exact unit definition with the vendor before committing.
Your contract commits to a set number of subscription units. The platform can scale to billions of workflows, but your committed unit count stays fixed for the term. Growth beyond your sized capacity means adjusting your unit commitment rather than automatic per-workflow charges. Plan your unit count around expected peak workload.
The Marketplace shows one subscription-unit dimension covering both deployment choices. You can run the platform hosted by Orkes or within your own cloud footprint. The listing does not set separate pricing for each option. Any cost difference for customer-hosted deployment should be confirmed directly with the vendor.

    Orkes Platform

    Reviewed on Dec 18, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Orkes simplifies the creation of complex software workflows, making them both reliable and scalable. Its visual editor allows developers to concentrate on building features rather than worrying about infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users of Orkes, particularly those using Orkes Conductor for workflow orchestration, often appreciate its robust capabilities for handling complex automation tasks. However, they frequently point out that the platform comes with a significant learning curve, demanding a strong understanding of various tech stacks and scripting. Additionally, some users express a desire for more accessible educational resources to help them quickly understand and take advantage of the platform's initial benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Orkes addresses the challenges of creating and maintaining reliable, scalable, and observable distributed systems by offering a unified workflow orchestration platform based on the proven Netflix Conductor.

How Orkes helped our Microservices Orchestration and Event-Driven System.

    Reviewed on Aug 20, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Orkes is honestly just the ease of use? Like, it doesn’t feel heavy or crazy complicated, even though it’s doing a million things behind the scenes. The ease of implementation was really good.... we got workflows running pretty fast without breaking anything else for once. And their customer support has been legit nice? They actually listen and troubleshoot with you, not just send some copy/paste replies from a script. It makes a huge difference. we have a high frequency of use since our whole team relies on workflows every single day. And the number of features is kinda wild? Sometimes I don’t even realize how much it can do until I just stumble on something new by accident. And yeah – the ease of integration with all our other microservices and APIs… it just makes it way less painful compared to some other tools I’ve had to fight with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Okay, sometimes it still feels a bit too much when you're just starting out. Like there's just a ton of configs and options to remember right off the bat, it can be a lot. Implementing was fine for the basic stuff, but then when we tried to build out these more complex, multi-step workflows? that got tricky real fast and honestly took way longer than we thought it would. Felt like we were constantly running into little snags. The number of features is honestly huge, which is great power and all that, but also super overwhelming at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's just managing all these crazy microservices and workflows that used to be a total mess, Like before, we had this spaghetti situation with random scripts and cron jobs just scattered everywhere, zero visibility into what was happening or what broke, now with Orkes, it's way easier to connect services together. I don't have to write a ton of extra code just to handle retries, or failures, or timeouts—it kinda just does that for me, which is huge. It also handles these long-running tasks that would just time out before, or things that need a human approval step in the middle. The real benefit is just... I save so much time. There's way less random firefighting at 1 am because a cron job failed silently. Our processes are actually reliable now and can scale without any interruption. So the team can finally focus on building new stuff instead of constantly fixing broken flows.

What do you like best about the product?
Simplify workflow for the entire company
What do you dislike about the product?
Not bad, I just need to document more and watch tutorials to get the most out of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has simplified the way of tracking all the processes, it is phenomenal.
    Information Technology and Services

A game changer enabling us to build powerful software solutions faster, reliably, and with scale

    Reviewed on May 06, 2024
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Orkes is relatively easy to learn and to use. It takes perhaps a project or two, but once you change your paradigm about building solutions with an orchestrator, it opens a ton of possibilities. The ability to scale workflows is great. I see Orkes as a faster way to build modular solutions without having to build infrastructure. My team is less focused on infrastructure of a whole workflow, and they now spend the time creating value added solutions that leverage all the benefits that come out of the box from Orkes. Also, I love the different types of connectors, as they reduce a lot of the complexity in managing different integrations with other technologies. There are a lot of connectors out of the box. Finally, a really cool addition is the concept of a human task, in which Orkes can control and manage tasks that require human manual input. Also, we have found extremely responsive support from their team, and access to the creators of the solution for architectural guidance. That is very valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a whole lot to say here. It took some time to get my team to be involved in Orkes, but that was more because they were busy with other projects. I had a bit of resistance at the beginning because it wasn't clear how Orkes could be used right away. But once those developers had an opportunity to work on the solution with some focus and build a specific workflow for our enterprise, they were immediately converted. So, perhaps more easily available material to educate the developers on the immediate benefits could help. But this is a lot more about our internal process than anything else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a software solution that offers the ability to integrate with via Enterprise APIs. Many of our most common workflows have been built independently and with their own infrastructure. Orkes is allowing us to standardize all integrations, to build middlewares, and to centralize the implementation allowing a lot of reusability in its components. Orkes allows us to create workflows and middlewares that are scalable, modular, and reusable, with all the benefits out of the box, like scalability, observability, monitoring, reportability, and centralization of the control and management.
