Dimensions summary
Nova Leap is a Mission Control interface that works with AWS Ground Station. The software itself is free to use. You pay only for the underlying EC2 compute instance you choose to run it on, billed by the hour. Each dimension represents a different EC2 instance type across the t3, c5, c6i, m5, m6i, r5, and r6i families. These vary by CPU and memory balance. Pick the instance that fits your workload and performance needs. Your cost scales with how many hours the selected instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One hour represents one running hour of the EC2 instance you select. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, such as t3.micro or m5.large. These differ in CPU count and memory. You are billed for each hour the chosen instance runs, counted per instance.
The software itself is free, so no software charges apply. Hourly billing tracks running time on your selected EC2 instance. A fully stopped instance stops accruing running-hour charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes.
Each family balances CPU and memory differently. The t3 line targets general workloads, the c-series favors compute, the m-series balances resources, and the r-series adds more memory. Your cost depends on which instance you pick and how many hours it runs, billed per hour.

Infrastructure Creation for Nova Leap
Nova Leap requires an IAM role that is attached to your EC2 instance to perform CRUD operations with Ground Station.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
Access the application via a browser at https://<ip-address>:443. To connect to the operating system, use SSH and the username ec2-user. An instance profile with a policy stated in the CloudFormation template will get attached to the instance. This will allow Nova Leap to communicate with your AWS Ground Station network. Once configured you are able to navigate to the IP address of the EC2 instance and you should be greeted with the user interface for Nova Leap.

This helped make creating configs and profiles much easier. I was learning how Ground Station worked and much of what needed to be configured had to be through the SDK. This gives a user interface layer so I don't need to programmatically do it. Looking forward to the upcoming updates.
