AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
This is a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) listing, so the Marketplace price shows as Free. You pay a single dimension measured in License units. Under BYOL, you buy or hold your license separately from the vendor, then apply it here. The Marketplace itself charges nothing for the software license units. You still pay your own AWS infrastructure costs for running the software. Because there is only one dimension, there are no tiers or usage add-ons to compare on the Marketplace. License quantity reflects the terms you arrange directly with the vendor.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one License unit for this BYOL listing?
A License unit represents the software license you arrange directly with the vendor. Licensing is quoted by number of users and data volume. Each user is assigned a dedicated storage location in the portal. Contact the vendor to confirm how your user count maps to license units.
Does the Marketplace price cover my cloud storage and infrastructure costs?
No. The BYOL software license and Marketplace charge are separate from your cloud costs. You still pay your cloud provider for the underlying infrastructure and storage where files land. Files pass directly to your private storage and are never held in an intermediary location.
What happens to my costs if I stop or pause the server instance?
Your cloud provider bills the running infrastructure. If you stop the server instance, you halt those hourly infrastructure charges. The BYOL software license itself is arranged separately with the vendor, so pausing the instance affects your cloud provider bill, not the license terms.

Version release notes
StorageLink BYOL 1.3.1 is a security patch of 1.3.0. It clears the CRITICAL and HIGH dependency CVEs published since 1.3.0 (Apache Tomcat 11.0.25, jackson-databind 2.21.7, Log4j API 2.25.5) and includes other security fixes: under specific conditions a user who already had valid credentials could access files outside the permissions assigned to them; someone without a valid login could not. It adds no features, application properties or database changes; your licence carries forward unchanged. Every deployment should upgrade. Before upgrading, read Action required in the release notes if you use Azure storage or rename items through the API: https://help.thorntech.com/storagelink/docs/general-information/release-notes. Existing instances can upgrade in place with the script at https://help.thorntech.com/storagelink/docs/backup-migration-update/in-place-upgrade; the image is rebaked from the current Amazon Linux 2023 base.
