Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

This contract pricing splits into two separate charges. The AI training fee bills per hour, so your cost scales with the number of training hours you use. The platform fee is a separate charge for use of the Invisible Platform itself. Together, these two dimensions form your total contract cost: one tied to hourly training activity, the other covering platform access. The platform supports annotation, model training, and evaluation work delivered through the vendor's expert network.

What does the per-hour AI training fee actually measure?
It meters the time experts and the platform spend on your training work. This covers annotation, model training, and evaluation delivered through the vendor's expert network. Your cost rises with the number of training hours used, so lighter workloads accrue fewer hours and heavier ones accrue more.
How do the per-hour fee and platform fee combine on my bill?
Both charges bill independently and appear on the same contract. The platform fee covers access to the Invisible Platform itself. The per-hour training fee scales with hours worked. For variable training volume, the hourly charge tends to drive most of your cost, while the platform fee stays fixed.
Does the platform fee change if I run more or fewer training hours?
No. The platform fee is a separate charge for use of the Invisible Platform and does not track training hours. Only the per-hour training fee moves with the hours you use. The two charges are metered independently.

ZPA Connectors provide the secure authenticated interface between a customer's servers and the Zscaler Private Access cloud.
App Connectors can be deployed in several forms. Zscaler distributes a standard virtual machine (VM) image for deployment in enterprise data centers, local private cloud environments such as VMware, or public cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2. Additionally, Zscaler provides packages that can be installed on supported Linux distributions.
Connectors can be co-located with your enterprise applications, or they can be deployed in any location that has connectivity to the applications. Typically, they are deployed on network segments that can access secured applications and the ZPA cloud simultaneously, such as in a DMZ. Connectors only connect outbound; they do not need any inbound open ports to operate correctly.
