Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
You can configure StorageLink with CloudFormation, or as an Amazon Machine Image. We highly recommend using CloudFormation because it configures additional AWS resources you would otherwise need to provision manually.
To access the product after launching the CloudFormation stack, simply grab the host name from the CloudFormation Outputs tab and paste it into your browser to access the Admin web interface.
Please see our documentation for detailed instructions on launching StorageLink from the AWS Marketplace.
RolePolicies: This IAM policy grants SFTP Gateway the necessary IAM permissions needed for normal operation. This includes the ability to send logs to CloudWatch, accessing Secrets Manager for the RDS database password (in HA), and some minimal S3 permissions.
RestrictedStorageLinkRole: This role associates the RolePolicies IAM policy with the EC2 instance. Of note, S3 permissions are limited to those granted by RolePolicies, which includes access to S3 resources that follow the naming convention: s3://swiftgw-i-*. The restricted role is the default option, and should be used to prevent StorageLink from accessing existing S3 buckets.
OpenStorageLinkRole: This IAM role has the same permissions of the restricted role, plus S3 Full Access. Broader S3 permissions makes it more convenient to map users to new S3 buckets. Caution should be used when selecting "open Bucket Access", because StorageLink will have IAM permissions to existing S3 buckets.

Customer reviews
Good initial product, support.
We needed a Web GUI based file service on our own private AWS S3 environment.
It fits most cases, although there is still improvement needed in some areas.
The E-mail support works fine and we get rather fast feedback. Already submitted some small bugs and enhancements for a better user experience.
Currently used by a limited audience inside the team.
